1. Yagyuu prefers noodles--especially tokoro-ten--over meat, but when he's in the company of Niou, Kirihara, Jackal, and Marui, yakiniku is about all they order. Perhaps he should ask Yanagi to dinner sometimes. He wouldn't mind having a nice light meal now and then.
2. He dislikes the color purple. When Yagyuu was only a first year, he was the victim of a prank involving purple hair dye. Purple, of all colors. It clashed horribly with whatever he wore other than his school uniform. He didn't have any clothes that went well with purple, but after the entire fiasco, Yagyuu found himself with a lot more neutral white shirts.
3. Said prankster was none other than one Niou Masaharu, who was the guy Yagyuu barely knew from the class next door. He certainly had way more than enough time to get acquainted with him after that.
4. Yagyuu is not one to let matters slide. The next week, Niou found himself with hair bleached to the roots. To this day, he remembers Niou's stunned expression which quickly turned into a sly grin. Niou never confronted him, but Niou's expression alone implied that he knew. About Yagyuu. That was the beginning of their erratic friendship.
5. Yagyuu secretly thinks that silverish-white hair suits Niou's tricky nature better than his previous hair color. More subtle. He is glad that Niou keeps to that color. No one knows that Niou hadn't been the one to dye his own hair in the very beginning. Everyone just assumes.
6. Yagyuu is not narcissistic. But when the purple hair dye finally came off, he stood in front of the mirror for a good hour and a half. Yagyuu never knew beforehand how much he liked his unassuming light brown hair. That was the longest he ever spent in front of the mirror.
7. He joined the tennis club in his first year because of its strength. Thirteen years of continuous victory at the Kantou tournament was impressing. But Yagyuu was determined to take that a step further.
8. For as long as he can remember, he has worn glasses. Without his glasses, the entire world is a blur. Sometimes, he prefers the blurriness over seeing too clearly into everything. But with his glasses, it is easy to distance himself from confusion. Or was it the other way around? He wonders if perhaps Yanagi never opens his eyes because of a similar reason.
9. If asked about his favorite subject, he would not be able to answer with any specific subject. He excels at all of them and finds all of them to be about the same.
10. In the future, he does not see himself playing tennis as a professional. What he will be doing he does not know yet. He has considered becoming a doctor, but the idea of getting confined to white walls is not very appealing.
11. Seigaku's rookie, Echizen Ryoma, and his ability to play tennis with both hands is not very special. Nitoryuu, was it? Yagyuu is ambidextrous, yet he does not flaunt it. He uses it to his advantage only when the time is right.
12. Yagyuu is organized but not to the point of being meticulous. His papers are filed away systematically, but his mystery novels are scattered about his room, readily available at hand whenever he wishes to leaf through them.
13. Yayguu’s locker is next to Jackal’s, which is next to Yanagi’s. He prefers their quiet corner over the rambunctious corner that Marui, Kirihara, and Niou occupy. He wonders who decided this disastrous combination but remains silent about the matter. Jackal, however, seems to be at the end of his nerves.
14. He will not miss Niou-kun or any of his teammates after they graduate from middle school. He will see them in high school and then in college anyway. They still have a good seven years together before them, though whether he can describe that fact as 'good,' Yagyuu does not know.
15. He winces when he dyes his hair white to pull the switch with Niou. He adds hair dye onto his list of dislikes.
16. Yagyuu likes playing singles, but has been put in doubles most of the time because his laser beam is more easily executed in doubles than in singles. He doesn’t mind, for being in doubles means that he always gets to play. And win.
17. His little sister is surprisingly almost the same age as Niou’s younger brother. It scares him that they get along. They are only in elementary school, when boys should still be pulling girl’s ponytails and girls should still be turning their noses up at boys.
18. Yagyuu finds cosplaying fun. Perhaps he should consider acting as a possible future career.
19. He doesn’t understand how Yukimura can be so passionate about tennis, to the point that he would chance his own life just to play. He doesn't share that particular passion, but he does share everyone's desire to win.
20. Yagyuu likes a good mystery novel and can immerse himself in one for an entire day. However, he prefers deciphering the mysteries presented by the people around him, for those mysteries aren’t written down in solid ink.

A/N: This was surprisingly hard. I got stumped at around #11, and then suddenly I had too many things that I wanted to include.
#1 -- Marui would be there just because he likes to eat. :D
#2 -- I was thinking of moss green shirts...but ick. Green and purple?
The purple in the anime irked me. Hope I didn't go horribly OOC over all that.

#14 - that tugs at me somehow, the idea that Yagyuu wouldn't miss his Team.
I see what you mean now about my #10 and your #1! *grin* advance of the meat brigade, alas. And #19 makes a good point - Yagyuu is all about the Victory and all about winning, less about actual tennis.
Also, I love your last line.

For some reason, food was the first thing that popped into my mind when I was writing this yesterday. So yakiniku and tokoro-ten! Mm. I'm hungry right now. XD;; Yakiniku sounds soo appealing. I better not reread your Marui piece. It's only going to make me hungrier. XD;; But yeah, I figured that having three people in Rikkai all liking yakiniku meant that they ordered that a lot when they got together. ^_^
Glad you like the last line. I had a hard time ending it. :3
