Natsume Yuujinchou San
I have fallen so behind with anime watching that I haven't been watching anything lately. I've tried to keep up with Natsume, but I fell behind with that too! I played catch up this week though, and now I'm just two episodes behind. The episodes quite relax me.


Matobe Matoba! Voiced by Suwabe Junichi, who voices Atobe from Prince of Tennis. Because of this, I keep typing Matoba's name as Matobe, haha... this is the Atobe syndrome. I read a little of the manga but didn't keep up with it. Nice to see this arc animated!


School festival episode. :D When Taki showed up here, I went, wait, is her hair shorter than usual... oh right! It's for her crossdressing cafe! I really like the look. ;)

The World God Only Knows OVA
A one episode OVA came out for Kami Nomi! Was great seeing Keima in action again, though this episode was merely a bridge to something more. It sure hints at a lot of things though.

How was he able to write so much in such a short time... I was amused that he included phrases like "World God Only Knows", though all that flashed by really quickly.

The ending sequence was quite pretty!

But most of all, I just liked the ending for Yui. YUI! *am so hoping for a 3rd season*

This episode seems like an episode where nothing of importance happened, but it does drop hints. I just hope there'll be a third season so that we'll actually get into the later plot!

New games announced!
So recently, I've heard that Fire Emblem is coming out with a new game on the 3DS (now I really need to get a 3DS sometime, huh? Especially since it now seems very likely that the Professor Layton vs Gyakuten Saiban game is going to be released in English too. But 3D is lost on me since I like it best when I turn the 3D all the way down).

Just yesterday, there was also news that there'll be a new Suikoden game on the PSP. This made me very happy since I heard that the Suikoden team had been disbanded. While this isn't a continuation of the main storyline, I'm just happy that the series is continuing. I enjoyed Tierkreis. Hopefully I'll enjoy the new game too.

Hehe, I can see Niou as a juggler. It would be a particularly interesting skill for him to have in your PoT/FE verse. Hm, yeah, I don't think he'd have time to shoot his bow if he were the one to throw the apple (which is why I'd be super impressed if he managed it!) but if Yagyuu throws it for him, that'd be plenty awesome too. :D

Haha! That mango story just amuses me so much. Guess it stuck for Sanada? So he was eating mangoes the entire time and enjoying it so much that he couldn't speak... XD

Ahh, study abroad. What a great opportunity! I didn't manage to fit that into my schedule in college. Wow, it would be pretty amazing if you could teach band in Japan. :) If I ever went overseas to teach, it would probably be teaching English since I don't exactly have a specialized field. My credential is Elementary Education (And I have a masters in curriculum and instruction). I'm not sure if that translates to anything outside of the US.

Oh gosh, I need to translate more! Both to practice my Japanese, and to not let the translations pile up since Tenipuri seems to be getting active again. So much new stuff!

Ahh, so you have dial-up currently. No wonder you said you need to wait for wi-fi for Natsume. :)

I'll let you know if I ever come across that Tenipuri/Kuroshitsuji MAD again! Just checked my favorites list on niconico and don't have it saved there, darn.

Sanada finally not calling him Lord Yukimura? Much awesomeness! (But I was just getting used to Yukimura having the awesome Lord title!) Oh wait, there are still another handful of chapters to go before that scene, huh? XD

Nice that you have something on the side too you're looking into~. Substituting's not bad (less pressure for sure) but it's a little unstable, and I so want my own classroom. I also don't want my credential to expire (it expires in five years, it's already been two since I applied for it while I was still finishing my master's). What did you register to substitute for? Is it subject specific?

Ah, I doubt I'll be moving east. I'm considering perhaps moving around my own state (California) if necessary, or perhaps going overseas for a year and then deciding after that... but it would be great if we could meet at a convention. ;)

I think you'd pull off a great Sanada. Oh gosh, playing matches in cosplay would be quite awesome. I've always wanted to take photos on the tennis courts in cosplay! XD There's me as Kirihara. XD; I only managed a few quick pics on the court back then and didn't get to play any tennis. I felt quite silly.

Formal wear~. They look so great on anime characters. XD;

I have no idea why I didn't cosplay Yagyuu. I think Kirihara just called me more. XD; That, and I felt I could more reasonably cosplay him than Yagyuu. I would make a very short Yagyuu, though I'm also too short for Kirihara, haha. I was perhaps much too polite to channel Kirihara though!

