Anime I just recently finished watching. (Winter or not)

I actually watched quite a few series this season, and the majority of them all aired on Saturday, haha...

Not spoiler free!

winter anime: Ace of Diamond, Aldnoah Zero, Boueibu, Bonjour Sweet Love, Durarara, Magic Kaito 1412, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, Shirobako, Yowamushi Pedal )

older anime: Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince, Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis, Sword Art Online II, Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji, Hitsugi no Chaika )

still watching: Sailor Moon Crystal, World Trigger )

New season, I'm hoping to check out Arslan Senki, Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo, Ace of Diamond S2, Ore Monogatari, Yahari Ore no Seishun Rabukome wa Machigatteiru Zoku, Kyoukai no RINNE, and maybe Owari no Seraph and Plastic Memories.

I've read the manga for Yamada-kun. I'd always hoped that Yankee-kun to Megane-chan would get an anime, but the mangaka's other work being adapted is great too. It's like my other favorites all over again... I like Oresama Teacher, the mangaka's newer work, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun gets adapted. I like NG Life, the mangaka's newer work, Akatsuki no Yona gets adapted. I like Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, the mangaka's newer work, Yamada-kun gets adapted. Well, I'm glad their newer works are popular enough to get the anime treatment! ♥ I watched episode 1 of Yahari Ore... (Oregairu). Hikki's monologues are the best. I chuckled a lot through the episode. I hadn't finished S1 of Baby Steps, so no S2 for me until I do.

(Wow, looking at my previous post, I watched everything I planned on watching, and then some, except for Nanatsu no Taizai)
Durarara!!
After not following Durarara!! since the 1st episode, I gave it another watch and basically watched all the episodes that were out. XD; I should have been working on finishing my cosplay. I only have 3 days left!! I still need to organize stuff to sell too...I'll be throwing most of the Durarara!! extras I got from the G Fantasy magazines in my pile to sell at the Swap Meet for Fanime. Figured I should watch more of it before selling everything off. XD; While DRRR!! is very gripping and has some pretty fascinating storytelling, I don't have a favorite favorite character, but I'll still be anticipating how everything turns out. There are quite a few characters I'm fond of though! I should totally take out all my past issues of G Fantasy and read the DRRR!! manga from the start. XD; I think I'm only missing the first issue it started running in.

I was also very amused when all this talk about color gangs came up. [livejournal.com profile] colors_tcg wasn't inspired by that, okay? XD;

Oofuri
This season, I've been following Ookiku Furikabutte Natsu no Taikai Hen, Giant Killing, and Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Oofuri is still pretty charming. I don't remember Mihashi having such troubles with communication though, haha! I've only been screencapping Hama-chan like crazy every time he shows up. Too bad he doesn't have that much screen time.

Giant Killing
Giant Killing was surprising. XD; I've never heard of it before! I'm refraining from reading any of the manga while this is airing. But wow, two sports anime for me this season. I like Giant Killing since the main character's the coach for the soccer team instead of a player. He's also fairly hard to fathom. XD; I really think he should communicate with his team more though. I was recently reading Last Inning, a baseball manga where the main character is the coach for the team and expected to help the team win (otherwise they'll get disbanded after a year). Giant Killing reminded me of that manga!

Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
Huh, I'm liking this adaption of the manga. :3 Their green and yellow uniform stands out SO much. I didn't get the impression that their uniform was supposed to be these colors, but after looking at the color pages of the manga...wow, they really are green and yellow. But they're not such bright green and yellow in the manga. XD; Anyway, I thought the anime style looked weird at first, but now I'm liking it. I absolutely loved the short little part with "Misaki-kun". I hope the eating contest happens too. :D The anime does the SD faces pretty well!

Now that my download of Tenimyu has finished, I shall be off. |D
I bet I'll only get around to the first episodes this season again. =P

Durarara

Seems like lots of people have high expectations of this one. I've seen this mentioned in G Fantasy and liked the color scheme, but I haven't read any of the manga adaption even though I buy the magazine each month for Kimi to Boku. I like the setting in Ikebukuro. The mystery isn't very engaging yet...

Hanamaru Youchien

Gainax x Mizushima team up to produce a kindergarten anime. XD; Saw this announced at AX during the Gainax panel. I am hoping one day people will want to animate Kimi to Boku instead. I mean, the guy on the right looks enough like Kaname! I was very amused that the little girl has a hairstyle like Hikaru from Hikago. It's a slice of life show with, well, kindergarten. First episode was just intros. There really aren't that many guy teachers in kindergarten. Not even in lower elementary.

Sora no Woto

First anime for the Anime no Chikara project for creating original anime series. The backgrounds are lovely. The mood of the anime is pretty peaceful even though the girls are soldiers. The roles of the girls aren't realistic at all, but the world they live in could prove fascinating. I loved the opening in the first episode when the song played with scenes from her journey...but too bad there was an actual opening sequence for the second episode. I was less charmed by the opening with the actual opening sequence.
