My third and last cosplay I wore to Fanime. X3; I wore this on Monday. There were very few people at the convention on Monday (sooo different from Saturday and Sunday) but I was stopped and complimented on my cosplay quite a bit. It must be the wings since the rest of it is so simple.
It's me, with teal/aqua-ish hair and wings! :D I wanted to make Eureka's normal outfit (here's how it looks like) but I ran out of time, so I went with her outfit that she wears in the last episode. It's a plain white, long-sleeved dress that was very easy to sew. The wig was a white wig that my dad trimmed for me. I then colored it with sharpie. X3; (This one doesn't come off as easily! Higher quality wig perhaps?) Her hair's messier too later on, so I didn't bother too much with making my wig look neat. ^^;
And yes, I'm a walking spoiler, so if you haven't watched all the way until the end of Eureka seveN and still plan to, clicking the lj-cut is probably not a good idea. XD;
My backyard's really messy, but at least there's pretty flowers. XD;

Boo, you can still see my black hair peaking from below. I think the wig needs some combing too. Do wigs use different gel from normal hair? Can I use my normal hairgel on wigs? 0_0;

I'm supposed to be barefoot. Please ignore the fact that I have slippers on. At least they're white. X3;

The wings are made out of wire and green cellophane that I bought around Easter time. Supposedly, cellophane is supposed to stick together after you heat it...but even after ironing the darn thing, the green cellophane wouldn't stick together. Maybe it wasn't cellophane after all. But anyway, I ended up having to use that magic sewing heat bond thingie used to stick cloth and other stuff together. I tied two pieces of white ribbon around the center of the wings and wore the wings almost like how I'd wear a backpack.

I took one picture with a Holland cosplayer I saw around the convention. He was like...the only other E7 cosplayer there!
I'm going to be making Eureka's normal outfit for AX. Need to figure out how to make her boots...I've bought the cloth for the rest of the outfit already. Well, I'm going to start making her buttons first. X3;
I still want to wear my wings though. D:Which means I need to do the green armed version of Eureka for that. Now how do I go about that...
Eureka has purple eyes. Should I try to get purple contacts? D: I'm really tempted to, but contacts are kind of more than I'm willing to spend for a cosplay. I've never worn contacts before in my life. I'd need to get my eyes checked first. >_> Do contacts show up well in pictures? D:
g2n's doing Renton (last episode version!) and her sisters are doing Dominic and Anemone, with their friends doing Talho and Gidget. Too bad we don't have any guys in the group to do the rest of the Gekkostate Crew. X3; But well, we have a good-sized group. :)Too bad there's no gathering for E7 at AX set up. I'd like to meet other E7 fans too. ):
I'd like to make a Gulliver plushie too. He's so adorable.Gulliver slippers would be nice too XD; He'll probably take an entire bag of stuffing.
Pics of other cosplayers next. I'm slowly getting through all of my photos.

Date: 2007-06-05 09:24 pm (UTC)Purple eyes is such an important part of Eureka. If it weren't, I wouldn't think much about getting contacts. I wonder if purple contacts would show up...my eyes are such a dark brown that the color might not show up. ):

Date: 2007-06-06 05:14 am (UTC)I like the range of cosplays you have, from the rather amusing Kirihara, to the PWNSOME AWESOME KEWL'NESS of DGM, to the omg!pretty Eureka. ^______^

Date: 2007-06-06 06:10 am (UTC)I don't quite know how people are able to do so many cosplays. I have trouble fitting in three! And just making my Rikkai jacket took me forever. @_@
Of course you can't abandon Inui. XDDD You're going for more than one day right? Cosplay as spy!Inui for one of those days~
Hee, this is the first time I've gotten wigs for my cosplay. X3; I'm happy I was able to do Kirihara and Eureka since both of those hairstyles aren't manageable with my own hair.

Date: 2007-06-06 08:10 am (UTC)I hope you go on Monday! It's good for last minute shopping. I'll be checking out that day though, so I'll probably have to leave early since I'll have no where to put my junk. ):

Date: 2007-06-08 10:24 am (UTC)I usually look around, try to compare prices (though sometimes I'm too hasty!), and generally spend a ton of time browsing. I always end up doing some last minute shopping even if I bought a lot of stuff already. XD;;
