First fic of 2020~. Gave Chocolate Box a try. The low word count requirement eased a lot of the pressure. o/ BTW, my Heinwald in the game now has 9.5k might. A 9.5k might healer. Beautiful. ;D

Title: Business as Usual
Fandom: Dragalia Lost
Words: 2,229
Summary: In which Heinwald and Curran bicker a lot, and Heinwald gets lured by a mystery, only to be distracted by a different one.
Notes: for Pluralforce for [community profile] chocolateboxcomm 2020. Heinwald x Curran. All the banter! o/ Dialogue heavy fic. Humor.

Here's my last fic of 2019, a Dr. Stone fic! Rereading Dr. Stone has been a blast. I was also working on a Dragalia Lost fic featuring Curran and Heinwald for my recipient, but that one isn't done yet. Not sure if I'll keep working on it since I haven't gotten very far with it, but I was very happy to match on two fandoms~.

Title: Sensation
Fandom: Dr. Stone
Words: 3,908
Summary: Gen cherishes each sensation he's able to feel again, several of which he never thought he would ever get to feel a second time. He is a mentalist, not an optimist. He hasn't ever considered being able to see the new year again, to feel the cold of the night and the joy of a new day, yet here he is now, on this cliff beside perhaps the most optimistic of them all, dear Senku with his crazy, wild thoughts that he always brings to life.
Notes: for Pluralforce for [community profile] yuletide 2019. Asagiri Gen character study, featuring hints of Senku x Gen.

Parallels ran so smoothly~. Here's the fic I wrote!

Title: My Best Friend's Heart Was Broken So Now I'm Trying to Cheer Him Up
Fandom: Dragalia Lost
Words: 2,717
Summary: Ranzal thinks Luca got his heart broken by Aoi. It's all a misunderstanding, really, but Ranzal sets out to cheer Luca up. It includes sneaking into the kitchen together because food always makes everything better. And Luca always has the largest grins on those escapades. Ranzal/Luca
Notes: This was originally titled "Cheer Up" before I decided that since this was such a fluffy fic, I might as well give it a silly name, so I gave it a very light novel'ish name, ahaha. Written for [personal profile] kalloway for [community profile] parallelsfic 2019. Based off of Dragalia Life #116, the Newlywed Ninja, which can be read over here. The story also takes bits of inspiration from the Dragalia Lost castle stories, That Special Day Part One, Two, and Three, but the gist is that a bunch of them are preparing for three fake weddings in a wedding battle to see which wedding is better.

Whoops, this fic took me way too long (though that' s on par for the course). I started this when the second season just started airing, and now it's already over. XD;;

Title: Five Times Hanae Called Abeno "Abeno-san" and One Time He Didn't
Fandom: Fukigen na Mononokean (The Morose Mononokean)
Words: 5,566
Summary: Several people notice Hanae calling Abeno "Abeno-san" and wonder what's up with that.
Notes: This came about because of an omake in the manga where the teacher wonders what's going on. Loved that omake, so I expanded on it here~. I gave a five times fic a try! Think it's actually the first time I've tried this format.

So, Lugh was released in FEH, and this fic happened. Luckily, I pulled him in just two stones! \o\ Lugh was one of my ultimate favorites before Soren even existed, so I suppose Lugh could be said to predate Soren, haha. I loved the twins in FE6~. (Now, if Erk ever gets released, all of my old favorites would be in the game) I was pretty sure Soren was popular enough to show up in FEH, but Lugh? So happy that he's here now. :D Writing this fic was quite the trap, as I found myself down the rabbit hole, reading support conversation after support conversation from both FE6 and FE7. Whoops. I never really did write any fic about Lugh or Raigh in the past though, as I didn't feel I knew them well enough (there wasn't even any consistency with Raigh's name, from Lleu to Rei to Ray, and I only knew the game in Japanese), but hey, more people know about them now, and there's more for me to work with too. ;) Anyway, I finally wrote fic about the twins, whoot. (Even though a certain blond monk hijacks the fic halfway through...)

Title: A Taste of Home
Fandom: Fire Emblem Binding Blade/Fire Emblem Heroes
Words: 4,165
Summary: They were serving Lugh's favorite food again—baked tarts. He couldn't resist grabbing some to share with others. It was a taste of home he hadn't thought he would find here, an entire world away from all that he knew. But here, Lugh was sure he would find his wayward brother, which he does, and he even finds someone else he hadn't thought he would ever meet again—Father.
Notes: background Raven/Lucius

In celebration of both Ike and Soren receiving alts (Valentine's ones, no less), fic happened! \o\ Especially because I finally managed to pull both of them, despite starting with no orbs.

