Happy Halloween, f-list! <3 Today Lucathia is cat!Lucathia. :) Did any of you dress up? (I saw so many cute mini Iron Mans and Hulks today and a mini Thor as well as a mini Captain America, omg, sooo cute). I'm currently in the midst of passing out candy. Non-stop door answering! I'm nearly out of candy. I so miscalculated how many kids there would be! SF Giants parade replay is playing in the background while I pass out candy. :3 Maybe the hype of the Giants winning this year had something to do with how excited everyone currently is... I heard some Gangnam Style was going on during the parade. Hope I see it later. XD

I managed to edit my signup for yuletide this morning, and I think I'm mostly satisfied now. Even if I'm not satisfied, signups are closed now, haha. Can't wait to see who I get matched with. I'm super happy that two of the series I nominated that didn't have requests before other than my own for one of them (Sket Dance and Chihayafuru) also have other requests now. :DDD Chihayafuru even has 6 offers! Kind of makes me wish I had requested it after all...

NaNoWriMo starts tomorrow! Which is a few hours away for me! Anyone joining this year? My page is right here. I'd love to be writing buddies. :D I'm hoping to rewrite my 2010 NaNo project (original fiction), though I'll still be trying to update my in progress fanfics, so I am very unsure if I'll make any progress with the original story. For people new to NaNoWriMo, it stands for National Novel Writing Month, where people try to write 50,000 words in the month of November. I'll be aiming to write 50k of anything, original or fanfic! I'll be happy as long as I can hit that word count.

Which means, first thing I need to do is try to finish Dishonest Honesty. Rough drafts are due Nov 2 for journeystory... I've yet to finish writing the story, ahhhhh. I'm only 1.5k in, OTL. The goal is 10k, but the more important thing is that I haven't gotten past the intro yet, ahaha...

LJ has been timing out horribly for me over the past week. If you want to get in touch with me, email or my plurk is probably a better way to do it!

ETA: Yu Wo is gathering story ideas here. :) She'll pick a few ideas and have readers vote for the top three. She'll be writing them as a Christmas/End-of-the-year present. Translation of the post over at Prince Revolution! under staff blog.

I still have a little more than 2 hours to go! But I don't have a solid idea of how I want to approach the story yet, so I won't be writing right away. I better do some quick planning. :) Hope you'll be able to write after school tomorrow! Your notes and plans look amazing. :D

lucky, I haven't had a halloween... since... almost 20 years. Costa Rica doesn't have holloweens, lately we have 'zombie parade' but I'm not really into zombies, so I don't dress...

I always keep count of how many trick-or-treaters I get each year. It was 75 this year! There's still a little over an hour before midnight, but I think this should be it. (One year, someone actually rang my doorbell at midnight though. So late...) It's a fun tradition. Many schools let out early today so kids could go home early. :) Huh... Zombie parade... what's it like?

For Journeystory, I'm unsure if I'll be able to finish before the deadline. If I don't finish before the November 2 deadline, I think that means I won't get officially assigned an artist. Would you still like to do art for the story if that happens...? I would love something that I could use as a cover! FFnet has images for stories now, so something for the cover might be nice! I can send you what I have of the story and the outline later on (once it's more filled in haha) for inspiration. I've yet to describe the trinket that causes people to switch bodies, but if you like woodworking, maybe making the trinket might be something to consider? Or would that be too much work... What type of art do you have in mind? :3

wow, rather late indeed, lol, but it is fun, and worth it. I do remember going trick-or-treating, and getting a nice lot of candy; mom then took out those 'I could eat' (mainly diet type, I believe) in the end it was... about a 10th of the initial pile

zombie parade... for what I saw in the news, everyone dresses like zombies (or zombie hunters, or silent hill, or the like ) and parade through the streets of the capital (scaring people, or freaking them out, and letting people take pictures). There were some really good costumes

I wouldn't mind making the art, even if you don't make it. making a wood trinket would be awesome, but not for this year, it is a bit too much work at the moment, a drawing I believe I can manage

I think there won't be any that late this year. It's been quiet. If they do ring my doorbell, I'm not opening the door anymore. I'm nearly ready for bed, haha. Trick-or-treating is fun! I remember years when there would be ~150 kids or so ringing our doorbell. Those were crazy years when I was also part of the little kiddies. XDD Seems like a lot of people have grown up, and there aren't as many kids around in the community anymore. But still, 75 kids this year. I almost ran out of candy and had to pass out the ones I was saving for myself. Aw, your pile grew very small by the end...

Aw, thanks! A drawing would be awesome! The main characters are Earth and Storm, who swap bodies in the fic. It follows right after Bittersweet Sweetness. This was the original fic I was going to write (when I wanted to write bodyswap), but somehow I ended up writing a whole story about Judgment and Sun instead... I'll send you what I have once I write more of the story! If I do manage by the deadline though, I'll submit the draft through the LJ community~.

I believe I heard the zombie parade started 4 years ago, it's not held on the 31, but I'm not sure if it's got a specific date, it's quite likely it's the nearest Saturday to Halloween.
I'm also not very clear on the facts, but I believe Halloween was somewhat banned, since it's not a national tradition. instead it's the 'national mascaraed day' (or maybe today is...)(and rather greatly ignored, unless you study arts and your classmates decide on mounting the parade themselves, at least that was last year, this year I was working all morning, so I don't know)
oh, by mascaraed I mean a procession/dance/teasing-of-spectators by... giants?... masks?... ah... the masqueraders... and a rather unorganized percussion and brass band.
(if you want you can google it, 'mascarada costa rica' and 'cimarrona'. It's rather hard to explain)
so, since Halloween is somewhat banned, we get Xmas decorations starting since mid September... (it's quite enough to make most everyone feel sick of it by the time Xmas does get around...)

well, you've made quite an epic out of Sun and Judge's swap, and they are also very swappable as they are. Earth and Storm for sure would make another quite interesting swapping experience, specially since those two must already have it quite to an involuntary action to... say, wink, for Ceo, oh god, Earth Knight suddenly winking would make quite some gossip

Happy (late) Halloween! I didn't get a chance to dress up this year, but my niece was also a cat. A purple one with a purple tutu. XD We didn't get very many trick-or-treaters, but that may have been because it was so cold.

Are you a Giants fan? I was sooo happy they won. They are such a fun team to watch and so easy to cheer for. :D

In the end, I had 75 trick-or-treaters, which is double the amount I had last year. :3 I heard from other people around my area that they had triple the amount they had last year! I always thought there'd be fewer kids out when Halloween falls on a weekday, but wow, I was wrong about that this year. The weather was quite good over here, even though it was supposed to rain (in the end, it didn't rain at all).

I watched nearly no baseball before the championship, but my brother called in excitement and told my family to turn on the TV during game 1 between the Tigers and the Giants. I ended up watching all the games in the series. :) It was really exciting! The Giants are local. I cheered hard for them. XD
