I visited the Ace Attorney official site today and read the developer's blog. Apparently, Case 2 was something the series director had always wanted to do since 10 years ago. That's almost unbelievable considering the kind of witness we got! I thought he was the typical nerdy student taken to an extreme...who knew he was in the works for so long. Heh, the blog also detailed how they chose the voice actors. Veeery interesting that they made everyone do all the characters and didn't even tell the voice actors which ones of their samples would get used.

Hahaha, and being able to yell "OBJECTION" into the mic was an addition because the American release team wanted it! Does anyone play that way? I can't get myself to yell that into the mic.

Moving on to AJ Case 3. Hm, I felt even more acutely in this case that it was weird not being able to present people's profiles. It doesn't make sense not being able to ask people what they think of so-and-so. DX

Some thoughts on the case:

Ahahaha, we're going to a rock concert~! There's 3D animation and everything...though watching Lamirior and Klavier on stage was kind of boring. D: And it was even more horrible when I had to keep going back to that concert video as evidence.

But anyway, first thought when Apollo and Ema heard the shooting?

Detective Conan! Seriously Apollo, don't turn into Conan and meet dead bodies everywhere you go. You and Phoenix can't seem to go to any events without a case finding you.

Haha, even after finding a dead body, Klavier's more irritated at his misfortunes of the day. Irritated!Klavier is so irresistible. XD; Not so benevolent, are you? I found Klavier's bgm when you're talking to him a little annoying though. So...loud. But I got used to it by the end of the case. Guh, this case required me to listen to a lot of music pieces, first with Klavier's picky 'someone missed the cue' rant and later with Machi's piano playing. Seriously, I can't tell the difference. I'm so tune deaf. The only thing I got was the gunshot one because hello, big bang during the singing in the second verse. They even tell you that it should be around when Lamiroir's singing "Pleasure..."

Apollo's perceive ability was a little more challenging in this one. It took me awhile to figure out that Lamiroir's mouth opened less wide when she's hiding something. Haha, I thought I was just seeing things there. 8D Machi's was easy for me to notice. Why didn't we get to use that on Daryan? D: I want to see his nervous habit!

I'm somewhat surprised that throughout the case, Lamiroir was always "good." So many witnesses turn out to be the real culprit after all. But she...even Klavier always stood up for her. I do wonder what was in her past though.

The case...not as exciting as the last one. For me, the most unexpected event was finding out about Lamiroir's blindness. After that reveal, I was very skeptical that Machi didn't know any English, so it wasn't surprising when we found out he did know some English. It was a bit crazy that Lamiroir "witnessed" the crime up in the air vent (haha, 'little window') and that she was singing while she heard the shooting. This game sure has some bizarre scenarios. XD

Daryan, Daryan. Did he do all that just for money? Did that warrant killing off LeTouse? T___T; Still didn't find out way Machi needed so much money...I thought it might be for Lamiroir, but it didn't really seem like that either.

For a third case, this was wasn't all that complicated...just that people wouldn't talk. (I mean, Machi basically knew everything from the start.) Only three people were involved outside of the investigators, and the places we could visit were pretty limited. The concert area only had the two dressing rooms, the hallway, and the stage. Oh, and outside the coliseum too, though not much happened there. We did get to see Klavier's office, which is surprisingly messy. 8D And has um, a massage chair as his only work chair.

Klavier is so helpful in the case. Quite forthcoming with a lot of information, though he does keep a lot to himself too. Does he know everything or what?? Every time Apollo finally manages to prove a point, Klavier seems to have known it from the start. Or if he didn't, he immediately catches on to Apollo's train of thought. He's quite different from all the previous prosecutors in his helpfulness. I wonder if there's something to it or if it's really just because he's more interested in finding the truth than anything else. He points out Apollo's mistakes or lapses, but he doesn't seem to do it to dishearten Apollo. He's doing it to push Apollo the right direction. Hah, I bet he has an ulterior motive.

About the law system. Apollo didn't have decisive evidence??? Because Lamiroir didn't actually 'see' the crime or what? Because really, I though Apollo's case was pretty solid. Or at least as solid as any of Phoenix's were. I mean, Phoenix even had a parrot testifying for him!! It was pretty annoying to have "where's the decisive evidence?" thrown at me after every few sentences. D:

Overall, the case was okay. Not too exciting though I did squee over Klavier a lot. I got really tired of watching the concert over and over again since I didn't find that very exciting in the first place. The touch screen didn't get utilized much still...just got to examine the blood on the ground. Kind of pointless. Phoenix showed up a bit at the end and is on a secret mission. Seriously, Phoenix's all mysterious now. What a drastic change when it used to almost always be him who was in the dark!
