Miracle Train ended up being the only anime I've finished so far from Fall season. (I'm following Tegami Bachi, but that's still ongoing.) XD; It's fairly lighthearted but can be touching at times. It makes me smile when I watch it because there's nothing earth shattering going on. Okiayu Ryoutarou and KENN both voice train stations in it, and Ishida Akira voices the sarcastic dog above. The dog's really cute and is featured in the eyecatches of each episode. The series starts out episodic with the train stations helping a different female solve her problem each week. There's an attempt at a deeper plot near the end. The last two episodes were a nice surprise (and kind of...sci-fi-ish). ^___^ The ending pictures were especially touching! One of my favorite episodes was when a guy stumbled onto the train instead of a girl. XD; It's a fun series to squeal over because there are lots of eye candy and useless trivia involved.
This series makes me want to visit Japan again and go to those stations. XDD
Each episode ends with two hand puppets who tell us the preview of the next episode. Those hand puppets are so darn cute. I want one.
Roppongi's a sweet guy. He's shy and was even told that he should speak up more, so he tries to do that (and fails). I was very amused.
Roppongi looks way too cool in this outfit. ♥
I am pretty impressed that most of the series took place on the train. How did they manage to come up with 12 episodes with such a premise? XD
This other train station looked cool. :3 I liked when other train stations had cameos.

Awwwww. He's just like Asuka from Otomen. :D
...this was really cute. The timing of "Will you fall in love with a train station?" here was quite perfect.
Well, that ends my weekly dose of KENN's voice...maybe I should watch Reborn to hear him as Dino now...

Date: 2009-12-31 06:23 am (UTC)Aw. But that Suzaku pillow and Code Geass R2 mug sound pretty good. The last episode was quite sweet though, so it's not a bad episode to watch on your birthday, yeah? Would be nice if they gave us the Chuou line too.
I always thought Roppongi was the sort-of main character, but I never thought Akari would be the last passenger! With her having gotten on at Roppongi station. It was a pleasant surprise.

Date: 2009-12-31 06:11 am (UTC)I had my Roppongi/Akari suspicions from the second episode ^^; Even though I solidly ship Shinjuku/Roppongi, which makes no sense at all.
When I go to Japan in April and we hit any of those stations, I'm definitely taking pictures. (I can hear the Japanese now: "Oh, look at that stupid foreign girl, you'd think she's never been to a train station before...")

I screencapped the other train station that made an appearance because he wore glasses. XD; I don't remember what station he was...Nakano, maybe? But he has glasses! *flails* And long hair that's tied back! Touchou is such a serious megane guy. :D