Title: Basket of Irises
Fandom: Fire Emblem Path of Radiance/Fire Emblem Heroes
Words: 1,422
Summary: A quiet moment after the festival, a basket of irises that love a tactician's hair too much, an end to a long day. Ike is weary, but Soren is there.
Notes: The Greil's Devoted paralogue chapters made me feel so much. :')

Look what showed up more than three years after Part 1? :'D I was revising a DE chapter for PR! and felt in the mood to tidy up Part 2 of this fic.

Title: Dàgē's Illegitimate Child Part 2
Fandom: Dominion's End
Words: 1,370
Summary: When Shuyu finally reunites with his family, he is accompanied by a new member—Jiang Xiaotian. AU.
Notes: This was the scene that made me want to write the story in the first place. :'D

Hey, I wrote FEH fic~. I've entertained writing about Soren (and various events he shows up in, like the hair gauntlet) but the timing has already passed for each, so that never happened. Timely writing, what's that? But hey look, a different FEH fic happened, the last fic I finished in 2018.

Title: The Narrow View Through the Mask
Fandom: Fire Emblem Heroes
Words: 2,530
Summary: Alfonse runs across Bruno, but it's not the Bruno he knows.
Notes: A treat for zynnser for [community profile] yuletide 2018, who requested Alfonse meeting Brave Veronica's brother. I also had fun having Alfonse wear Bruno's mask, just like what I have him doing in game. 8D

I reread all of World Trigger from the beginning and finished watching the last part of the anime in my canon review. Have to say I still adore the series a lot, and I'm glad it's back from hiatus! Wishing the mangaka the best of health.

Title: Doorway
Fandom: World Trigger
Words: 3,511
Summary: Everyone thinks Arashiyama Jun has a dog. But he doesn't. Not really.
Notes: Written for Puimoo for [community profile] yuletide 2018. Tachikawa/Arashiyama. Petshop of Horrors!AU, but explained using World Trigger terms. Contains self harm typical of Petshop of Horrors for contract violation.

Title: New Horizons -That Lollipop's Lingering Taste-
Fandom: The Legend of Sun Knight
Words: 6172
Summary: Grisia accepts Charlotte's lunch invitation. A certain kidnapping is avoided. Even after all these years, Charlotte hasn't ever forgotten the taste of that blueberry lollipop they shared by the fountain side. AU of V6C5.
Notes: For the [community profile] whole_new_world Alternate Reality/Changing Canon prompt "Alternate Showdown." Prompt table over here. This was actually the first of the New Horizons AU oneshots I started, even before That Day Back Then, but it sure took me a long time to finish. :') This story is basically an imagining of what a lunch between Grisia and Charlotte might've gone if he had actually accepted the invitation.

I have returned with the extras to wrap this story up~

Title: New Horizons -That Which Was Lost- Extras
Fandom: The Legend of Sun Knight
Words: 1,815
Summary: After Grisia was lost with only the Divine Sun Sword left behind, he was never found. Until Lesus comes across an "amnesic" Grisia while evacuating the citizens. AU
Notes: For the [community profile] whole_new_world Alternate Reality/Changing Canon prompt "Never Found." Prompt table over here. These extras are a completely optional (rambling) addition to the story that 1) might destroy the mood, 2) are full of crack, and 3) still contain some angst. Because what is crack without angst... :'D

Yay, it's finally done~. I've been working on this for months. It just wouldn't end... :'D

Title: New Horizons -That Which Was Lost-
Fandom: The Legend of Sun Knight
Words: 5,711
Summary: After Grisia was lost with only the Divine Sun Sword left behind, he was never found. Until Lesus comes across an "amnesic" Grisia while evacuating the citizens. AU
Notes: For the [community profile] whole_new_world Alternate Reality/Changing Canon prompt "Never Found." Prompt table over here. This piece is somewhat experimental, though only on the surface, as its final form is simply another fic in which Lesus and Grisia sit around talking. So yeah. They talk. A lot. I also smush together some displaced events that kind of still happen but in a different way. Lesus/Grisia. Or very strong hints~, with a good dose of angst.