Oh, my LSK fic on your reading list? Awesome! *___* So happy to hear this. :D It's not very heavily suspenseful at all despite the summary (or maybe that's just me...), since for a portion, I parallel the actual story quite a lot, and as readers, we know more than the characters at some point. XD; But I've reached the point where my story diverges from canon more, so now it's more new material! ;) I'm having a lot of fun writing this. I don't remember if I directed you to LSK already or not since I've been recommending it to people, but novel translations can be found here and manhua translations here. :) I'm helping with translating the novel from Chinese to English too~.

You have just spurred me to write more. (especially with my other, neglected projects...)

The brown haired guy is the Earth Knight who specializes in defensive abilities. :D They're generally called by their position, so the Earth Knight is just called Earth.

Niou would have all of the skills that I would consider to be too random for the others to possess :P And if Yagyuu is indeed the one throwing the fruit (all of a sudden, I am reminded of Fruit Ninja), he would probably scold Niou for wasting food. Although Niou would say "I'm helping my mother slice them in half" XD

Yup - the mango eating was my explanation for his lack of talking. But really it was because several of the quotes they were poking fun of at the time, he wouldn't be able to say anything because they may have been a bit too.... affectionate for him. *doesn't remember correctly* Sanada also is my ultimate rice eater (because of Kane-chan). I wonder if I used any other small -isms for my characters throughout my stories? I usually put them in there for fun for my avid readers to catch haha.

It would be totally awesome to teach band in Japan! But I wasn't exposed to the epicness that is there music programs until I was in college, and by then, I had very strong reasons to want to teach in Michigan (we also have pretty strong band programs and I've met many of the band directors on the middle-west side of the state).

My state was looking for a 1st grade Japanese teacher and a 1st grade English teacher at that same Japanese school. I just thought "Well, darn, I'm not certified to do any of that lol". But I'm kind of a failboat of elementary education lol. I applaud you for having a desire to teach younger kids!! :D

Don't overwork yourself w/ translations! << Speaking of which, there was a picture of some Rikkai member (Yukimura? Sanada?) in formal attire that I wanted to see from a previous post. Now I don't remember exactly what it was so I'm going to have to check...

The non-joy of graduating college is being stuck at home with dial-up haha. At least there's like three wireless spots nearby I can haul my laptop to. Pity they're not open late enough to watch Giri Gir Morning live :(

Many many many chapters before that scene. And he'll still call him that in public anyway. But we shall all hail Lord Yukimura forever!!! XD I also like it when they say Captain Yagyuu, Sage Yanagi, and General/Commander Sanada. The aura of power!!!

I want my own classroom too :( I don't mind substituting (did it in May), but yeah... stability is good. I think mine expires in seven years (since I just got it this year). Sub teaching is not subject specific here... You can register for up to 10 districts and then you check the website and hope you're lucky enough to take a pick at an assignment. If teachers suddenly call in in the morning, then the phone system will call you, explain to you the assignment, and ask if you want to accept. I tended to be fairly lucky - was able to keep picking MS/HS Math and Science classes since I'm very good with those subjects.

Awwww.... You look fantastic as Kirihara! Lots of BA for sure. And took a quick look at some of your other cosplays.... SOREN OMFG. The costume was well-made and it suited you quite well! I feel like if I went FE cosplaying, I'd be Seth. Because Seth is love. And extremely extremely attractive to me Although, I'd totally be into Soren the more complicated outfit.

I'm definitely too short to be Sanada, but oh well lol. I'll still Tarundoru as well as he can. XD My personality is a fusion of Sanada intensity/perfectionist + Yagyuu seriousness/politeness + Yanagi witticism + Atobe's confidence. Or, at least, that's how I can sum it up best

Just hopped onto the characters page of the first link and I deem Earth to be my favorite for both personality and looks. The Judgement Knight also seems like he would become one of my favorite characters. And possibly the Moon Knight and Leaf Knight.

How did the rice thing come about for Kane anyway? I've seen some parodies on nico nico about that, but I didn't understand it very well. :3 (also, do you know why he's called Mr. Tenimyu...?) How fun to have personal headcanon across your fics! :D

I would love to experience teaching overseas, but I'm not very exploratory and don't think I'd want to do it on a long-term basis. Something short might be worth looking into though for me. :)

My interest is in second language learning actually, which I get to sort-of teach since the student population in my area is predominantly made up of second language learners. I wonder sometimes if I should have tried entirely for something second language focused. Teaching younger kids is such a daunting task at times! But I like teaching younger kids more than the middle school range, which I don't have too much experience with (but I did substitute a few times with middle school too). I've never tried high school before. I wonder what that'd be like! Sometimes I feel like I'm still a high schooler myself.

Yukimura and Sanada in formal attire... I can't quite recall where that was from! I have some new Prince of Tennis kanzenban volumes I plan on scanning though, and they have lots of Hyoutei goodiness. ;)

Ahh, dial-up. I haven't used dial-up in so long, I'm not sure I can imagine the speed of dial-up...

