Summary: Sun and Judgment are getting married. The "why" and "how" really aren't that important right now. For this is not a story about their romance; this is the story of us observers. kiyutsuna! We will be alternating chapters (to be best of our ability). Odd chapters are Kiyutsuna's and even chapters are mine. The idea for this entire fic was totally hers, inspired by this panel of Rule 20 from the manhua. Totally a wedding scene, right? The original scene says, "I'm sorry. In the name of Lesus Judgment, I swear by the God of Light that I will never make such a mistake again." This is set vaguely post-canon (vague, because we'll try to keep spoilers to a minimum). We will likely update on AO3 first each time before crossposting here and on ffnet.

Sun and Judgment are getting married.
Yes, I know, it came as a shock to the rest of us too. But trust me, this is only the tip of the iceberg.
Why and how exactly did they arrive at this particular decision, you ask? According to what I had pieced together from various sources of gossip, the "why" and "how" resulted from a long and twisted chain of events that would put any romance novel to shame. And believe me when I say I've read my share of those. To this day, I resent whichever Storm Knight it was that decided romance novels were a required reading for all Storm Knights-in-training.
Anyhow, back to the main topic. The "why" and "how" really aren't that important right now. For this is not a story about their romance; this is the story of us observers. Yes, we, the underappreciated observers of this whole spectacle who did 99% of the work, and only received a slice of wedding cake in return.
For all you romantics out there, forget about the courtship and proposal and whatnot for a second. There are much more pressing issues at hand. Seriously, do you have any idea how many problems this whole wedding ordeal comes with?!
Simply the fact that the two of them, being the Sun Knight and Judgment Knight, were getting married was a huge deal. Never mind getting married to each other. And noooo, they weren't going to settle for a small and discreet private wedding either. Somewhere along the line the decision was made to have a "proper" wedding.
Which means, it would be public. Which means, it would be the wedding of the century. Which means, my paperwork load had tripled overnight.
I could only thank the God of Light for giving me Roland. Without whom I would not have the time, or any life in me to begin narrating this story. (Adair is much too busy to lend a hand with paperwork. At the moment he and Vidar are conducting some sort of joint training boot camp with their platoons. Apparently it's to promote "family bonding.")
But before we could get to the bulk of all the prep work, one issue was left to the newly engaged couple to debate over.
Who was going to wear the dress?

When it was my turn, the chapter I wrote would not end, so when I finally finished, I said to Kiyutsuna, "I finished writing my part! But it got really long." She read it and said, "I just read it! And it's AWESOME! And really long too." Yup, it was really long. XD Oops, I don't think that was our original intention... The chapters after that got really long too. :'D More crack wedding fic for everyone!

Date: 2014-04-22 11:20 pm (UTC)Judgment in a white puffy wedding gown holding a banquet of flowers and smile beaming… Oh dear, I sincerely hope not, I’m getting the creeps just thinking about it. I’m trying not to shrink into a corner out of horror/mortification. On a side note, I’m surprised that they’re publicizing the wedding; can I come? I promise I won’t do anything too mean (like crash it…).
Are Adair and Radar the best men? Yeah, they have a lot of work to do--- family bonding? Pfft!

Date: 2014-04-23 04:12 am (UTC)It has been really fun writing this~. :D My writing usually ends up fairly non-romantic (it seems even a wedding fic can't escape this), but thankfully, there's Kiyutsuna to balance things out, haha. (And omg, her chapters are so much fun)
You know what, I think this actually is the happily ever after... We just skipped over the big conflict. XD;; But even a happily ever after must have a lot of complications!
Oh gosh, just wait until we get to posting the actual dress part. :) There might even be illustrations to go along with it.
You'll just have to make sure you make it onto Storm's invitation list! The list is very long. XD; His poor eyes and hands.

Now that I think about it, that really is a long list… You’ve got Awaitsun and his family, the royals, the Son of the God of War, maybe even the adventure squads. I wish this was going to be an outdoors wedding so the whole Kingdom could watch.

And there will be romance in there, it is a pairing fic after all =3 but don't worry, the romance will take a backseat and the plot won't stray~~!
Of course you can attend! This wedding is open to everybody <3 (as long as you pay the entrance fee set up by the Pope... But that's not important right now >_>)

Date: 2014-04-23 02:42 pm (UTC)Yay! Now I won’t have to sneak in through an open window… Or maybe I will, I love money just as much as Sun and the Pope. I might not be able to get by the Holy Knights, but with most of them at the ceremony and only Royal Knights guarding the building, I think I can get by (It won’t be my first time sneaking into some place. *never been caught*) I’d probably make a pretty good Hell Knight if given the chance.
I can picture a bunch of buff men in knight amour holding hands and skipping through a field of daisies… It’s as scary as imagining Judgment in a wedding dress…
