These came today. o/ Very happy that Soren is in vol 5 of these mini figures, and it doesn't hurt that Roy and Lilina are in the same box as him. It's just too bad that Ike isn't. (I was almost tempted to buy the box with Ike in it, but that's a slippery slope because I probably wouldn't stop at just one Ike. You'll know what I mean when you see my itabag, pft) It's cute that a little map comes with these!

These are actually pretty tiny, haha. )

I have sadly dropped from Tier 20 in FEH just this week, having stayed since February, so a pretty good run. :3 Soren, Olivia, Nowi, you have worked hard. I probably won't build anyone with high BST just to try to keep up though, considering how most of my favorites are infantry units. But we'll see what happens with the arena update. My next merge projects are looking to be Lucius, Sothe, and Libra (so happy he's in the game now~). Haven't been getting Lucius or Sothe much at all though! (I think at this rate, Masked Marth will probably reach +10 before any of the boys).

I also have back up Sorens ready to steal the show if I ever run out of units to build. They're all rocking different IVs, ready to study your magic tomes. One will be a healer, one will be a debuffer with ploys, another will have chills, and last one will probably be a wall with double savage blow. A team of just Soren sounds pretty fun. (I am still holding out for Soren alts though, before I take the plunge) I'm also hoping to build an all guys flying team, but I've had no luck summoning Summer Takumi and his fishie bow (Linde showed up twice...) or Legendary Ryoma. So instead Shigure got stuck with some brides for now. :')

I never did post +10 Nowi here, did I? )

BTW, now for a completely different topic—I am putting together a 2nd book. Yes, a book! It has always been on the back burner (I even dug up my draft of the book, which was simply titled "Book 2" and has been sitting around my computer since 2015 pffft. I almost couldn't find it) but it took me until last year to actually finish writing A Vice-Captain's Tale, so long that I've mostly shelved thoughts of putting something together. But [livejournal.com profile] fhaystshilffe delivered a lovely picture of Roland ahhhhhh (he shall grace the cover~), so things are rolling again. XD

The book will include these stories: A Vice-Captain's Tale, so we can get to know you, Illuminate My Path, Drink Me Under, No Sweeter Words, Coming Home, A Poor Imitation, Improvements Imminent, Going Going Gone, and Thank You. I'm hoping to include Beyond the Storm Comes Sunlight as well (if I can finish part 2...) and a new story that takes place after A Vice-Captain's Tale and during so we can get to know you, featuring vice-captains taking care of their deaged captains. The book won't feature any oneshots from the New Horizons collection though, since I've only finished two of them so far and they're kind of their own thing. Same for stories part of the Cake verse. If anything, they should be part of their own books. :3;;

So... here's the writing plan:
*Beyond the Storm Comes Sunlight Part 2
*A Vice-Captain's Tale/so we can get to know you extra chapter

And then, for writing that has nothing to do with the book:
*dig up Dage's Illegitimate Child part 2?
*unnamed oneshot about Sun losing his powers (this has been on the plunny list for awhile~)
*possibly a Bokura no Kiseki oneshot

Can't say I've gotten very far on any of these but maybe at least one of these will get done if I get back into the habit of writing more. I think even rambling in my journal will help. I haven't even done that much lately! So, I aim to ramble more, ahahaha. I've finished formatting the stories I have so far, but they'll need revising and stuff, and I have some graphics to make for the book. So, it'll be a while yet until the book is ready. (And I might want to add more stories to it...) But hey, if anyone is interested in a copy, do let me know. XD (I'll be ordering one for my own shelf~) The book will be thinner than the Bittersweet one. So far, it's 288 pages. Unfortunately, I'll be busy soon, so if I don't finish early Aug, it'll be another wait... :') But well, eventually. I have no sense of time, seriously. (Watch me return to a story ten years later.)

Also, still hoping to post about Fanime and Anime Expo. I even already have notes on the guests and panels. XD; Maybe a retrospective on Crunchyroll Expo too (if I can find my notes), before I attend this year's expo, which is coming up next month. I'll be cosplaying FEH Soren again for at least a day, this time with the outfit more complete~.
For the first two weeks of August, I went off to Taiwan~. Been back from the trip for around a week (busy busy trying to settle in with work and catch up with stuff). It's been 17 years since I've traveled there. Boy, do I remember very little of Taiwan. Some things haven't changed though, while some stuff has changed a lot. But what's different about this trip is that I had places and events I wanted to cram in, with a shorter stay than any of my previous trips to Taiwan, so it was a trip with a super full itinerary. Went out bright and early every day and didn't get home until around 11 pm every night. Walked my feet off. XD There was no rest at all. I became very familiar with the public transit. I also got to see my relatives who I haven't seen in just as long as I haven't been back to Taiwan. 17 years!! (I was so tiny back then.)