Oh, seven years. That's a good amount of time, but hopefully you won't need to have any fear of expiring credentials. :) Your substituting system sounds like mine! I'm not in the high school districts (only doing elementary/middle school). For middle school, I've only substituted mostly English (but somehow English teachers always have a few Social Studies periods they teach too).

Anime Expo 2013, whoot! I doubt I'd have a Tenipuri cosplay (My Rikkai jacket isn't in very good shape anymore, and I never did make their long pants or short sleeves jersey!). I always had to wear my jacket zipped up, and I always had to wear just the shorts. XD; But let's definitely meet up if we both end up going! \o/

I see you found my Soren pics! XD; I loved cosplaying Soren so much. Soren's was my first outfit I made completely by scratch on my own, and trying to channel Soren was a lot of fun. <3 I met some Fire Emblem cosplayers that year. Mostly Ikes, and chatted a while with an Elincia. Seth would require you to make armor. :3 I haven't figured out how to make armor yet! Mages have it easier since it's just flowy material, hehe.

Hey, if you can pull off his personality well, you'll be an awesome Sanada. ;) (Now, if you're a Sanada who sometimes does imitations of Yanagi or Yagyuu or Atobe, I'll giggle like mad).

Bittersweet Sweetness is fairly different from my usual writing... since it's all in 1st person! I hope it doesn't disappoint for whenever you get around to it. ;)

I'm currently pretty obsessed with Legend of the Sun Knight, so I am not-so-secretly hoping I'll manage to get you interested in it. XD;

Judgment Knight is awesome! I think he might be someone you'd like. (His clothing and haircut also reminded me a lot of Soren! His personality doesn't though, haha).

Rice is Kane's favorite food (he says this in a short promo video for Ab. King 1st). And in one of the Ab. King pamphlets, Kane mentioned that he wanted to have Ouji eat a whole ton of rice (and stack the bowls up on the table like a mountain) And he it is noted that whenever he goes out to any place with rice, he'll go crazy and keep asking for refills. The rice thing shows up in that nursery movie w/ KenKen (Shinjuku) when he's cooking and takes a large, deep breath of the smell of rice cooking haha.

He's called Mr. Tenimyu because he's been in more productions than anybody else (Aiba comes pretty close though, but there has been more than one Fuji). There has been no other Sanada because he IS Sanada XD And possibly because he's older than almost all of them (especially around Final Match, which I believe was when that term came into existence, but not used on stage until DL7th). Some of the Giri Giri Mornings, they poke fun by calling him Otou-san. But not a show goes by without either him or somebody saying 'Tarundoru'!

I'm the same way about the exploratory thing! I think I just like sticking to what is familiar, but don't mind exploring a bit when the chance comes up.

Middle school is so.... dramatic. More nowadays than before (is that was possible). I like middle school band at least because they're far enough in their playing to play some good music, but they still have some of that initial music excitement. I just feel it's the perfect time to really get them on board w/ the music thing. Plus, being in a group where they feel they belong to something welcoming and great can make a world of difference. As for high school, I'm a marching band geek - I would love and love to teach it (and be busy all of the time lol). I just have a mind for massive organization and demanding perfection. And high school music literature is just <3

I've done a few sub elementary classes and they weren't bad by any means. I just have a tough time being more "cutesy"? with the kids because I never grew up around them. And I'm probably too serious when I'm not as comfortable lol.

I get happy chills every time English-speaking Kratos casts it. XDDDD

Ah, I was under the impression that Aiba was in the most productions! But this was probably a while back before newer shows were included in the count too. Giri Giri Morning sounds fun. :D

Dramatic is one way to sum up middle school. I like the lower elementary grades for a similar reason to why you like middle school band. They're so eager to learn, and so excited about getting to read and such. Upper elementary also has its perks since students are readier for more challenging things, though it's a bit sad that some students are already losing their interest in learning by this point (this is very dependent on what teachers they've had). It's wonderful that students in band get to be part of something where they feel like they belong and can make a difference! :D

Haha, I have a problem with the tone I adopt for different grade levels. Cutsey tones make me tired, while I tend to become more robotic when teaching higher grades. I need to find a balance!

