I signed up for NaNoWriMo

50k words in a month. 0_0 Let's see...my longest fic was Hoshi ga Hoshii desu.  That was aroud 70k words. Took me a year to write. -_- With November being a month full of midterms and project due dates, this NaNoWriMo doesn't look too doable.  But...I have an original story that I'd love to write. I hope I can at least churn out a reasonable length story. ;)

:O Sounds fun! But 50k... that's a lot. Might sign up, since I really need to write and my english grammar is getting bumpy from not using english much. :/ And writing a novel sounds really fun and inspiring. xD

I'm thinking about writing an original. I have a really intricate story that I want to write. At least...I have all the characters planned out even though I don't have much of a plot yet. XD;;

Hehe. This time limit might actually pressure me into writing something. ;)

I want to write an original, too, except I don't have much of an idea of what to write. But then again, it says you don't need a plot, and I'm sure it's okay to load your original fics with Mary Sues for this. :P I think I'll just type whatever that comes to me and hope it all makes sense. o.O

Actually, the main character of my fic is really going to look like a Mary Sue. Since I have the same name as her. I basically got my online nickname from that imaginary character I always wanted to write about. XD;;

So yeah. One of the characters is going to be named Lucathia. 0_0 And the other one Rykatu. 0_0;;; Not terribly good names, but that was what I came up with in the very beginning when I wanted to write about these characters.

I don't get why naming your main character a name you really like makes it a Mary Sue (according to the Mary Sue Litmus test). You have to like it if you're going to name your character. I've never heard of the name Lucathia, though. It's a good name. :3 I think I'll just randomly browse through a name directory and pick a random name that seems good enough.

Will your novel contain fishbones in it? :O

Hm...I was thinking about having a fishbones necklace in the fic. :D Not too sure if it would be of any importance though.

Now, if it were a fic solely about fishbones, that would scare me. XD;;

A fic solely about fishbones would be pretty cool. xD Simple titles like 'Fishbones' sound really cool to me. It could be about someone collecting fishbone things... and his journey for fishbone items... *remembering 'Star Girl'*

Whoa, that's a long fic. I'm not into Shaman King, unfortunately, but that must've been a lot of work. :)

I was going to sign up for NaNoWriMo, but doubt took over. I really want to tho... just that I'm afraid I'll abandon everything else to write 1667 words a day.

It's weird...I'm not actually that much of a fanatic over Shaman King, but I just had something that I really wanted to write for one of the characters. :D That was basically the fic that ate my life last year. I've found that if I don't keep thinking about something, I can't write about it. I thought about that story so much!

Hm...same thing will have to go for this NaNoWriMo thing. Must be constantly thinking about the novel I'll be writing.

Gosh. I didn't even think about how many words I have to write every single day to reach that 50k mark. At most...I only ever write about 2k words a week. -_-;; And that's when I'm feeling productive.

Well, school work's still going to come first. ^^;;

47 chapters for that one character? Man, you are dedicated. XD I can see how that fic ate your life. But that's your pride and joy, right? I wish I have your determination!

Hmm, constantly thinking of one thing. I can't do that. Every cell of my being has ADHD. XDD

School work does come first, except in the moments of creative surge. *COUGH*

You're taking Linguistics and Japanese studies. How do you like them?

After I finished writing that story, I actually felt kind of lost. XD;; No more creative surges!! Yup, pride and joy...sort of. Sometimes I wonder...wow, I wrote that? And other times I wonder...what ever was I thinking when I wrote that?? There are some parts I wish I could change...but too bad. The story's already finished. I miss the characters though.

Mm. Linguistics can be frustrating at times. I really miss my professor from last semester. She was so nice. I've only had her for all my previous ling courses, so this semester was kind of a new experience. :3 I'm looking forward to next semester though, since I'm going to be taking a Japanese linguistics course. Going to be very challenging...since my Japanese isn't that great. XD;;

You're majoring in Bioengineering? Are you going to be done after next semester?

Yup, I've already started on this path towards writing a novel length fic. It all starts with thinking about the story every single moment...in the shower...before I go to sleep...XD;;