J-Pop Summit this year changed locations and required an entrance fee ($25 for a day, some other price for both days). Debated whether to go or not. In the end, I attended, and it was quite fun~. It's definitely not packed this year, unlike previous years, because of the new location and entrance fee.

The new location! J-Pop Summit was held in Japantown in previous years, so it was convenient to eat and shop around there. This year, it's a bit far from everything, especially the New People Cinema for anyone who wanted to watch some movies during the event. The plus is that it's mostly indoors now and feels a bit like a convention. It kind of felt like Japan Expo!

Thanks for the birthday wishes~. ♥

I tried to write a oneshot for Mother's Day but didn't manage to finish it, so it might end up forever buried in my documents. :3;; Maybe I should just try to finish it without the Mother's Day spin... or rewrite it for Father's Day, lol!

Work is slaying me. But the end is in sight!

Next weekend is Fanime, right smack in the middle of deadlines and all that, but I hope I'll be able to put all of that out of mind for the weekend. XD;; Don't know if I'll be able to attend on Friday, but I am hoping that I can go to the Swap Meet... Last year, I attempted to, but the line was too much.

I haven't made any new cosplays because of work, but I'd like to cosplay Yoon from Akatsuki no Yona! This guy. Outfit doesn't seem too hard... I'm going to see what I can throw together this weekend. If it doesn't happen, I guess I'll dig out one of my old cosplays. Maybe Soren. My hair's long enough for Soren again.

If you're going to Fanime, I hope to see you there~. I'll be hanging around [livejournal.com profile] gem2niki's table, helping her sell in the Artist Alley when I'm not wandering the Dealer's Hall. Come say hi. :D

While, I'm at it, let me advertise her artbook. XD;; If you're a Free! fan or just like pretty art, check her artbook out~~. She's selling this at the convention and online! More info here.
Tuesday, April 28 is National Blueberry Pie Day!

Let's celebrate! Grisia would definitely love this day. XD

Too bad I don't bake... :3;;

I'm currently working on My Friend, the Pope (in-training) Part 7, so that should be the next fic to get updated. That is, if I can get to the point! I wrote 1.2k, threw it out, and wrote another 1.2k that I like somewhat better, but I've yet to get to the point even in this new version. :'D;; What is wrong with my writing, ahhhhh.
Nyanko-sensei went on a trip around Japan with two of his loyal servants. Here are his travel diary entries! (In other words, Lucathia got bored while stuck at the airport during the first day and decided to fiddle around with her phone. Then she thought she might as well continue for the rest of the trip. These are done on Line Camera.)

Vacation

Whoot, got all the chapters up for Prince Revolution, barely in time. XD;; I'm leaving the country today for two weeks~~. I'll be back in 2015! That means, no fic updates during this period. I'll be without a computer.

Have a great end of the year to all! I'll still be around online, just not posting fics or blog entries or translating. I'll still be answering comments, emails, plurks, and PMs. ;)

*sigh* I was hoping to be able to write more before I left on my trip, but it looks like my final published word count for 2014 is 113,844 words out of my 150,000 word goal! (I was so excited too when my word count meter turned green. It changed colors!) These last few days of work have really bowled me over, and I don't know how I am still awake with only 1.5 hours of sleep. (Every day, I feel more and more like Storm.)

...I'll sleep on my flight. :'D;;

I'll likely be plurking random pics of my trip if anyone is interested~~.

400 words...!

lucathia: (fishbones: flower background 2)
400 words left until I reach 100,000 words posted this year, ahhhh. I should go and finish something. But of course, now 400 words seem so daunting.

Hm, hm, what will be easiest to finish at the moment... :3

See you in a bit. XD; But if you don't see me, I'm probably translating instead. :'D

Giving Yuletide a pass this year. December is going to be dedicated to traveling~!! And I know I'll need my time before that to take care of updates and stuff (and RL) before I leave.