Happy New Year! Here was the fic I wrote for Yuletide. KtB~~. Haha, back in 2010, I said, "If I ever write another fic for KtB, I will so write about the twins since they're my favorite too." I wrote this story before I reread my own post back from 2010 and went, oh, hey, look, Lucathia, you really did end up writing about the twins! It's really thanks to Jan, whose prompt gave a lot of leeway and mentioned the twins and their dynamics with others. I was super amused when I got assigned Jan, as my previous and only KtB fic was also written for Jan way back in 2009 for Yuletide.

Title: His Brother and His Friend
Fandom: Kimi to Boku
Words: 4,197
Summary: Truthfully, Yuuki was never the closest with Shun. Truthfully, Yuuta wasn't quite sure of how to act around Chizuru. He was more his brother's friend than his.
Notes: Written for Jan for [community profile] yuletide 2017. An introspective piece that somehow turned 4k long, with a random Gudetama cameo. :')

Title: New Horizons -That Day Back Then-
Fandom: The Legend of Sun Knight
Words: 4,088
Summary: That day back then, Grisia goes to search for his big sister. At a pivotal moment, Grisia makes up his mind. All it took was a nervous habit. Everything changes. Alternative take on a canon event. AU
Notes: For the [community profile] whole_new_world Alternate Reality/Changing Canon prompt "Altered Past." Prompt table over here. I've always wanted to explore this scene, so here's an AU take on it.

Title: Going, Going, Gone
Fandom: The Legend of Sun Knight
Words: 1,219
Summary: A little girl bids on Grisia for a charity date auction.
Notes: I wrote a very random ficlet for the Alphabet Challenge over at [livejournal.com profile] getyourwordsout. The challenge is to write a story, scene, or poem that begins each line with every letter of the alphabet. My starting and ending letter is G. So, it goes from G->H->I->L, etc etc, until I come back to G. This is a 27 sentence ficlet. XD

Reveals happened. Here was the fic I wrote!

Title: Blood Red Dawn
Fandom: Akatsuki no Yona
Words: 3,536
Summary: When Yona relives that fateful day again and again, she chooses to flee the castle without Hak. Time travel / time loop.
Notes: written for Nerdanel for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide 2016. Posted as three chapters over at AO3 if that makes for easier reading.

Happy holidays! Wishing everyone a great end of the year. :) 2016 hasn't been a very fun year at all. Hoping I'll be able to post more next year. I have a lot of posts I've been meaning to make that are long overdue, so you'll probably be seeing them pop up over the next two weeks while I'm on vacation. Look forward to them? XD Here's a fic that's long overdue too. I began writing this little oneshot last year for Father's Day, but it just refused to get written. It finally cooperated after... I don't even know how long. At least, it's long enough that it's no longer Father's Day of the same year, haha. Merry Christmas instead? :'D

Title: Improvements Imminent
Fandom: The Legend of Sun Knight
Words: 1,894
Summary: Grisia decides it would be a good idea to cut his own hair. It's not. So Neo intervenes. But surely, he would have improved with practice.
Notes: Inspired by Ya Sha's comic companion to Unbeatable, where Neo cuts Aldrizzt's hair and mentions that he's taken care of brats for years. And so, I wanted a fic where Neo cuts Grisia's hair. :3

Title: A Poor Imitation
Fandom: The Legend of Sun Knight
Words: 5,640
Summary: Once, I had been great. A king maker. A sought after advisor. A hidden weapon. I am Dragon's Saint Brigandine. I am a shirt.
Notes: This is basically LSK from the point of view of a shirt. XD I did not think it would be 5.6k.

Title: No Sweeter Words -Re-
Fandom: The Legend of Sun Knight
Words: 2,854
Summary: Many years since Roland and Grisia sneaked out during the Sun Knight selections to buy something sweet, Roland finds himself following Grisia into the city once more. Grisia hadn't forgotten. Written for National Blueberry Pie Day!
Notes: I've been entertaining a sequel to No Sweeter Words and hoped to post it on April 28, Blueberry Pie day. Three days late (OTL), but here's the sequel to last year's blueberry pie fic.

Title: Coming Home
Fandom: The Legend of Sun Knight
Words: 4,755
Summary: Grisia finally returns home. There's a small problem though. His room was destroyed. His room! Set after the main events of V8.
Notes: I have been told by several people that I made them cry with Goodbyes and Hellos. :'D So, have this somewhat fluffier(?), post-canon fic. My cute little oneshot wanted to be over 4.7k words. I don't trust these oneshots anymore. But I still trust them more than my chaptered fics. I love completed stories~.
