on seiyuu, Busou Renkin, and La Corda

I'm usually pretty bad at recognizing seiyuu, but it's sooo fun when I do recognize someone's voice.

I was just watching Busou Renkin today...it's been a while since I last watched an episode. In the episode that I was watching, Hayasaki Shuusui was narrating quite a bit and I immediately thought, "Hey, his voice sounds like Tsukimori Len's from La Corda d'Oro." So I checked animenewsnetwork, and yup, it's the same seiyuu. :D

I didn't notice it before...since, well, I didn't start watching La Corda d'Oro until after I started Busou Renkin. I've never heard any memorable roles from Kishou Taniyama until La Corda. Tsukimori's voice is just that memorable, especially with how he says "Ore ni wa kankei nai."

Busou Renkin and La Corda d'Oro are still my favorite two series from this season. They're the only two anime that I've been following faithfully. I've sort of lost interest in the rest...like Death Note and D.Gray-man. I haven't checked out a lot of other anime yet though...

The opening for Busou Renkin is much love. I always watch it without skipping it whenever I watch an episode. It's so upbeat and the images fit the music really well. Even though I already read most of the manga, I still found myself tearing up a bit at a few scenes. I'm really liking the anime so far because it's really well animated. Shuusui and Ouka's introductions were a bit sudden, in my opinion, but it still worked. So yeah, the anime's a bit fast-paced, but I guess that contributes to the action. Since this is a 26 episode anime and the manga already ended, I'm pretty sure that the anime will follow the manga closely towards the end. (Yay!!)

As for La Corda d'Oro, I watched the first episode one day when I was writing my essay...and instantly fell in love. Right after, I bought the PSP version of the game and I've started reading the manga too. So far, I'm on volume 2. :D I really love all the characters, especially Hihara. But really, all the guys are just so lovable.

Haha, even though I really like Taniyama (well, mainly for his songs), I haven't been able to regonize him in any roles I didn't already know he was voicing myself. But I kept thinking that Shuusui sounded really familiar but just couldn't place it.

BusoRen and Corda are pretty much the only two shows I'm still keeping up with too (besides Gintama, but that started a couple seasons before those).

I got a hold of some drama CDs for La Corda yesterday and listened to quite a few of his songs. X3 Fill my heart, Warrior, Hyakunen no todoku, Flame, Prelude, and Happy Time, Trio Song, Vibrato, and Overture. My computer wasn't under Japanese settings though...so all the titles and artists came out in gibberish. -_-;;

Does he have any other songs?

My favorite so far is Prelude.

He has two character songs for Kimi ga Nozomu Eien: Mikansei no Guilty and Last Smile, the ED/CW for Sukisyo:Daydreamin' and Fly Away, the opening for the two Angelique TV series, and a couple other singles out (under the unit name GRANRODEO) that I know of.

He voiced someone in Kimi ga Nozomu Eien? *blinks* I'll have to go back sometime and listen.

I don't think I've heard any of those songs. Do you have any of those that you're willing to share?

I haven't seen KimiNozo myself, but iirc he voices the main character.

I've only listened to Last Smile so far, and I'm really liking it. ♥ Hm, I've liked most of his songs so far. (New seiyuu to obsess over~)

X3 I once sorta noticed that. I noticed that the Asian Kung-Fu Generation both had songs in Naruto and it was either FMA or Bleach for the intro.

... I also think that I hear Yami's dub voice everwhere. Though, that voice actor is everywhere anyways but still...XD

I have no idea with dub voices...they pretty much sound all the same for me. Oh, but, I did recognize Kratos's dub for Tales of Symphonia. His voice actor did a role in Metal Gear Solid. ;) But...I don't think I've recognized much else.
