Yu Wo seems to be considering possibly releasing a Neo-centric book containing short stories like When Teacher Wasn't Yet Teacher and We are Not the Dark Human Squad, plus some others focusing on his adventures and stuff that happened in the past. It would mean she'd finish writing We are Not the Dark Human Squad. But since she already has plans for August (I'm assuming she's talking about CWT), it would mean she'd have to do it for the February CWT. So, it sounds like this might be a self-published thing like Unbeatable.

I hope it happens! I want to read more about Teacher Neo~. I want more LSK side stories~. GJ, Yu Wo's Neo-loving friend who planted this idea in her head. (Now, go convince her some more!)

For those interested, a fanfic and fanart contest was recently held over at Yu Wo's forums. The submission period just ended. I haven't been checking the forums much lately... I didn't even know there was a fanfic and fanart contest! And now they've both already ended. :'D;;

Submissions were predominantly LSK, but there are some from other Yu Wo series too.

This past week, I've been reading Key of the Sunken Moon. I bought a few volumes a few years ago but didn't really read them until now. V1 was difficult for me to get into, but once I got past that, I found that I quite liked the characters and the world building. I read 11 volumes so far (the main story) and am reading the side stories now. 3 volumes worth of side stories! Shui Quan even writes a lot of AU doujinshi of her own works, but I guess those can be considered not canon. XD; She's posted the start of each one in her blog, but without acquiring the actual physical copies, I'll probably never know the endings. I read a Fan Tong x Yue Tui one she wrote... Her latest one seems to feature Fan Tong x Hui Shi, which made me wonder what was going to happen in Sunken Moon's ending to lead to that, since at the time, I'd only read 5 volumes and didn't know how Hui Shi would come into the picture.

I'll be writing a bit more about Sunken Moon some other time~. Haha, now I finally know the who's who in the Sunken Moon artbook I bought! The art for Sunken Moon is really pretty~

Yan/Yue book has been officially announced. The name of the book is 戮月牙. From the teaser posted, Bai Lian Yue seems to be the main character. The teaser happens when Bai Lian Yue is in high school. The cover is drawn by Wu Ling.

The book is much longer than I thought it'd be. It's 160 pages long~. The set comes with the novel, a 36 page comic, "I am king" decorative tape, a bag, and 3 postcards. The set will only be available at CWT while the novel will be sold online after the event.

Yu Wo's first actual BL book. XD;; But I wonder if it will mostly be unrequited love on Bai Lian Yue's part.

ETA: The comic is called "Cafe & Tea" and the cover features Ri Xiang Yan. :D The two covers match. The cover for the novel features Bai Lian Yue holding a bloody rose. Bought myself some new novels! Yu Wo is really coming out with a lot of stuff this summer. More is being released in August. I believe what's on the schedule so far is the YanxYue book (Eclipse Hunter/No Hero), a side story for Illusions-Lies-Truth (might be about the history behind Lu Yang's sword), and the new edition of GOD V3. YanxYue will be available for buying online as well, but the set (novel + art + decorative tape) will only be sold at the CWT convention. Only the novel will be sold online.

ETA: Haha, the Illusions-Lies-Truth side story just got announced! Pretty art. *___* The short story features the bookstore owner, while the comic features naming Lu Yang's sword. Includes a short story, a short comic, a notebook, an accessory, and a bag.


No Hero V9 (end!!!), LSK new edition V5, LSK manhua V5 (end as well...). I visited the LSK manhua's editor's Facebook page to see if I could find out more about the LSK manhua and what happened to it. She said that they stopped publishing the LSK manhua because the Hong Kong publisher got bought out.

Really too bad. The teaser at the end of this volume about the next arc (V5 was published in Hong Kong much earlier, so this volume was pretty much put together before they decided to stop) is really teasing us too much.

Also, Human Doll Contract manhua chapter 2 & 3 are now available on Tongli's ebook site. It'll be available for three months. Chapter 2 covers Xiao Xue Part 2 – Yu Shu, Xiao Xue Part 3 – Twins, and part of Jiang Jiang Part 1 – Those Things that Can’t be Remembered from the novel. Chapter 3 covers Jiang Jiang Part 1 – Those Things that Can’t be Remembered and part of Jiang Jiang Part 2 – Those Things that Can’t be Seen. Pacing slows down a little.

