A carpetful of Tenipuri!!

I took pics of my completed kanzenban collection of Prince of Tennis. 8D Gotta celebrate after... spending so much money, right?

Terrible lighting, but that's always the case with my photos. Anyway...


The books, all lined up! I usually put volume 1 on the left, but in order to have the picture on the back look right, this is the order the books need to be in. I had to rearrange everything when I realized the picture wasn't working out. XD; Season one is blue. Season two is a slightly different shade of blue. Season three is gold. I think of it as Seigaku, Hyoutei, and Rikkai. XD;


Here's the picture I mean! Look at all those characters!! The picture doesn't extend across seasons though. Season 1 forms one image, season 2 forms another image, and season 3 forms yet another image. So, every twelve volumes = one large image. (Season 1 is on the left, season 3 on the right). For season three, some of the characters are holding up signs. Pieced together, they say "Ouen arigatou." Which means, "Thanks for your support!"

I suppose if I place these on my shelf in this direction, volume 1 will turn out to be on the left. (Just backwards, haha)


Larger version of the pic I have linked before the lj-cut. I love the outside covers! They're gorgeous. As expected of the main character, Ryoma is on the cover 4 times. Some others are featured more than once, like Tezuka, Atobe, and Sanada. I would count Kikumaru and Oshitari too, but then they share their covers with their doubles partner for one of them. Oh, and Mizuki, but S1 V06 is just Mizuki in the background stalking Yuuta. Haha, Higa gets squished all onto a single cover. I'm guessing they're not fan favorites. Though I suppose Fudoumine received very little love too. ):

I really like the covers for S2 V08 and S3 V09! And S2 V09 of course. 8D Final cover is very apt. I figured there would be several characters on it.


Here are the inside covers~. I placed them all facing up, so some of them are blank! Because the drawing is on the back. Pretty hilarious that S1 V10 features Daigoro-chan. XD;; It's like, what the, suddenly a teddy bear! I also find it amusing that S3 V10 and S3 V11 almost look like they connect when I place them side by side... Those are not Kirihara's shoulders. XD


Here's a blurry pic of all of the covers, with some of them flipped upside down so we can actually see who's on the cover. XD Ryoma is on 5 of the covers! Atobe is on...3 of the covers, hahaha. The final cover is all rainbow-ish. XD Hm, I should have flipped a few more of the covers, since I think some of them have a 2nd character on the back...

Konomi-sensei was very impressive, keeping up with drawing new covers and new art while serializing Shin Tenipuri. *___* So much work!!

Personally, I'm convinced that they are on some special Tennis circuit restricted only to those with an active X-gene.

Haha, that would make sense! Not only do they perform physic defying techniques during their tennis matches, off the courts they can even capture thieves and destroy gangs with tennis.

It's like the creator decided to do the smashed raquets and courts to be dramatic and ended up applying it to real life.

From "Whoa, that shot of Atobe's could have killed someone" to "What if it could?"

And then the anime guys thought the crack potential was great and ran with it. So, the Tenipuri fandom ends up having the best OVAs, fillers, and movies ever~

Thanks ^^ Not particularly tbh. My priority at the moment is saving for tickets for Expo and cosplays. So it'll probably be a future 'if I can find them going cheap.' kind of thing.
