Um wow, this post has just turned into a monster. =___= This is what happens when I haven't written a round-up for the longest time. XD;

Now that the spring anime season has started, here's my round-up for stuff I finished watching before the new season. Though some shows aren't even from the winter or fall seasons, haha. I planned on following a few more series but never did. I've been pretty lax with writing my impressions... This was last season's. This season, I basically only finished series I was already watching from the fall season!

recently ended: Ginga e Kickoff, Bakuman season 3, Zetsuen no Tempest, Senyuu )

older series: Ano Hana, Toradora, Wagaya no Oinari-sama )

still following: Uchuu Kyoudai, Chihayafuru season 2 )

behind on: Kotoura-san, Magi, Maoyuu, Tamako Market )

spring season: OreImo, Hataraku Maou-sama, Karneval, Arata Kangatari )
Flipping through my PairPuri volume 2 and was surprised when I came upon Okiayu Ryoutarou's signature on his picture. (There's an interview between him and Hosoya included since he voices Tezuka and Hosoya voices Shiraishi). I forgot I asked him to sign it. XD;; Goodness, how bad can my memory be.. OTL.

What did I have Kiuchi Hidenobu sign... Oh right, PairPuri 3. XD; Since he voices Oshitari. His signature said "To Lucathia-san." The "a" in Lucathia almost ran into Fukuyama Jun's face. XDDD (Fukuyama Jun voices Kenya).

a grammar question if anyone can answer this or wants to discuss this! )
Ryoma (Minagawa Junko) and Kite (Shingaki Tarusuke) are the personalities this month. MinaJun is sure very carefree in these. Last month's personalities were Yukimura (Nagai Sachiko) and Kaidou (Kiyasu Kouhei), who seem to be very good friends. Because of the earthquake, the contents of the show for March were probably changed. They broadcasted a series of uplifting songs. The songs made me tear up a bit.

This month though... MinaJun is very silly. Rajipuri 418's guest is Kawamura (Kawamoto Naru), who tried imitating Mizuki at one point and said he failed imitating "Ishida", who's Mizuki's seiyuu. (The other two then implied, you should have said you failed imitating "Mizuki", not "Ishida"!) But I guess Ishida Akira's voice is very... Ishida Akira.

This week's dream match - Echizen Ryoma versus Kawamura Takashi in... English! Pfffft. Okay, even though Ryoma's English is supposedly very good, his seiyuu is not so good at it. XD; And Kawamura... well, he only spouts "Engrish". =P

Okiayu and Taitem also walk in halfway (it was like, what?? XDDD). They are sure carefree in this...

transcript for the Dream Match corner. it's hilarious! )

Rebocon

I've been watching bits and parts of Rebocon. First was Rebocon in Taiwan, then bits and pieces of Rebocon Red and Rebocon Blue, and then Rebocon 2010 in Tokyo. I wish I could find earlier Rebocon shows too. :3

Rebocon Red: KENN <333333 Cannot wait to see the full length of this show. I want to see more of KENN. XD;
Rebocon Blue: Ah! Kato Kazuki!! Mmm, I really like his rendition of Mukuro's song. He makes it sound a bit cooler. XD (I always thought this song was too upbeat for Mukuro...)

Rebocon in Taiwan wasn't as fun to watch as the others (it felt like a more simplified show), but the last song they sang amused me greatly. XD They all tried singing in Mandarin! I thought Kiuchi Hidenobu's pronunciation was pretty good. The non-present singers with their pre-recorded parts all had better pronunciation. XD; If not for the subtitles, I don't think I would be able to understand what they were singing. XD This was a lot of fun to listen to though~

Kiuchi Hidenobu seems to be in charge a lot for these shows. (I thought Tsuna's seiyuu would speak more as the main character, but she doesn't speak that much?). Also, this was the first time I've seen Gokudera's seiyuu Ichinose Hidekazu, but eeeee, he looks so cool! I love his hairstyle! I always found Lambo's voice kind of annoying, but seeing Takeuchi Junko perform is just, wow~.