I came home to Dominion's End waiting at my door~. Finished reading it before bed. Fights after fights. Lots of characters dying, as well as a fairly major character death. D: There always was a death flag, so I'm not surprised. But I'm still sad. Narrative-wise, I'm glad there are very real consequences, and this turn of events makes a lot of sense. (But I'm still going to go off and dream of fanfic situations where the character is still alive. XDDD)


The special bundle came with a towel of the Ice Emperor. What to do with it... Hang the towel on my wall...? XD;

Still so much to do for my cosplay, ahhhh. (Now I feel like writing fic instead hahaha). At this point, my chances of finishing are growing slimmer and slimmer. :'D;;

Yu Wo just made some announcements. Lots of new stuff being released!

-Legend of Sun Knight new edition V4 (the version with J.U.'s art). You can see previews of the artwork included over at J.U.'s facebook page. Actually, the current art she's posting is for V5. XD;; She made some adjustments to the character designs, such as Blaze being taller~~.

-Legend of Sun Knight manhua v5. Ahhh, it's good finally seeing this printed. The chapters have been out... just not collected. Still no new chapters though, since last April. I think Hong Kong already had v5 for quite some time.

-No Hero v9. The last volume! The subtitle is actually not, "The End, the Beginning, Part 3." I thought that that would be the title for the volume based off of the titles of v7 and v8, since v8 and v9 basically resulted because the material for v7 couldn't all fit into a single volume. Anyway, the title looks to be 無盡日夜, which is something along the lines of "Endless Day and Night."

LSK new edition v4 and LSK manhua v5 will be released at the same time. They can be pre-ordered starting July 1 and will be released on July 14. No Hero v9 is stated as "soon to be released." There are autograph sessions for No Hero v9 on July 10 and July 18, so I assume that No Hero will be released before those dates.

Ilusions, Lies, Truth (Human Doll Contract) is getting a manhua!!!! And even better, it's going to be drawn by 1/2 Prince's artist, Cai Hong Zhong! This is super exciting ahhhh. Cai Hong Zhong's track record is very reassuring. He's awesome at finishing his series, and his action scenes are great. The only thing I'm worried about is that ILT is only three volumes long so far. Once the manhua catches up (I believe it will), what will happen then? Or maybe only the first 2 volumes will be adapted... Since the first two volumes is a completed story. Sort of. I wonder how he'll capture the creepy atmosphere. XDD

The manhua starts this month! It will be released chapter by chapter in the monthly manhua magazine, 龍少年 (Long Shaonian, Dragon Youth Comic), and when there are enough chapters, they'll be collected in volumes, much like the format 1/2 Prince was printed in. I can't wait~~. (manhua Charles ahhhh. But awww, Lu Yang isn't as much of a bishounen anymore, unlike the novel covers XDDD)

I haven't heard much news about the Kill No More manhua after V2. I wonder if it stopped being released... The adaptation was really quick paced and confusing. D: Then again, the source it's based on (the original series itself) is confusing, so... :'D;;

The Legend of Sun Knight manhua is still on hiatus... Sadness! The drafts that Neko Kreuz had been posting looked awesome. Awaitsun, Ann, Austin... I hope we'll see you in manhua form someday.

Also, Yu Wo says that No Hero V9 will be released in July.

ETA: Nominations for parallelsfic have opened and will end on June 15th. This is a rare fanwork exchange for Asian fandoms~. If I have time later, I'll probably nominate some of Yu Wo's works. Don't know if I'll sign up this year, considering my current dismal word count for the year. My writing and I aren't on speaking terms. :3;;

So, after my previous post, I ended up with a fever for four days straight. Fun, fun... Thankfully, that's over with now!

Got me some cute LSK charms. 8D They can be hung through the earphone jack. I also bought a bunch of other miscellaneous stuff that I haven't had time to go through yet, including Unbeatable, Magical Exchange (it turned out to be mostly Romance RPG contained within), Eclipse Hunter, some LSK doujinshi, and the 1/2 Prince artbook that features art from the pocket edition. I think I'll have to spend several days organizing all this... First up, the cute charms~~.


