Last episode! My blogs are so random. X3; And, mostly just pics. Little prose. Because the pics are pretty.

From last episode's preview...it was pretty much given that he'd be back. (with the sun behind him, dazzling Hino!)

Yunoki's back from England. We find out that he went to decline the offer of studying overseas. Hino is glad that Yunoki's back for the last selection. Hihara and the rest find out that Kanazawa-sensei knew all along that Yunoki wasn't actually going to study overseas. For me...this made the Yunoki-goes-abroad part kind of...pointless.

Cute pic of Kanayan where he's telling the rest that he knew about Yunoki's situation. It's one of the few times he actually has lines in this episode. ^^;

When Lily is about to magick some clothes for Hino, one of the girls burst into the changing room to tell Hino that her bansou injured her hands and thus can't perform. Heh, of course something has to go wrong during the selections. X3; (Oo, Fuyuumi's wearing something different. SLEEVELESS too.) Tsuchiura immediately says that he'll do it instead, but Hino declines, saying that she can't let another participant be her bansou. When the door opened, I knew immediately who was going to come in. ^^;;

Who other than Hino's bansou from the 1st selection? Apparently, Hino'sbad music lately has made her remember the days when she first started playing the piano. Since they hadn't practiced together, Hihara asks Kanazawa to change the order so that Kaho could go last and practice with her bansou in the meantime. Everyone supports the idea.

Yunoki becomes the first to go up. While he's playing, Hino thinks about how much Yunoki has affected her. Because Yunoki showed her his real self, Kaho was able to find her true feelings as well. At this point, I started thinking, "Wow, Yunoki's in this episode a lot." But immediately afterwards, I realized that Kaho was surely going to have these flashback things with all of the participants. (Poor Ousaki, Kanazawa, and Amou aren't given much screentime in this episode.)

"Kaho-chan, good luck! I'm going to to try my best too because I really like the trumpet! This music, I hope for it to reach the person that I like. With my music, I want to encourage the person that I like and bring courage for her."
Second up is Hihara. Kaho thinks about how Hihara-senpai was the first to teach her about the happiness that music brings. She also thinks about how he is always supporting and encouraging her.

For Fuyuumi, Kaho thinks of Fuyuumi as a little sister. She says that Fuyuumi is able to play calmly now without becoming nervous. Because of the concours, Fuyuumi-chan has become a wonderful woman. Kaho's blurb on Fuyuumi is so short. ^^; (Unlike with the other participants, Kaho doesn't think about how Fuyuumi affected her.)

Kaho muses that she learned a lot from Shimizu, that she's awed by Shimizu's seriousness with music. Shimizu is such a music dork. X3; Er, I've only just realized that the reason why Shimizu always appears with water is because that's the element he's associated with. Guh. *goes back to look at the pics for the other characters* But anway, it's kind of weird seeing Kaho in the backdrop...hence in the water.
After Shimizu's performance, Ousaki tells Hino that she should probably head back now.

Huh, it probably has something to do with the fact that Hino has to be present for Tsukimori and Tsuchiura's performances! Tsukimori gets much longer blurbs than the other characters. Hino says that Tsukimori was the first to teach her the beauty of the violin from his music. Now, Tsukimori's music isn't just beautiful. It's strong and kind as well. Hino believes that because Tsukimori's music resounded in her heart, she was able to come this far.
Hee. Like usual, Tsukimori always has feathers floating around him.

He even gets a screen with...uh himself in the background. XD;; I noticed that Tsukimori didn't have a bansou. *blinks*

Tsuchiura is last. I thought that was pretty surprising. (I thought for sure that Tsukimori would be the last performer.) Hino thinks that Tsuchiura was always saving her. Because of Tsuchiura's support, Hino was able to try her best.

Heh, and then Tsuchiura even has a moment with himself. With the way this episode went, it feels that Hino had the most influence on Tsuchiura. Since because of Hino, he was able to get over his past. After Tsuchiura plays, he exchanges words with Tsukimori. Tsukimori says that the performance was very like him.
Kaho then goes on stage wearing her uniform to play Ave Maria. Hihara comments that it's something that she'd do.

It feels that Kaho is more in love with her violin than with the guys. XD; She even says that she's in love with the violin and in love with music. She comments that Ave Maria was her very first step.

After her performance, the crowd claps wildly. Hihara yells out "Kaho-chan!" Kaho immediately turns to her violin and asks if it can hear everyone's cheer.
Everything fades and Kaho is sitting in the audience by herself. She tells Lili that she's going to keep on practicing the violin. We then get images of the five boys on stage (though I think only one of them is actually there and we're to imagine who we want to be there?) Anyway, they all call Kaho by her first name! And they're all sparkling. XD;;

"Kaho-senpai."

"Kahoko."

"Kaho."

"Kahoko."

"Kaho-chan."

In the ending, Brand New Breeze starts playing and various scenes with all of them playing their instruments with the kids are shown. I thought Hihara and Tsukimori's were particularly cute, but I included Ousaki's since it's his event. XD;; And, he didn't appear much in the rest of the caps.
This wasn't an ending that would blow my mind away, but it did have nice, pretty stills of everyone. The opening was entirely open-ended We don't even learn about who won the concours! I don't actually care as much about who Kaho ends up with...since she got plenty of screentime with everyone. I wanted more interaction with everyone though. This episode was mostly Kaho reflecting on how everyone influenced her. There was barely any interaction or reflection from the other people! D:
There has to be a DVD special for this too, right? It'd be nice if it took place right after the last selection, since I really wanted to hear what they all thought of it.
Mm, with all those pretty stills, I'm thinking that I should make some alternatives for my moodtheme. :3
