Here's my last fic of 2019, a Dr. Stone fic! Rereading Dr. Stone has been a blast. I was also working on a Dragalia Lost fic featuring Curran and Heinwald for my recipient, but that one isn't done yet. Not sure if I'll keep working on it since I haven't gotten very far with it, but I was very happy to match on two fandoms~.

I reread all of World Trigger from the beginning and finished watching the last part of the anime in my canon review. Have to say I still adore the series a lot, and I'm glad it's back from hiatus! Wishing the mangaka the best of health.

Yay, I managed to turn in my Yuletide fic, and it's not the deadline yet! And while I'd like to revise it some more, I can live with the current state it's in, too. Phew, I almost thought I wouldn't manage to write anything. Canon took forever to review (I have... 21k of notes now, pfft) and I came up with eight different ideas for my assignment, but I couldn't get past 500 words for any of them. All these stories going nowhere... One of them is sitting at around 450 words.

In the end? I wrote a completely different story that doesn't exactly follow any of the ideas, pffft. (It does take some tidbits from two of them, I guess). If I'm not buried by work next week, maybe I'll try to write a treat from one of those other ideas. =x I also marked some other letters I might like to try my hand at. Though I should also go and edit some of those LSK fics I have sitting around instead, as I'd like to be able to post them before 2018 ends, haha.

I'm so used to writing LSK fic (1st person too) that changing gears was hard. But I think I'll play in this sandbox some more while canon is still fresh in my mind.

Oh oh, and my writer has turned in their assignment too! \o\ I have a gift! :DDD

Also, Chihayafuru 205. ljas;dfsa;dfa; That hug killed me. I teared up a bit... :'D

Now, in Fire Emblem Aether Raids news, I'm definitely in the faction of not liking the boosts that the mystic heroes provide. If a mythic hero shows up that I like, maybe I'll add a mythic hero to my AR team then, but for now, I'm going without because I don't want to change the blessings on my core team. (I use this team for arena too!) But ahhhh, I was only missing 20 lift to make it to the next Tier. OTL So close, but so far... I just had to lose one unit fewer in my 2nd to last match to make it. Time to try again this week. :')

Happy New Year! Here was the fic I wrote for Yuletide. KtB~~. Haha, back in 2010, I said, "If I ever write another fic for KtB, I will so write about the twins since they're my favorite too." I wrote this story before I reread my own post back from 2010 and went, oh, hey, look, Lucathia, you really did end up writing about the twins! It's really thanks to Jan, whose prompt gave a lot of leeway and mentioned the twins and their dynamics with others. I was super amused when I got assigned Jan, as my previous and only KtB fic was also written for Jan way back in 2009 for Yuletide.

I've rewatched the Christmas special for Miraculous Ladybug too many times, heh, both in French and in English. (It's also pretty interesting to compare what gets changed in the translation) I giggled during this scene. It was a cute special, and the singing was super fun and over the top. I definitely wouldn't say no to more musical specials. Adrien's loneliness was really brought to the forefront here. Adrien!! ;__; While the special didn't tell much about his mom, it did reveal that she's only been missing for a year. I thought it would've been longer than that! I wish Tikki had gotten to sing too. Plagg got a cute little song, after all, that dramatic cat.

Soon, yuletide fics are going to go live~. I have a gift and a treat! I shook my presents (I can never resist), so I think I have a pretty good clue what the fandoms will be. XD

I'm considering signing up for yuletide this year. I first started participating in 2006 as a pinch hitter (I believe this was the fic, and I've participated every year since then until 2013. I didn't participate in 2014 because of traveling to Japan during December, and then I skipped 2015 as well. Would be lovely to participate again (and exercise my oneshot writing muscles). :) I made a list of what I might request and offer, but I'll have to give it some more thought.

Recently, I've been playing Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice. Bought it the day after it was released. It's awesome to see all the characters again, and I love that we're getting more about Apollo. I was hoping Dual Destinies would cover his background more, but it didn't, really. SoJ seems to remedy that. Whether I'll like his new background remains to be seen, but at least we're getting it!

I wouldn't mind if Phoenix wasn't in the game, haha. Whenever I'm faced with Phoenix's sections, I find myself wanting the game to head back to Apollo. :') So, I am pleasantly surprised that Apollo does indeed have quite the focus in this game.

yuletide stories have been moved to AO3 from the old Yuletide archive! Wow. I almost thought it wasn't happening. When I first got an AO3 account in 2009, I posted most of my fics there (except my first few fics from back in 2000~2004, hahaha, oh gosh, that was so long ago, as well as old incomplete WIPs that I doubted I would finish). I didn't post my Yuletide stories either, since I was told that the stories would be moved en masse from the old Yuletide archive. Well, after 4~5 years, it has finally happened. XD;; Now my account feels a bit more complete, hahahah. This puts me at 95 works on AO3.

My AO3 account is also starting to hold some fics that I haven't crossposted to ffnet because 1) they don't fit ffnet guidelines 2) there are spoilers that are harder to warn for on ffnet or 3) they're really short. I don't like posting super short fic on ffnet since I feel like it clutters my stories list, which is one long list. I feel that it's easier to sort fics on AO3, and I suppose the other reason is that I mostly use AO3 as an archive. So I really want it to be complete. (Also, fewer people are subscribed to me on AO3, so I don't feel like I'm spamming their inboxes by uploading a bunch of drabbles, ahahahaha...Many apologies to those who are subscribed to me. OTL)

Even though I didn't crosspost old WIPs to AO3, which meant AO3 mostly only housed my completed fics (...in the beginning), later on, I started posting my current WIPs... so now AO3 has a bunch of incomplete fics too. :'D WIPs will be the death of me. OTL

My word count for all of my fics combined on AO3 is 452,379. On ffnet, it's 559,163 (this one is likely inflated because it includes author's notes and fic headings).

...13 years of fanfic writing, Lucathia...13 years... and 550k is all you have to show for it? But more than that, the number of completed longfics is dishearteningly low. (...finish your stories, Lucathia, seriously). Maybe I should just limit myself to oneshots. (I love chaptered fics, but I'm so terrible at timely updates and plot). I'm pulled in too many directions nowadays. :'D *goes off to work on translations* (Oh, BTW, Legend of Sun Knight is seriously the most I've written for any fandom. Shaman King was the previous title holder. Prince of Tennis, on the other hand, is my perennial fandom. And then there are all these other fandoms in which I only write 1~4 fics of. I suppose Gyakuten Saiban would be higher on the list, except I've dropped the ball on several unfinished fics for that, so those fics will stay hidden in this LJ)

I think I'll make a list of my WIPs later... lists should help... I'll see which ones I can end... and what I need to do to get back at working on some of them. /super disorganized (I might also just type out what I intended for some stories that I probably won't be returning to)

I don't have any fic to post today in celebration, though now that Legend of Sun Knight V6C4 has been released over at Prince Revolution, the English fandom now knows about Metal's secret! (As well as Sun's and Judgment's secrets, wow, this is certainly a chapter of secrets... But haha, Metal's definitely left the biggest impression on me) I guess I can crosspost A Taste of More over at ffnet now. XD; Even though it is definitely not a fic that's very suitable for the holidays, pffft.
