Sign-ups for parallelsfic just opened! It's a fanwork exchange (fic, art, videos/amvs) for rare Asian fandoms. I kind of forgot about it this year, but I nominated a few fandoms at the last minute. |D;; (No need to guess what I nominated... It was a handful of Yu Wo series + Noblesse... Those series being 1/2 Prince, Legend of Sun Knight, Kill No More, and No Hero... wait, why didn't I nominate Female Warrior... darn...). A lot of anime/manga/video games I'm currently interested in have already been nominated by other people. (Kamigami no Asobi! \o\ Log Horizon! /o/)

In this exchange, you choose 4 to 8 fandoms you'd like people to write or draw or make videos for you of. You get matched with a random person who only has to tackle 1 fandom of yours. You are also matched with 1 recipient you have to make 1 thing for. You are guaranteed to have at least one fandom in common.

June 1-15th: Nominations
June 16-29th: Signups
July 1st: Assignments go out
August 1st: Assignments due
August 1st-14th: Pinch hitting

August 22nd: Creator names are revealed

I'm currently unsure whether or not to sign up this year. I have strangely turned into a single fandom writer lately, haha, when that definitely wasn't the case two years ago. And I've just been terrible with deadlines.

I guess it's not like I need to write a super long fic or anything... The requirement is only 500 words... (But I end up writing 7k fics. *head desks* At least my word count shrank each year... Becoming less and less unwieldy...)

Ooooh! So this is where that that story came from~
Wow, there are some really obscure series on that list that I actually know, aha. Beast in the Tower! Gosh, that's some Yaoi I downloaded on my parents' computer years ago... and there are some series I absolutely love... But taking part in one fanfic Secret Santa exchange (and two art exchanges) showed me how unsuited I am for exchanges, ahaha |D Deadlines ugh. And let's not even talk about my fanfic pacing....

Yup yup. XD; The exchange is anonymous until creator names go live after August 22nd... I don't think I was very anonymous last year though. XD;; (we need more people writing LSK, that's what!)

I'm probably going to browse through the fandoms list again later to see if I want to join this year... :3; Maybe I'll request Kamiaso fic...

I've been good with these larger exchanges but terrible with secret santas... /o\

I love getting things written for me so I'm tempted to join in but... woargh I just never know what to make for people, be it art or fiction. My SS story (Inazuma Eleven, btw) was a mess |D;;; wow what did I even write there. Way longer than what I should have written but too short for the concept... and not christmas-y at all... I wouldn't even dare reread it, and it's only a year and a half old! *shivers*

Yes, yes, getting things written/drawn for me is an awesome feeling. |D;; I love gifts. XD; And I usually end up writing fics that I'm sort of proud of for exchanges (since they're gifts, gotta put in the extra effort), or I get to try out fandoms I usually wouldn't write... So... /thinks some more.

Ah, so you have written other fic before. :3 Inazuma Eleven! I didn't know you're into that fandom! (Sports! \o\) I haven't read or watched that series though... But I do love sports series a lot~~

I always feel inappropriate :'D Gifts gotta be perfect! The person deserves it (even if I don't know them personally)! But because I don't know them, I end up writing about what I like instead, and then I worry...

Ahaha, yeah, that was like the one serious fic I wrote in the last years that wasn't related to some original RP my best friend and I have... |D;;;; Yush! Soccer shotas~~ That was actually my hype before LSK! (There was a hype-less break between them however) Just the old series though; I started watching GO (the sequel) but gave up somewhere along the second season... The old series was a nice kind of weird with its fake aliens, but time-travelling and actual aliens (in the third season of GO) were a little too much for me I guess LOL
IE was the first sports anime I really got into~ otherwise I really only read like half of Eyeshield 21 and then there's bathing homos Free!, of course c:

...Is Inazuma even soccer anymore. It sounds pretty amazing. XD

(I thought Prince of Tennis was bad! With people bleeding all over the place and tennis used to settle battles... But I guess... Inazuma is fantastical soccer? Prince of Tennis isn't supposed to be fantastical, lol, but what is physics)

It starts off "normal" but gets a whole lot weirder by the sequel xD Summoning spirit things from the depts of your soul or basically your spirit animals, travelling through time to fuse with the spirits of great people like Nobunaga Oda or Jeanne d'Arc.... I'll stick with good old original series pokémon attack soccer xDD

(It's not fantastical soccer! It's hyper-dimensional soccer! ...yes, that is the official term.)
(also omg Prince of Tennis! I totally forgot about that. I read 70-90 chapters of that years ago, around the time the sequel started its serialization... sports manga/anime are great! <3 Somehow I always end up with the over the top ones tho, ahaha~)