A dating game after my heart. XD; I had no idea what this game was, but the synopsis mentioned the protagonist (female) going undercover at an all boy's high school to slay demons. Then I saw that one of the characters is voiced by Taniyama Kishou. Genderbending in a dating sim + one of my favorite seiyuu (singing the opening no less)? That immediately made me buy the game, haha. XD

The game's not very complicated (you're not given that many choices...), but each path is fairly different. I only played through one so far (not Taniyama's character, who is a surprisingly energetic "buzz cut" character). I like that the protagonist is fairly strong, and she doesn't get discovered very easily, at least not in the path I chose. XD I hope it's not just because I chose the shortest guy, hahaha. I'm terrible with playing through more than one path, but the others intrigue me too~

Y-Con!

I only went for a day and didn't take any pictures of cosplayers. This was one of my shortest cons, haha, and I did feel a bit weird not cosplaying. The location was quite pretty though with lots of indoor plants and streaming sunlight, and food was convenient too. A good location, I thought. :) Most of my pictures were just of the hotel itself. I basically just went to Takanaga Hinako's panel, Okiayu Ryoutarou and Kiuchi Hidenobu's panel, and Okiayu and Kiuchi's signing session. After that, I wandered around a bit to see what the Fan Market and Dealers Room were like before going to see the Masquerade. Thankfully I got to tag along with [livejournal.com profile] jen_kat for most of the day, or else I'd have gotten bored. XD I think I caught a glimpse of [livejournal.com profile] kaleidoscopic27 while in line for autographs (you were cosplaying Souichi, right?), but you walked out of the autograph place too quickly for me to call out to you. ): Darn, missed chance!

Masquerade and stuff I bought )

All in all, a very quick convention for me, this was. Despite being a small con, I still didn't run into a lot of people! =/

edit: [livejournal.com profile] jen_kat has awesome pics of Okiayu and Kiuchi here! \o/
edit 2: [livejournal.com profile] velessa, who I got to meet through Jenkat, also has some awesome pics. For my future reference. XD;
Massun + Rajipuri
Massun, Niou's seiyuu in Prince of Tennis, announced on his blog that there's going to be a special Rikkai version of rajipuri on March 27 featuring Niou and Yagyuu as the personalities. I so want to hear this. *__* The second one has Yukimura and Yanagi. I listened to Massun's radio show (#4 and 5) and was very amused that he's so excited over getting mail from overseas. Makes me want to send him one too! But other than that, I don't know much about what he talks about. (What the heck is this Bokutachi no Sweet Dragon??)

Tenipuri RPG
I joined the Tenipuri RPG recently where we create our own Tenipuri team and play against each other and against teams from canon. There's a pretty intricate system in place that I'm still trying to figure out. It's pretty fascinating. XD If you've ever wanted to create your own team or original characters and moves, check it out~ (I kind of fail at thinking up moves...). Here's my team, Matatabi Gakuen, which is named after...catnip. XD; I keep wanting to say Matatabi Garden. I have 8 OCs I use for everything, but their names are completely not Japanese, so it took me some thinking to think of possible Japanese names for them. Their names now are kind of...funny still. XDD ([livejournal.com profile] rindou_yume drew me two of my OCs, Felidae and Nikaya, who are named Tora Neko and Ni Kaya respectively in the RPG. Thank you again!!)

So yeah, join! ^___^ so I can battle you! yes you!

[livejournal.com profile] twistserve_tcg
Twist Serve is nearing it's anniversary! I'm pretty excited the TCG lasted so long, and I hope it will last for much, much longer. Considering I've been a Tenipuri fan for over...7 years, I can say I'm here to stay, but it depends on everyone else's interests. ^____^ A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU (and so many of you are on my flist) who joined and flailed with me over Tenipuri and collecting decks of the series. Even those of you who have moved on already, thank you~. I wish I could plan some anniversary event, but the anniversary coincides with my job fair, so I'll be busy. ^^;; And I have no creative juices left!! Maybe after the job fair.

