This will be a fairly short post this time, considering how little I wrote in 2015. 2015 has not been a writing year. :') I kind of fell out of the habit of writing. Let's see if I can get myself back in the mindset.

A Slice of Wedding Cake Slice 14 (Legend of Sun Knight, 3956 words)
And so begins my terrible update speeds, one update in January! It was also Kiyu and my only update for Cake in 2015. We still hope to be able to finish the fic. :') It is scheduled to be 19 chapters in all, and we know exactly how the story will end. I myself only have 2 more chapters to write, Slice 16 and Slice 18.

Hey, not a bad turnout for February! I tried very hard to finish Fifteen Going on Sixty, which resulted in two updates, but as of yet, the fic is still not completed. But since V8 is completely translated now, I can finish the story without worrying about spoiling people anymore. \o\
I did not expect that a chapter from A Vice-Captain's Tale could turn out so long. What happened... D:

The month of oneshots. Grisia getting drunk was an idea Kiyu and I had been tossing around in uh... 2014. I finally got around to writing it. XD It turned out a bit like Long Live the Sun Knight, in which all that happened was Lesus and Grisia talking about what had happened. I guess I just really like writing them talking to each other. >__> I was very happy that I was able to finish the fic. :')
Beyond the Storm Comes Sunlight is a fic that has gone through many revisions... and is a oneshot. In which I never posted the second half. OTL Must do that sometime this year. Hopefully.

Invincible slowly plods along...! I've tried to stick to one POV per chapter, but with how stuck I was, I let three different characters speak in this chapter. It turned out...okay? The next chapter has been gathering dust and probably needs a rewrite.
No Sweeter Words was a oneshot I wrote for Blueberry Pie day~~. I was just so amused that April 28 is blueberry pie day. Writing young Roland and Grisia was quite fun. They were so cute...

Gasp! I wrote something that's not LSK. It was just a very reactionary story right after reading Dominion's End v3. I still haven't written Part 2, and now Volume 4 is about to be released already. XD; Yu Wo is fast with DE!

Follow the Sign was supposed to be a quick fic (yeah who was I kidding) but is now no longer a quick fic. I mapped out all the different series Adair will be visiting. He's still stuck in No Hero at the moment though. Maybe he'll be stuck there for another year...

Had a random LSK dream that I wrote a drabble about. It was a bizarre dream. I also tossed up what I had of the discarded Dishonest Honesty. Thank goodness I never actually decided to start the fic! I updated My Very Own Creature of Darkness as a Halloween celebration~
And that was sadly my last fic update of the year! I posted nothing new in November and December. 0___0;;
Total number of stories: 5 oneshots (2 incomplete...), 9 longfics updated
Total word count: ~35028 words. Quite far from 150k, the goal I set every year that I've yet to reach. 120k was the closest I'd ever gotten, which was in 2011.
Fandoms written in: Pretty much all LSK again. One surprise Dominion's End fic.
Leitmotif(s) of the year: Eh, friendship and family, I suppose. Not sure I wrote enough to say.
Favorite fic: No Sweeter Words. It makes me happy when I reread it. :'D; Though it's also a little bittersweet knowing what happens later, but in any case, it's a cute story.
Best fic: Is there one? D: I did like what I wrote of Elmairy in A Slice of Wedding Cake Slice 14. Got to explore his romance with Ann.
Most popular fic: Probably still My Friend, the Pope (in-training).
Most underappreciated fic: Nothing really. I think the stories were received exactly like how I thought they'd be. But I hope even when I don't write about the main characters, people will still want to read the stories.

For you to start the year with a 7k fic should be a good sign, I hope? At first I don’t quite understand why you chose Chikus to be the mc but latter I thought, okay, he’s the perfect mc for the story.
Cake : For Lesus and Grisia to confide to Leaf is kinda cute. I never thought Leaf plays an important part for Grisia to finally confess to...a straw doll.
The pope’s story : I more interested in his past rather than the present; perhaps you could write a short flashback of his early days with Silvie and the rest of the knight?
For Vice-Captain Stone’s story, I’d believe I share Tyler’s confusion, like ‘What te heck are you talking about?’ So Stone doesn’t like cats, huh? He can be good friends with Wei Shi! The latter also hate the (not cute) furry creature! XD
Though rather than letting Wei Shi and Stone meet, may I request for you to consider a meeting between Adair and Fan Tong? After Adair left the No Hero fandom of course! (Still wonder how long Adair stuck there - not to say it’s a bad thing!)
Well anyway, while travelling across different world, Adair need to be aware not to slaughter Baolilong and post it to the Pope to help ease the Holy Temple’s financial problem! But a fight between an assassin and a vice-captain would be sort of interesting, I guess? And perhaps, he could (surprisingly) find his captain by playing Nintendo? Who knows?
And yes, please write more of Adair’s days of stalking his captain! How did he survive to tell the tale? Would Blaze gave him some tips on stalking? And why did Blaze stop stalking? Got a nightmare of seeing Grisia’s facial mask?
For Grisia’s to be drunk, I’m curious of Tyler’s reaction of hearing rumors about Roland. Will he challenge his captain for Hell Knight’s position one more time? XD
Invincible : I can expect another chapter (or more) this year, right?
No Sweeter Words : Grisia and Roland as kids are the cutest!
My friend, the pope in training : And yeah, mini Ecilan is cute too! Will Georgo finally trapped into Grisia’s small favor now that Grisia’s no longer the Sun Knight in training?

Dishonest Honesty : I always love Georgo’s pov, sadly its the end. You can write a new body swap fic! Lesus and Georgo for example? Hard to imagine Lesus stuttering, though. But it should be sort of.. cute? At least Lesus can have a relaxing day of not vomiting after interrogation!

Date: 2016-01-09 08:01 am (UTC)Haha, it took me months to write Goodbyes and Hellos. The bulk of the writing was done in 2015, so I'm not sure if I can take that to be a good sign for 2016 or not. But 7k is 7k~~. The Chikus POV surprised me too, actually. When I first thought of the fic, I thought I might write it from Ceo's POV. But after giving it some thought, I wanted to write from a POV that didn't belong to either of the main couple's, but it had to be someone who'd die much, much later. In the end, I thought Chikus would be perfect because of how attuned he is to spirits and how much he values Grisia and the bonds shared by the Twelve Holy Knights. (Chika is also Theo's dear sister. XDDD)
Grisia is never going to live down confessing to a straw doll, haha.
Fifteen Going on Sixty is more focused on the present, that's true. Exploring of the Pope's past might be interesting too.
Vice-Captain Stone rambled so much... Oh, Wei Shi! I didn't like him too much at first, but he turned out to be such a tsundere, hahahaha. And he's pretty hard working. Without him working so diligently, I think their city would be in trouble. Well, Adair will definitely be the one meeting a lot of characters. A meeting between Adair and Fan Tong would be interesting. I wonder if I'll be able to write Fan Tong's very amusing speech though. XD
Noooo, Baolilong... Stay away from the dragon-slaying holy knights.

A continuation of The Audition? XD It was just a random ficlet! The Grisia reincarnation probably got the part. Since he auditioned for the Earth Knight and someone else is playing the part of the Sun Knight, probably a bunch of them are all playing the part of different knights (not their own). All mixed up. XD
I like Georgo's POV a lot. Very different from the other characters'. LOL, Lesus and Georgo switching... Lesus having to stutter. XD; Though now that I think about it, a lot of them would probably enjoy the Earth Knight's position. (Just, not Georgo's version of the Earth Knight's position with bringing girls back to his room)
A fic where all of them are mixed up might be fun...
