I might return sometime this month with some pics from Fanime, which happened around 2 weeks ago. (but don't hold me to it...) I'd hoped to cosplay Soren with his outfit from Fire Emblem Heroes, but I'm still not quite done with it. (Hopefully in time for AX...) So I pulled out my 10+ year old cosplay of him, the Radiant Dawn version, ahaha. I am still amused and in disbelief that FE's popularity boomed since then and that people actually know who Soren is now. I mean, I wore Soren to a gathering around 10+ years ago, and that gathering had around 5 people or so. I remember there being a Titania and an Elincia...

So different now. XD There were even a few Soren charms being sold in the Artist Alley~ (I am also enjoying the resurgence of Soren fics) In any case, I hadn't thought I'd pull this old cosplay out, and that it'd still hold up over time. Lots of people complimented me on it, which felt a little weird, because it's such on old cosplay. :3;; (But now people actually know who I'm cosplaying!!) There were also lots of people who said, "Is that Soren?" "Hi Soren!" "Soren, you're my favorite" etc over the weekend. I thought maybe his Radiant Dawn version wouldn't get recognized as much if people mostly know him through Fire Emblem Heroes, but I guess not? There was also this girl who asked me who I was cosplaying, and after I answered, her friend told her, "I could have told you that!" Don't remember if it was her or another who said she wasn't sure but she thought I was Soren because of the brand on my forehead. I guess the brand is very recognizable, and Soren's outfit does share similarities even across games. There was also an artist in the AA who was ecstatic to see me cosplaying Soren. Her response was so cute, I had to buy her Ike x Soren charm. Soren, you're loved~ Other notable responses include: "Oh, it's Ike's boyfriend." "Soren, you're my favorite racist!" (To which the friend of the person went, "Whaaat?")

Last year's FE gathering was pretty large, and this year's was the same. I took some pics of the other cosplayers, but don't have any of myself from the gathering. But Fanime does have its official photographers, so pics exist~. Though not all very flattering. XD I'll uh... just link to some I'm in that I actually like, hahaha.

Failed T pose (So, Ike and us two Sorens were up, and Ike went for a hug, to everyone's awwwing, but then of course he turned it into a silly pose, and then he suggested a T pose for the next pic, to which I quite failed at)

He was the only Ike at the gathering, and I didn't see any other Ikes around the con. Maybe I should've gone around asking, "Is Ike here?" XD; There were at least two other Sorens though, both also cosplaying the Radiant Dawn version like me.

I would have no trouble requesting stuff. XD There are much fewer fandoms I would be able to write though, especially when I don't have as much time to review the canon.

I'm going to be traveling in December though, so it's likely I'll have to pass this year. D: Yuuuuuletide, ahhhhh. My yearly tradition!

Hm, but what if I skip out on Yuletide and instead... actually... attempt NaNoWriMo again in November... No, no, I shouldn't attempt Nano either. I don't have time for it! *flops* I might just aim for 50k again from all my stories combined instead of starting a new story. I shouldn't start any new stories. :'D;; (One day, Adair, one day. I'm so going to write canon from his POV)

Yet another card for trope_bingo. (At least I filled three squares for the previous one even though they were way past the deadline!) The deadline this time is much longer (Dec 31), so that gives me a long time with this particular card!

My LSK merchandise (notebooks, figurines, calendar, posters, etc) came today. :D Must take some pics sometime and...find a place for all of them, haha. The posters on my walls could use an updating.

Tenipuri Secret Santa exchange on Tumblr! Works are to be posted after December 25th. I received a very fun assignment. I just have to brush up on canon a bit and read the profiles of the characters to make sure I have all the details right.

yuletide assignments are out! Fic is due December 22. I wonder who got matched with me... :3;; I got a pretty cool match. I only offered a handful of fandoms this time, but I was still surprised by what I got. I'm quite happy with it though! Time to review the canon~. I might also try to write one of the fandoms I wasn't matched on, but I'll have to see how I do with my first fic first.

And quite randomly, unrelated to all of the above... Silent Eagle / Awaitsun's character design from the Legend of Sun Knight manhua!!!! Do you feel he looks handsome enough? XDDD He is supposedly the handsomest character ever, one who is so handsome that guys would want to kill him to decrease their rival in love by one. (He reminds me of Ice... Just like Adair and Cloud both reminded me of Ice... Everyone reminds me of Ice... Must be how expressionless they are...) I did not picture him with white hair though. Not at all! I feel he'd look more charismatic with black hair. In fact, the Son of the God of War looks more charismatic with his manhua design! Oh well... I can't wait to see him in the manhua. He'll be showing up in volume 6.

I am so, so close to finishing Bittersweet Sweetness. I am going to finish this fic. 4 parts should do it. (Except, I've been hit with the urge to write a spin-off of it. A BL version. NOOOOoooooo....) Anyway, Part 33 should be done soon. I'm in the middle of editing it, and Part 34 is half written too. I've reread the entire fic again to make sure I'm tying up all of the loose ends (and of course, I get plunnied even more...). I made quite a lot of edits to my document, but I wonder if I should attempt to make all the edits to the three different places I've posted the fic... T__T;)

It makes me happy when characters I like are well received, hahahaha. (Or at least thought of as very, very awesome)

1. Adair (He can fight on the battlefield, enter the kitchen, and grace the great halls. Personally approved by the Sun Knight)
2. Kyle (Isn't it Bill? Computer in hand equates to the world in his grasp. Since the Sun Emperor hung up the call and did not accept the interview, his personal approval was not acquired)
3. Charles (He has housework completely covered. After leveling up, he can part-time as a non-professional doctor. Ri Xiang Ye strongly recommends him but also asks you not to steal him away)
4. Bai Saya (Only specializes in taking care of children. Truthfully he is only here to even out the numbers. Compared to the above three, his only advantage and possibly the only thing that matters is that he is young and handsome)

The votes were predominantly for #1, Adair (亞戴爾). XDDD;; I would choose him without a second of hesitation too, hahahaha. Because he truly has everything covered. Kyle would be a good choice too for business, but he probably can't serve as a bodyguard. =P Charles is not a good choice for business. Neither is Bai Saya, hahahah. They're both too nice. Though, I think it would be very hard to steal Adair away from Sun. Not that any of the others would be easy to steal away either...