And brushing up on my Japanese, haha.

Why look, I'm alive enough to post something before the weekend. ;) Actually, I just had an unplanned nap. [livejournal.com profile] gem2niki tagged me to post ten things about myself, so let me do that veeery quickly.

For Sale

Stuff I'm selling! Payment is collected through PayPal! (This post should make much more sense than my previous confusing posts. :'D;;)

Alternatively, you can also place your order over at Storenvy.

Read more... )
I set up a Storenvy. It feels pretty cool to start one!

Fishbones!

Only one product there, that being Bittersweet Sweetness. XD; So, here's another option for people who want to obtain a book but don't want to use Google forms/email me/use PayPal/etc. Storenvy is for those who want to check out using credit card. You don't need to have PayPal to do it, and you don't have to talk with me. XD;;;

I raised the shipping fee a bit over there because it's all automated and I can't calculate on a case-to-case basis (and so that I can cover the credit card fees). Meaning, if you want to pay less, ordering via Google forms is still the way to go. :3;;

(Hm, maybe I should write up a products page here on LJ and organize things better instead of having links to all these different google forms scattered about, ahahaha *goes off to do that*)
Creators for Parallels have now been revealed. It's no surprise (or well, not a big surprise?) that I wrote so we can get to know you, an LSK fic. :'D

I got matched with [livejournal.com profile] kiyutsuna! XD;; When I got my assignment, I was pretty amused... since, like I thought, it was very easy for us to end up assigned to each other. What I didn't expect was that I'd end up writing a 10 chapter fic???? 15k words???? I only actually finished 4 chapters by the Aug 1 deadline, and then on August 11, I finished another 5 chapters, and I didn't post the final chapter until Aug 14... :'D But I made it before fics were revealed! Haha, I had a hard time not revealing anything. To avoid talking about my fic, I just... ended up not speaking about Parallels much at all. XD;

wordle )

long rambling )

I'll be crossposting the fic over several weeks, but it's all already available on AO3, so... XD;; But I might make some more edits.
I wonder, if I update Memories of the Future, if I'll get any response. :'D

It's been four years since I've last updated it. OTL (This is even worse than taking 3 years to finish writing Bittersweet Sweetness...) Was digging through my documents to see if I could find my partially written Invincible chapters. Came upon my notes for Memories of the Future instead, and whoa, I actually had quite an outline for it! With snippets of future scenes written out already for each chapter!

Lucathia, did you actually write all that?? You're terrible at outlines! T___T; Or even jotting down notes!

Thank goodness for this detailed outline though. I might just be able to finish writing this fic... one day. :'D

a small snippet from chapter 23 )

I better update all of my current WIPs more so they don't end up in this state ahhhhh. Hm, I was planning on updating Follow the Sign next, but wow, I am stumped. So, moving on...

Prince of Book

Kingstone voting for your favorite prince! (You have to log in, the pink button is for voting while the green button is for writing your confession) Event main page.

Grisia is currently 4th while Lesus is 6th. Charles is 17th. Jiang Ziya is 36th while Lu Yang is 38th.

First and second place are both from Unique Legend! UL is totally dominating both the prince and princess polls. :3;; (There's not a single character of Yu Wo's in the princess poll, hahaha. Hm... It does seem like most of her main characters are male...)

(Hm, there isn't a lot of new LSK merchandise this year in the August convention. Only... decorative tape? And a battery... )

New side story for Illusions-Lies-Truth featuring Lu Yang. Maybe we'll get to see his past? /will definitely try to buy this. I really like that illustration of young Lu Yang~~

First deadline for Parallels has passed. There are 7 pinch hits in need of writers/artists!

Books~~

Jul. 31st, 2014 10:01 pm

First batch of books!

Was a little nervous that the printing might go wrong because I changed one picture in the book. Thankfully everything looks right, and now I can order more without feeling nervous anymore. XD Will be getting another batch next week~~. (Some of you are part of the 2nd batch!) It's taking around 2 weeks for the books to be printed and shipped to me, longer than when I only printed one book (it only took a week then).

I shall be packing the books tonight and mailing some off tomorrow. After I finish writing my Parallels assignment, that is. |D;; I turned my assignment in, but I better get it into better shape before fics are revealed on Aug 15th!