Ah, Tales of Symphonia! Yup, "Judgment" always makes me think of ToS too because of Kratos and that spell of his. :) Now since I'm so addicted to LSK, I mostly only think of Judgment as the Judgment Knight. XD; There are also other knights that reminded me of names from other places first, like "Cloud" Knight. Sure made me think of Final Fantasy VII first. ;)

Oh all foods... just plain rice! XD Let's talk some irony.... amyused put up a doujinshi sale post sometime in the morning when I was asleep... and I saw that it had an anthology called "Dream Rice Okome Daisuke" (Kane/Other Rikkai members). But it was the first thing sold and I was sad because I did not know there was such thing as Kane being in a doujinshi. But amyused said she'll look in a used bookstore for me, which is the plus side! For some odd reason, I just want it badly... more than most other fandom things I've wanted Maybe because it's Kane and it sounds hilarious XD

Giri Giri is lovable and pretty darn hilarious. I only wish I understood more of what is going on. But yeah, the trio of Kane - Baba- Kento Ono is fantastic!

I feel that if I was teaching another subject, I would like the lower grades a bit more for the same reasons you do :) It's very exciting to hear that you're so passionate about learning in general. I've met quite a few teachers (or want-to-be teachers) that are not in it for the right reasons and that's depressing :(

It's the first time in five years where I've had to deal w/ dial-up for more than three months. 'Cause my university had wifi and so did my apartment. Lol.

Then we shall be lost together! XD

He is so much boss when he casts Judgement. REST IN PEACE SINNERS! But my favorite moves to use with him are Grave and Thunder Blade just to hear him say it and also for the powerful noise effects it makes. I'm always so sad when he's gone part of the game! Even if it is plot-essential gah. And I wish Yuan was a playable character.

That sounds like a fantastic trio for Giri Giri... I should try to catch it sometime! I've only caught one live (radio) show from nico nico for KENN and Morikubo Shoutarou. It's hard to catch something live. XD; I should make use of their recording system. I think they allow us to record and watch it once.

Thank you about the costumes! :D I'm glad Ike doesn't have armor in his POR outfit, though he does have that chest armor... thing? No idea what to call that, but I just made it out of leather. I like all three of Soren's outfits. His archsage outfit looks quite cool. It's a palish green, I think, very light colored unlike his other outfits. There's no official art of it though, just in game shots...

Somebody has been putting up videos of Giri Giri on the tenimyutopia community if you want to watch past ones. They're all quite hilarious. #1 has the funniest "Petenshi" corner (I think). #5 has Charades (or what they call 'Gestures') and that was a ton of fun too. #6 also has Round 2 of Charades/Gestures. Basically, you can't go wrong with them

I'm not very familiar with Nico nico so I don't know about their recording system. And unfortunately, no one else records any of the other Tenimyu-actor shows (but thank Kami no Ko that Giri Giri is recorded for the poor dial-up soul that is I!)

Speaking of leather, I just really really really want the Rikkai leather wristbands. More than almost anything. I just can't sew anything T.T But it's on my to-do list to find someone who could make me a pair when I have the money!

You know, the archsage outfit is coming back in my memory.... sorta. Now I need to put in the game and see tomorrow. I think Sothe looks super sweet in his coat, but no official art has him in that. Poor Kirihara got stuck w/ the super midriff outfit But Yanagi does give him the coat in a later chapter ;)

Yuan is so.... conflicted. He's the Snape of ToS!!! Well, so is Kratos. It's probably why I like them both so much! XD And the fact they're magic sword wielders + angels. *flails*

The Shinjuku movie w/ KenKen, Kane, Mamo, and Kawai in it. The storyline is a bit fast (and a little choppy in places), but it's quite endearing and funny... and a bit crazy silly. Plus it has little kids in it! It's personally one of my favorite things I've seen.

Mission Kane means photoshop fun which is currently a lot better than writer's block. But I did get more writing done although not in the chapter that needs to get done. I'm writing like three different chapters at the same time spread between my laptop, my iPod touch, and a journal.

I haven't gotten into any of them save Giri Giri because I am unable to stream video. I really want to see at least one of Boogie Woogie Night (Kato Kazuki, Yagami Ren, Kime). That just seems like it would be interesting. Btw, there is one called "Mmm... Ecstasy" LOL.

I want to wear leather wristbands everywhere. It would be boss lol. And for sure playing tennis in them XD

The coat one does show his midriff, but not as much. And it has long sleeves verses his sleeveless vest. Yanagi gets him the coat for the approaching winter (class promotion!). Poor Jackal is stuck with the sleeveless outfit look during the winter though. Maybe Marui could get him a coat too? :D But Boyd has those spiked shoulder pads if I remember right...? Will check on that later.

I didn't know you liked Kawai? :D Loved him seeing Gekokujou and being Hiyoshi. Ended up loving him more while watching the movie 'cause 1) He dresses all formal the entire movie and 2) His cold, 'I don't want anything to do with this even though I keep getting involved' personality is <3