Yuletide nominations have ended. I managed to make my nominations (I have basically been passing out right after work nearly every day, so merely making time for nominations has been hard! :3;;; ). It's a good thing that the deadline for Yuletide is during the holidays when I have time off, so I should be able to participate in Yuletide once more. ♥ I'm completely unsure what I'll be requesting and offering yet. I'll decide once the tags are finalized. I did see lots of people mention series I'm interested in, so even if I hadn't nominated anything, I would have been totally fine!

As for NaNoWriMo next month... It's probably a pass for me this year. I doubt I'll have the energy! Over all of 2013 so far, I've only written around 50k words with everything over the past 9 months added together. No way I'd be able to write 50k in one month on top of my new job. :'D;;;; I hope I'll be able to make some progress on my current WIPs instead. If I can write 25k for my WIPs, I will be very, very happy! (I will be even happier if I can finish at least one of my WIPs!! At the top of this list are Bittersweet Sweetness and A Vice-Captain's Tale.)

Then again, it would be very nice to be able to print one of my stories... XD;;; I looove CreateSpace's offer of printing books. It always tempts me. XD

parallelsfic has started once again! \o\ It's a rare Asian fandoms fanwork exchange. Nominations end on June 15. Sign-ups are between June 16-June 29, and assignments go out on July 1 and are due in a month on August 1. Here's the A03 collection, nominations for series/characters go here, and series that have already been nominated can be viewed here.

I'm super excited. :DDDD Many series have already been nominated! Assassination Classroom, Haikyuu, Hataraku Maou-sama, Fire Emblem (several of them!!! Rekka no Ken, Fuuin no Tsurugi, Path of Radiance, Awakening... ahhhh), just to name a few series I'm currently into... So many other awesome nominations too, like Suikoden I, III, Tierkreis (none of which I can write, but I would love fic), Shingeki no Kyojin, Kuragehime, Oresama Teacher... Last year, I wrote a Kuroko no Basket fic for Parallels. I wonder what I'll end up writing this year? :3 I certainly don't feel KnB can be considered a "rare" fandom anymore, haha. Awakening and Shingeki no Kyojin are both fairly popular at the moment, but fics are only just starting out, so hopefully people don't feel they're too popular to be rare. (Also, for Awakening... there don't seem to be many fics about Libra yet. I should request fic about him...) I can't really participate in the SnK fandom though, since I'm trying to avoid manga spoilers. :3;;

SO YEAH. Parallels is starting! If you like Asian fandoms, check it out! It's an exchange that includes three types of fanworks: fics, fanart, and videos! So if you fic, art, or vid, this is a great exchange to check out. :)

That aside, Jenny Flint has translated another two of my fics into Spanish~. This time, it's an Ace Attorney fic and a Death Note fic! \o/ Now that AA5 has been announced, I really should... post the AA fics I have in the works... before new canon completely trounces them... I haven't touched them in years though. :'D Perhaps I'll just post up what I have... just in my journal. Since they don't really end. OTL

(I saw so many cute mini Iron Mans and Hulks today and a mini Thor as well as a mini Captain America, omg, sooo cute). I'm currently in the midst of passing out candy. Non-stop door answering! I'm nearly out of candy. I so miscalculated how many kids there would be! SF Giants parade replay is playing in the background while I pass out candy. :3 Maybe the hype of the Giants winning this year had something to do with how excited everyone currently is... I heard some Gangnam Style was going on during the parade. Hope I see it later. XD

I managed to edit my signup for yuletide this morning, and I think I'm mostly satisfied now. Even if I'm not satisfied, signups are closed now, haha. Can't wait to see who I get matched with. I'm super happy that two of the series I nominated that didn't have requests before other than my own for one of them (Sket Dance and Chihayafuru) also have other requests now. :DDD Chihayafuru even has 6 offers! Kind of makes me wish I had requested it after all...

NaNoWriMo starts tomorrow! Which is a few hours away for me! Anyone joining this year? My page is right here. I'd love to be writing buddies. :D I'm hoping to rewrite my 2010 NaNo project (original fiction), though I'll still be trying to update my in progress fanfics, so I am very unsure if I'll make any progress with the original story. For people new to NaNoWriMo, it stands for National Novel Writing Month, where people try to write 50,000 words in the month of November. I'll be aiming to write 50k of anything, original or fanfic! I'll be happy as long as I can hit that word count.

Which means, first thing I need to do is try to finish Dishonest Honesty. Rough drafts are due Nov 2 for journeystory... I've yet to finish writing the story, ahhhhh. I'm only 1.5k in, OTL. The goal is 10k, but the more important thing is that I haven't gotten past the intro yet, ahaha...

LJ has been timing out horribly for me over the past week. If you want to get in touch with me, email or my plurk is probably a better way to do it!

ETA: Yu Wo is gathering story ideas here. :) She'll pick a few ideas and have readers vote for the top three. She'll be writing them as a Christmas/End-of-the-year present. Translation of the post over at Prince Revolution! under staff blog.