I see I have a Parallels gift waiting for me~~

Look at what you guys have doooone, ROFL. (Put a book in Grisia's hands? Book it is! In other words, [livejournal.com profile] kiyutsuna is still alive and we are as crazy as ever and I should be sleeping. Good night.)

The book is ready to be ordered now! \o\ I just received my 2nd (revised) copy, and everything looks ready to go. I spent quite a lot of time rereading through the entire thing to catch errors, haha. |D;; I decided to stick with a matte cover!

If you filled out my previous form (I've now closed the form), I've emailed you for more information (your address, etc, so I can calculate your actual shipping price). Check your email! If you can't use paypal, I'll try to see if I can work something out with you. I'll be placing my order for this batch early next week! You make me happy for wanting a copy! :DDDD

For everyone else, please use this new form for orders. I will order your books separately, so the price will be the original price of $12 instead of the discounted $10 price. Feel free to order whenever! Books are printed on demand, so I'll be leaving orders open unless I get too busy to mail stuff out. If you have any questions, feel free to comment below or to email me at rykatu[at]yahoo[dot]com.

(Will update this post with more pictures later)

B-day~

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE BIRTHDAY WISHES! I HAD A RELAXING DAY. I ATE A LOT.

Got Bravely Default as a present! \o\

[livejournal.com profile] kiyutsuna drew me an amaaaaazing illustration of Adair in the "latest fashion!" Why is he so pretty ahhhhhh.

Fanime Con is next weekend (I am not ready). I will most likely be cosplaying Kiyoko from Haikyuu!! If I can finish getting things together, that is. XD; Don't have enough time to finish any other cosplay. |D;; (But maybe I'll re-wear an old cosplay? No idea...)
Hm, what to work on before my spring break is over... Rule 20 or the last part of 39 LSK first? Hopefully both before my spring break ends. |D;; (Maybe I'll even finally write up my reports for my conventions from last year, haha)

I'd like to update some of my fics too, OTL. Maybe it's time to take a dartboard out and see which one to work on first, pfft. I can't choose anymore. (New fics are always too shiny...) Endings are hard. Plot is hard. Writing is hard, hahaha. :'D Sometimes I really wish stories would just write themselves and then I can just read the end product... It seems I don't really write when I'm not stressed, pffft. Why, inspiration. Why do you only hit me when I'm busy? At least I was able to write the collab fic. |D;;

(Kiyutsuna is killing me with her drawings of the dress for A Slice of Wedding Cake. XDDD;)

Oh, I finished reading Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai (The World God Only Knows). ;___; Always sad to see a series end, but the ending made me glad. ♥ It probably didn't make a lot of people happy, and it felt rushed, but I thought it was the most developmentally fulfilling ending there could be.

more thoughts )

Recently, I started reading a manga called Shishunki Bitter Change where a boy and a girl end up swapping bodies when they were in elementary. It's pretty fascinating (though I'm wary of the ending because I browsed the web version this is based off of. Hopefully the ending will be less abrupt for this version). Yuuta and Yui have to pass off as each other. One is exuberant while the other is fairly withdrawn. One has a happy family while the other has a cold one. But the driving force of this manga isn't actually Yuuta and Yui getting used to being each other... Rather it's having to grow up as each other, and missing out on things they thought they'd have been doing, having to change their dreams of the future because of the uncertainty of whether or not things will stay this way, or if they will be able to change back... Most definitely a bitter change...

Oh, and this is all over the place now, but GYAKUTEN SAIBAN SET IN THE MEIJI ERA? Bring it ooooon.
Um wow. So many things have happened in RL since my last update even though it hasn't even been that long. I have not been in a very good place this past week. My dad has been in critical condition. He is in the CCU and has been in a medically induced coma since last week. I didn't know if he would be able to pull through last week, but I think things are starting to look up a bit. We still don't know though. I'm praying for a full recovery.

I've been very emotional and stressed this past week. I've still been writing, as that has been therapeutic for me. And, it's just nice to be able to laugh. Here are some really amusing reviews for A Rose for Your Hair. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face. :) Haha, I should write more crack. The reviews in response to this crack have been hilarious. XD

Read more... )

As for what I'm currently writing, I'm flitting between Bittersweet Sweetness 37 and Invincible 10. Neither are really advancing much... I'm planning My Friend, the Pope (in-training) 5, but I'm undecided if I should do more fluffy POVs (Ecilan next if so) or if I should jump forward with the plot (Roland POV if so).
