For those on my flist who haven't heard about [livejournal.com profile] blind_go yet, the annonymous fics are going to be posted on the 17th (Sunday), so do drop by and take a guess at which fic(s) are mine, among others. XD;;

And now, a lovely meme from [livejournal.com profile] murinae.

Five things I did when I should have been writing Blind Go:

1. Finished challenge fic for [livejournal.com profile] remus_reads, which ate up my time.
2. Attended class, tutored little kids, and straightened out my schedule.
3. Played Wild Arms 4.
4. Read Iliad, Theogony, Works and Days, Alice in Wonderland, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, A Wizard of Earthsea, and Dealing with Dragons (this was reading for class, actually, ~_~ )
5. Worked on Rikkaidai cosplay.

Yeah, boring life. I actually started very early, but hated what I wrote.

Five things you probably never knew about me as a fanfic writer (or maybe I should call it five things you probably should know):

1. Most of my ideas for fics start with the title. When a good title hits me, the story fills in the little details by itself afterwards. But when I start with the actual story and then try to think of a title, things usually don't turn out so well. Horrid story, lame title.
2. When I write dialogue, I'm always afraid it'll turn into something like "he said" and then "she said."
3. I don't write much romance, though I have at times.
4. I tend to use the past perfect quite a bit, and then I get all mixed up with my tenses and have no idea what I'm doing anymore.
5. Uh...read some of my fic and tell me? I don't seem to know my own style very well. -_-;; It has changed from when I first started writing, but the fics in the past year should have around the same style. I haven't deliberately tried to disguise my style, so *shrugs*

Oh yeah. I reread what I wrote and found that I had written almost the exact same line that I wrote for a previous fic. (was wondering why it sounded so familiar!) But I left it like that, since that might make guessing a bit easier too. XD;;

I hope I'm not blatantly giving myself away. ^^;; But, I do hope that at least some people can guess correctly at my fic(s), so this'll most likely help. :3 Since, I haven't exactly written much in the Hikago fandom, have I?

Dude, stuff you're supposed to do doesn't count!

1. Most of my ideas for fics start with the title.

That almost never happens to me (I usually slap on a horrid title when I'm done writing a fic), but it happened while I was writing for blind_go. Strange, huh?

2. When I write dialogue, I'm always afraid it'll turn into something like "he said" and then "she said."

I think most people have that fear, so you're not alone! I'm also afraid that I'll overdo it with the adverbs and such while trying to avoid the "he said/she said" syndrome.

OH NOES, I GAVE MYSELF AWAY!

Gah, I so want to read all the fics that are piling up in the Forbidden Blind_Go Gmail Inbox. And I want to talk about which titles I like but I can't because I'd be giving myself away!

My fics tend to have either a lot of dialogue or very little dialogue, I think. Maybe. *too lazy to check*

Wow, you were productive in your procrastination! ^_^b

Heh, I wonder if I ought to give a deadline extension for the guessing as well. Will discuss with co-mod. XD

*dies of envy*

You were so productive while I on the otherhand had been...utterly useless. XD XD

... or you could always skip the he said and she said, have pure dialogue accompanied by gestures.

>____< all the things I do for my little sister. School tradition. Much bites. How are, Res?

... That doesn't count as procrastination! You're too productive!

(Why, no, I'm definitely not taking notes from the second meme because I fail at guessing. Why do you ask?)
