SoJ case 5 )
I'm considering signing up for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide this year. I first started participating in 2006 as a pinch hitter (I believe this was the fic, and I've participated every year since then until 2013. I didn't participate in 2014 because of traveling to Japan during December, and then I skipped 2015 as well. Would be lovely to participate again (and exercise my oneshot writing muscles). :) I made a list of what I might request and offer, but I'll have to give it some more thought.

Recently, I've been playing Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice. Bought it the day after it was released. It's awesome to see all the characters again, and I love that we're getting more about Apollo. I was hoping Dual Destinies would cover his background more, but it didn't, really. SoJ seems to remedy that. Whether I'll like his new background remains to be seen, but at least we're getting it!

I wouldn't mind if Phoenix wasn't in the game, haha. Whenever I'm faced with Phoenix's sections, I find myself wanting the game to head back to Apollo. :') So, I am pleasantly surprised that Apollo does indeed have quite the focus in this game.

No matter how much he condemns himself, he can't bring himself to part with his new brother. He thinks the world of Klavier -- until he breaks the contract.
Notes: I don't recall if I had the timeline right, haha, but AAI1 comes into play here! This was all I ever got around to posting on the kink meme (oops).

Notes: These chapter divisions are pretty terrible, whoops.

Title: His Pet Brother Part 2
Fandom: Ace Attorney (AJ era with references to AAI1)
Words: 1,758
Summary: Upon his colleague's recommendation, Kristoph visits a pet shop in Chinatown to acquire a pet dog but somehow returns home with a human instead. No matter how much he condemns himself, he can't bring himself to part with his new brother. He thinks the world of Klavier -- until he breaks the contract.
Notes: Have I mentioned how much I adore brothers in fiction? Dysfunctional ones included. Or perhaps I should say, especially dysfunctional ones.

Title: His Pet Brother Part 1
Fandom: Ace Attorney (mostly AJ era with some AAI1 references)
Words: 1,230
Summary: Upon his colleague's recommendation, Kristoph visits a pet shop in Chinatown to acquire a pet dog but somehow returns home with a human instead. No matter how much he condemns himself, he can't bring himself to part with his new brother. He thinks the world of Klavier -- until he breaks the contract.
Notes: The premise is based on Pet Shop of Horrors, but PSoH only features as a cameo at the start. This was written in 2009 or so for the PW Kink Meme. Expect to see several more parts going up this week.

Title: Honest for Justice Part 1
Fandom: Ace Attorney (includes both PW and AJ eras)
Words: 2,378
Summary: Apollo meets a silver-haired man at the library. Surprisingly, they hit it off. Apollo's honest passion for justice reminds Edgeworth of a time when he and Wright were both that age. Phoenix is not entirely happy at this turn of events. (gen)
Notes: Hahaha... I wrote this in 2008... This fic finally sees the light! \o/ This was written way back for the Phoenix Wright Kink Meme. I thought I'd post this part before canon contradicts what I'd written (AA5 is in the works, yayyy). I quite liked this fic myself (in the past, at least...) because I really liked writing Apollo meeting Edgeworth!

Title: Regret
Day/Theme: 29 to keep the law and to break it seem equally terrible
Series: Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
Character/Pairing: Apollo
Rating: PG
Words: 100
Notes: for [livejournal.com profile] 31_days_exchnge.

Apollo doesn't regret punching Mr. Wright... )
...still haven't finished it. :'D I've been at this game for over a month! Right now, I don't know how far in case 4 I am...but the "system" is pretty weird. Just...what the heck is it? 0____0;

squealing and spoilers for Case 4 )
I visited the Ace Attorney official site today and read the developer's blog. Apparently, Case 2 was something the series director had always wanted to do since 10 years ago. That's almost unbelievable considering the kind of witness we got! I thought he was the typical nerdy student taken to an extreme...who knew he was in the works for so long. Heh, the blog also detailed how they chose the voice actors. Veeery interesting that they made everyone do all the characters and didn't even tell the voice actors which ones of their samples would get used.

Hahaha, and being able to yell "OBJECTION" into the mic was an addition because the American release team wanted it! Does anyone play that way? I can't get myself to yell that into the mic.

Moving on to AJ Case 3. Hm, I felt even more acutely in this case that it was weird not being able to present people's profiles. It doesn't make sense not being able to ask people what they think of so-and-so. DX

more on case 3. (spoilerish of course) )
First, thank you [livejournal.com profile] yoshikochan for the card. I got it safely last week. I'm sorry for not speaking up about it earlier! *flails* Dairantou Smash Brothers X and Apollo Justice both sucked me right in. =X Thank you so much for the lovely drawing of Kurama (that cake he's holding looks yummy!). I hope you had a wonderful time on the 29th this leap year. ♥

Fufufu, I finally finished Case 2 of Apollo Justice and now I really adore Apollo. (Hahaha, everyone else seems to have finished the game already!? How are people so fast with this?!) I've been playing this game slowly just like all the previous games. I play a bit before bed, all huddled comfortably in my blankets. Sometimes I only get through a few lines before getting sleepy...I love it that I can save anywhere.

I'm starting to really like this game! More on the second case. Lots of spoilers. )

Now onto case three. Even though I have tons of stuff due next week. ad;lfjk;
[livejournal.com profile] distutansu, I got your letter~! ♥ Thanks for the long letter and the drawing and the in character note is just so sweet. <3
-----

I bought Apollo Justice on Wednesday but didn't have a chance to start until now. I've played that interactive flash demo of part of the first case before and wasn't all that interested in it then...but now I reaaaaally want to know what happened to Phoenix. >_>

On Apollo as the main character. Apollo's cute when he's thinking hard. He pushes his finger against his forehead and thinks HARD. XD Apollo's first case though...totally not run by him. And uh, his power to "perceive" is really weird. I'm not used to seeing "Justice" and thinking, oh yeah, that's the character I'm playing as. What a name.

Random quote!
"...the Cool Defense of the West..."

That totally reminds me of Detective Conan. Just swap the "Defense" out of that and replace with "detective" and viola!
