Here's my letter for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide, just barely making signups! Some of these are requests I've made before but never matched on (or my writer decided to write a different series, haha). I would love to see fic for any of these series! :D (If you're curious what Yuletide is, hop on over here!)

This is meant to be extra info in case you are the type of writer who likes to know more or to explore fandoms you weren't matched on. Otherwise, feel free to disregard. I've included all the necessary info in my signups!

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo is getting a drama! :O Yankee-kun to Megane-chan was also made into a live action series. I guess something about Yoshikawa Miki's works must appeal to drama producers? High school setting. Romance. Delinquents. Humor? XD; My first thought was that Yamada-kun would be harder than Yankee-kun to make into a drama... but on second thought, the powers won't require special effects since they mostly just cause people to act differently. How well each person acts will be quite important! I guess this is doable! Everyone will just have to do a lot of kissing... haha...

The manga itself seems to be heading for a climax. I wonder if the series will keep going on after we meet all 7 witches or if it'll end.

Speaking of climaxes, SKET Dance is said to be entering the "climax" in volume 32. Whether this means volume 32 will be the last volume or not, I don't know, but I'm thinking it won't be. Climax doesn't equal ending (haha, I was tricked by Gakuen Alice! For several volumes, I thought we were at the end, but nope. We were just in the end arc). In any case, SKET Dance's ending is still near since a lot of chapters have already been spent on wrapping the story up. Passing the club down, talk about careers, almost confession... The story feels like it's wrapping up, so I'm not surprised by the announcement. I will be sad when the series ends though! :'( I hope we get a good, solid ending.
I caught up with Bokura no Kiseki and Orange Chocolate, two series I've been buying but haven't read very far. Also continued reading Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo and Usotsuki Lily. The connection between these four series? Genderbenders. XD;

Bokura no Kiseki (read up to volume 7)
Reincarnation series. Protagonist was a princess named Veronica in the past. He has always remembered his past life and was bullied for thinking that everyone remembers their past lives. He learns to be less obvious about it, though he also questions if his memories are real until one day, he performs magic, receiving proof about what he remembers. Although he hasn't wished for it, an event triggers the memories of his classmates. Several of his old companions who were with him on the day the castle was attacked have reincarnated among his classmates, but not all. Slowly, they try to unravel what happened during that fated day that caused everyone to die.

Orange Chocolate (read up to volume 11)
Two childhood friends end up swapping bodies because of a wish. After 1000 shrine visits, the shrine god grants your wish... Unfortunately, Chiro's wish is misinterpreted. She doesn't want to actually become Ritsu. Thankfully, their switch isn't permanent, but they keep getting switched at random times, such as when Ritsu is just about to go on stage, so Chiro would end up having to mimic him during his job. However, the amount of time they stay stuck as each other seems to get longer and longer.

Usotsuki Lily (read up to volume 11)
Hinata is asked out by En, who is a very hot guy, but she later finds out that he crossdresses all the time because he hates guys so much that he doesn't even want to see one in the mirror. This is just a very silly series that never fails to make me laugh. XD; There are a ton of scenarios where crossdressing happens (characters other than En also crossdress. Hinata makes a gorgeous guy). And so many times when the 4th wall is broken. Nothing much seems to happen, but I adore all of these characters. <3333 In the latest volume... I guess there's some progression in the plot. En doesn't seem to fare as badly with guys anymore. XD;;

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (read up to chapter 63)
Yamada accidentally switches bodies with Shiraishi Urara. By kissing, they can switch bodies, and it's not just limited to each other. He later discovers that there are seven witches at his school, each with a different power.

I thought this story was just about body-swapping, but nope, other powers come into play too. Body-swapping is my favorite though! I find it amusing that there is a ton of kissing going on in this story since the powers work by kissing. Yamada has kissed a ton of girls and a ton of guys. XD; Yamada-kun is by Yoshikawa Miki, who drew Yankee-kun to Megane-chan (which I sitll need to finish reading. I have 3 volumes left!), so the humor is quite similar.
I've been scarce on LJ! OTL Trying to play some catch up with everything this week. I can't believe March is almost over.

I came across a fishbone hairclip the other day though. Much awesomeness! That immediately went into my collection.

Random snippets about various series below.

Bakuman
The manga!! This is like, the moment everyone has been waiting for from the start, right? All the characters have come so far! ♥ The anime - Season 2 ended! I've yet to watch the last four episodes. I won't be too sad though, since season 3 will start in the fall. Tanto kind of brought a lull to the series, but PCP really brought the momentum back~

Natsume Yuujinchou
Ahhhhh, watched the finale of season 4 today! One of my favorite endings yet with how Natsume confronted the past and moved forward. I really appreciated the exploration of Natsume's past in this season. Like I said before, I feel I've learned so much more about Natsume in this season.

Magi
I started reading Magi last week~. I'm on ch.93. Favorite character is Alibaba. :D He's not all powerful or all that confident, but he feels so much and tries so hard. He's totally the type to rise up to the challenge. I always thought Aladdin was more grown up than this. I think I was mistaking Sinbad for the main character then. XD; The idea of dungeons and magoi and djinns is quite fascinating~. I'm just being introduced to Hakuryuu at the moment. I wonder what he'll bring to the story~.

Otoyomegatari
Another manga series I started reading. I've wanted to check it out since last year (it was one of the fandoms I could have written for [livejournal.com profile] parallelsfic. Now that I know who the characters are, I want to dig up [livejournal.com profile] dropsofviolet's requests again...). The artwork in this series is stunning. The content revolves around young brides' stories, starting off with Amir, who is 20, and her husband Karluk, who is 12. I thought they would be the main focus (and that the age difference might be a main point) but the story instead moves on from Amir and Karluk and touches upon other brides (and brides-to-be), branching off from Amir and Karluk's story, though maybe the story will eventually return to them. The age difference isn't a very large factor, and Amir and Karluk truly appreciate each other. There's a linguist called Henry Smith who stays with Karluk's tribe to study the culture and language. He later moves on from the tribe, and the story moves on with him! Though he's not the main character (at least I don't assume he is...), it's pretty interesting how the scene changed with him. I wonder if the manga will continue borrowing Smith's presence to show us various tribes and their brides-to-be. Perhaps we were with Amir and Karluk in the beginning because Smith was there!

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (Yamada and the Seven Witches)
A body-swap series by Yoshikawa Miki, mangaka of Yankee-kun to Megane-chan! Yesssss. I'm so there. XD; I love her humor~. It's set in high school yet again, though this time with some more supernatural elements, it feels like!

Avatar: The Legend of Korra
Watched the premiere yesterday. SO AWESOME. I can't wait for more. I already like Korra, and I like Tenzin a whole lot too. I was getting strangely emotional during the two episodes because wow, their world has changed but it's still so very easily recognizable as the same world. Loved seeing the influences of the previous cast on this new world. It's so sad to think that most of them have already passed on. Pro-bending has been pretty cool so far too!

Let's see, anything I'm forgetting... I've been borrowing manga from [livejournal.com profile] gem2niki. First up was Kami no Shizuku (Drops of God) about a guy who must correctly identify 13 wines left behind by his father (a famous wine critic) in his will in order to inherit his legacy. Only two volumes are out in English so far~. I look forward to seeing Shizuku learn more and more about wine! :D (I still can't believe this is written by the same person who wrote Kindaichi, Tantei Gakuen Q, Area no Kishi... so many different series!) I borrowed Pluto and Ooku next from g2n, but I haven't started on them. *cough* it was Magi's fault

Oh, and A Game of Thrones. I had to return my library copy, so I ended up buying the book after all. XD; It's going to take me a while to read!