And if any of you are curious about what the heck Twist Serve is, let me direct you to our website :3

Email forms?
Oh, and I have been wanting to ask...does anyone know how to code forms for websites? I want a simple form that emails me what someone submits if they fill it out...but I don't even know how that works. :'D
Eyeshield 21
I watched up to 90, and every episode thereafter seems to be fillers. I wonder if the most recent episodes are still fillers. D: But anyway, spoilers of ep.80 something ) Sena's childhood friend Riku is so much the same character type as Riku from Kingdom Hearts. XD;; Both have white hair and are more the "cool" type while Sena's kind of like Sora. X3;;

Lucky Star
Watching episode one made me huuuungry. All that discussion of food. I ended up eating an ice cream cone at 3 AM. Konata is ♥. The sleepy kitten eye-catch thing that shows up in the episodes...I want an animated icon of that!! I got tided over to watching this after seeing all those parodies of the opening. XDD I think the only karaoke ending I recognized was Valentine Kiss because of Tenipuri.

Ookiku Furikabutte
*_* This series reminds me why I looove sports series. My favorite genre! I always giggle when no one can understand Mihashi's way of talking while Tajima can totally understand Mihashi just from his gestures and syllables. XD;;; cut for some random screencaps )

Over Drive
Shinozaki's kind of boring (even though he does resemble Sena...I like Sena a lot better.) I was getting bored by the first few episodes, until a certain character appeared. When I heard his voice, I immediately knew he was voiced by Taniyama Kishou. That made me like the character all the more, not to mention he's a megane character. He's so dorky too. XD;; I love the bgm that's used when he appears. XDDD The ABC's of love... *snorts* some screencaps of said character~ )

Dream Live 4
I liked that there were more rival teams this time. :D Yagyuu and Niou did the switch more than once. Hehe. I was kind of bored by the end though, and stopped watching. I might rewatch to take some caps.
-----

Oh, and I joined [livejournal.com profile] anime_lj_tcg. I'm collecting the dna deck right now, which is Niwa Daisuke's deck. :DD I barely have any cards right now.

Fufufu, my level badge. Click to go to my card post! Too bad they don't have cards of this character. I'd totally go for him. I know that [livejournal.com profile] redone and [livejournal.com profile] lysberries are playing too. Anyone else on my flist playing that I missed? X3;
I'm usually pretty bad at recognizing seiyuu, but it's sooo fun when I do recognize someone's voice.

I was just watching Busou Renkin today...it's been a while since I last watched an episode. In the episode that I was watching, Hayasaki Shuusui was narrating quite a bit and I immediately thought, "Hey, his voice sounds like Tsukimori Len's from La Corda d'Oro." So I checked animenewsnetwork, and yup, it's the same seiyuu. :D

I didn't notice it before...since, well, I didn't start watching La Corda d'Oro until after I started Busou Renkin. I've never heard any memorable roles from Kishou Taniyama until La Corda. Tsukimori's voice is just that memorable, especially with how he says "Ore ni wa kankei nai."

Busou Renkin and La Corda d'Oro are still my favorite two series from this season. They're the only two anime that I've been following faithfully. I've sort of lost interest in the rest...like Death Note and D.Gray-man. I haven't checked out a lot of other anime yet though...

The opening for Busou Renkin is much love. I always watch it without skipping it whenever I watch an episode. It's so upbeat and the images fit the music really well. Even though I already read most of the manga, I still found myself tearing up a bit at a few scenes. I'm really liking the anime so far because it's really well animated. Shuusui and Ouka's introductions were a bit sudden, in my opinion, but it still worked. So yeah, the anime's a bit fast-paced, but I guess that contributes to the action. Since this is a 26 episode anime and the manga already ended, I'm pretty sure that the anime will follow the manga closely towards the end. (Yay!!)

As for La Corda d'Oro, I watched the first episode one day when I was writing my essay...and instantly fell in love. Right after, I bought the PSP version of the game and I've started reading the manga too. So far, I'm on volume 2. :D I really love all the characters, especially Hihara. But really, all the guys are just so lovable.
Someone posted in the D.Gray-man community here about the seiyuu for the anime.

Kyaaa! KOBAYASHI SANAE (as Allen Walker, the main character, so she's going to be speaking a lot!)!! I just love her voice and am happy that she's doing another guy's voice since the last time I've heard her in that part was as Touya Akira.

I wasn't really looking forward to the anime much (since I haven't been following the manga anymore either...only read it to see how Miranda looked like so I could cosplay her), but I'll watch it if only to hear the seiyuu cast. :DD