I bought the whole set. XD; Drawn by J.U., from before she became the official artist for 39 LSK, I believe! But these have resurfaced because she has someone selling them in Hong Kong. Most other charms I see around aren't being sold anymore. I'm super happy to have some cute LSK charms~~. I'm hanging Grisia on my phone now, but I hope I don't end up breaking him... We'll see how long he lives.

(I'm really amazed at how many different designs J.U. draws for her conventions. She does it for so many new series each time she gets into something new!)

J.U. plurked her designs for the 39th Moon Knight. At least, I think he's the Moon Knight, since he uses a whip.

My first thought upon seeing his design was that he looks a lot like Fushimi from K Project. Those glasses. And that slight hair flip (also parted). And that look with him looking down at you. (J.U. did draw a lot of K Project fanart at one point too). I think he's supposed to have a monocle?

I watched the video interview with Yu Wo. It was pretty fun! Some highlights: when asked which character Yu Wo likes best from Legend of Sun Knight, her answer is always Lesus. He's the ideal man. But she separates characters into "the ideal type" and the type she finds easiest to write. Her favorite to write is Grisia because of all his digs at people. |D;; She wishes she can write until she's 100 years old. She started publishing her work during college. What happened was that she was posting her work online; a lot of those sites are actually run by publishers, so the publisher contacted her. Somehow, she ended up as a professional writer. She used to publish one novel per month, but back then, the novels were a little shorter, and the reason why they were published at such a fast rate was because the novels were for the rental book market. To keep readers' attention while renting books, they keep trying to come out with new material.

(I really can't imagine publishing one novel per month...!) Yu Wo says she started writing Illusions-Lies-Truth (Human Doll Contract) because she collects a lot of ball-jointed dolls and likes imagining them come to life. (I would be scared. XD;;; Dolls are scary...)

Posted Dominion's End V1C2 over at Prince Revolution! DE is such a thriller, I wish we could post more chapters already to truly let the series shine~~. The next few chapters are all really awesome. Jiang Shuyu (Guan Weijun?) has quite a cynical streak, yet she still manages to stay kind. Her fierce protectiveness is much love, and her funny monologues will come once she's more settled down. XD She can be pretty shameless.

Yu Wo's forums got an upgrade! I love it! It seems much more streamlined, and it works really well with mobile now. Except... the sad thing is, all of the author comments have disappeared... DDD: All those years of author comments! But other than that, I'm really liking the upgrade. There's always been this system of leveling up depending on how much you reply and post. The levels seem to be something like holy-knight-in-training -> holy knight -> ?? -> ??. With vice-captain being there somewhere. I don't know which level is where, since I'm at the lowest level. XD;; I've been commenting more though, and I even made my first post, so maybe one day I'll become a holy knight??? (I want to be a vice-captain!!) Hopefully before the titles are changed, if they're ever changed. (Please don't change them anytime soon, ahhhhh I love the current titles! But I have a feeling they could be changed to something from Dominion's End)

I translated the prologue of A Vice-Captain's Tale into Chinese! This will be good Chinese practice. I hope I made sense, ahahaha, and don't have too many wrong words... (I can't really tell, OTL, how do I Chinese???) I was able to translate a little more while being stuck in jury duty today. :'D;;;

January is over. 0___0;; I haven't been able to write anything lately! Writing muse, please speak to me. I only posted one fic update in January. ): I'm entertaining an idea for an Akatsuki no Yona fic, but I don't have a very good handle on the characters and the world. I've only written LSK for such a long time, ahaha~~. Tried writing A Vice-Captain's Tale Suggestion #8. Stuck at 900 words... Hm, with the next scheduled chapter of LSK v8 over at Prince Revolution, maybe I can finally write Never to Kneel. =x Welp, in the meantime, I guess I'll just keep opening my various documents to see if any of my fics will speak to me~~. They're being so stubborn!

February means a new release of Illusions, Lies, Truth! :D Volume 3, "In the Name of God, Part One" is being released on February 25. The limited edition can be ordered starting February 11 and the regular edition on February 16. The special edition includes this pouch thing. Looks like it can hold pens. There's also another edition that includes an autograph board, but that's only useful for people in Taiwan. The character on the cover this time is Guan Ting! *____* He has black wings??? I wonder if that's hinting at anything. I hope he has a large part this time. :D
