Isn't Fuse just *hot* in this? XD;; I mean, Fuse in street clothing!!!  I'm seriously lacking love from Dear Boys fandom. It really is nonexistant, isn't it? No fanworks, no fansites, nada!! Shoot, I want Fuse x Touya doujinshi!! Gah!!! Ever since I read the latest 2 volumes, it made me want to reread the series so I've started back at volume 1 of act II all over again. This is my nth time rereading the series. Really.

Oo, you're a Dear Boys fan too? Act II is so much love!! The drawings are so much nicer. And all the boys look soo hot. I'm so loving Ayumi Fuse in Act II, though he didn't look so great in Act I. If you haven't read Act II, you should! :D Fuse reminds me a bit of Hiyoshi from tenipuri

I've never heard of this series but it looks hot. What's it about? ::curious::

Hehe, like the picture, it's about basketball. High school basketball. :) (these two aren't the main characters though)

Basically, the main character Aikawa is the strongest player in high school basketball, but he can't stand playing at Tendouji (the elite sports school that only aims to win) so he transfers to a school with a basketball team that has been suspended (and only has four players). He manages to get the team back together, though they sorely lack a sixth person.

What I like most about the series is that it follows these characters through their second year and into their third, so we actually get to see new club members that join! The mangaka also focuses on the rival teams quite a bit. :)

The manga is in Act II in the moment. The art in Act II is really pretty, a big jump from the art in Act I. The mangaka's really slow though...only comes out with a volume ever half a year a so. So yeah. This series has been going on forever.

There's an anime as well...but the animation is kind of lacking. And, it only follows through with Act I.

Isn't Aikawa's seiyuu Kaidoh's seiyuu? XD;; I do remember being surprised at that though because it's an entirely different range of voice!

The animation quality of the anime was so bad though. D= The beginning was okay...but near the end, especially with Shonan...so disappointing.

I'd recommend people to read the manga, but I don't think the manga's been scanlated. D= I do have Chinese scans though, of Act I. Haven't found any for Act II yet.

The anime kind of screws up a lot of stuff at the end, so I wouldn't really recommend it anyway. D=

I'm not much of a manga-on-the-computer person either. D= Except...I have a bit TOO much manga, so my room's getting kind of crowded. But recently, I've lost my source of buying manga (I usually ask relatives from Taiwan to bring manga when they visit) so I'm out of new manga. Woe. Have to rely on scans now.

I do enjoy reading one volume of manga every night before I sleep though, so I've been rereading a lot of my manga since I don't have any new ones! x3

Hm, I don't know if Dear Boys would ever be translated into English. D= I hope so!

I only watched the anime....XD;;; I was hype about it for that period of time..but now I totally don't remember anything about it beside that its not as dragged out as Tenipuri XD;;

The anime had such bad quality near the end though! Act II of the manga is reaaally pretty compared to all the rest.

There was this one time that I had just finished reading a volume of Dear Boys and I tried to read some Tenipuri. I couldn't get into Tenipuri at all at that moment because it's so much less detailed than Dear Boys.

But it's sad. Dear Boys has no fandom at all. ):
