I started playing Pokemon Black 2! \o\ I've only gotten my first badge so far (Cheren stopped wearing his glasses, omg), and my pokemon are all very weak. My starter is Oshawott. Was very tempted to pick Snivy again, but I already used Snivy in Black. I find all the connections with Black & White to be pretty cool. :D

Fire Emblem Awakening is coming out next month. I can't wait. I already have it pre-ordered, and I played through the demo a few times. |D;;

The graphics are pretty, I love the new pair up system, and goodness, the supports! Hahahaha, it looks like there will be confession scenes. I was going to create a male avatar for myself since I usually like to play as a guy in games, but I might create a girl instead so I can pair her off with Chrom or one of the other guys. It'll be like playing a strategy/dating-sim. XD;; The new classes are interesting, though I wonder how good they'll be. Battle clerics?! Clerics that can use axes?! I can't imagine a character having both high attack and high magic! Oh, but it's kind of like that for the strategist class too, hm. Trickster class?! What, they can use swords and staves?! Falcon Knights can't use swords, but they can use staves? Wow, this game is really mixing physical attack and magic. A healer on a pegasus...omg... That'd be very useful. But the Dark Pegasus skill sounds cooler. Lightning Speed (allows another turn after defeating an enemy) sounds really cool. 8D

I've already read and watched a lot of spoilers, haha. |D;; Whoops. But Lucina. <3333 She looks pretty awesome. I'm contemplating maybe cosplaying her in May. But then, that might be a walking spoiler, haha. Though I guess I could do the pre-reveal version. |D; (Then I'll have to consider if I have the skills to make her outfit... Soren's was okay since armor and capes weren't involved. I still don't know how to make something resembling armor.).

Speaking of Soren, I hope Soren will be available for North America. *___* Please be available!


I'm currently playing Fire Emblem Shin Monshou no Nazo (FE12). This is my third attempt, haha... I got up to chapter 8 in my 2nd attempt but then gave up. I restarted again last weekend, this time with my character named "Ryuu". He wears an eyepatch. :3;; I picked some different characters this time around, and I managed to level Rody! /o/ (Last time he got really sucky levels, so I had to drop him). So far, my team consists of Marth, Shiida/Caeda, Catria, Palla, My Unit (Ryuu), Nabarl, Rody, Feena, Yumina, Merric, and Linde. I usually like to use a lot of mages, but the mages in this game all have low Mag so far, and not so great speed either. ): I tried training Gordin, but... His speed is turning out too poor. -__-; Too bad a few characters I had on my FE11 team didn't make it in. (Like Ogma, Cain, Minerva... and my healer of choice is a captive in this game, so... OTL) I regret not training Julian this time. He's so necessary for all the chests I'm raiding. Though Marth can also open chests, pffft. That never ceases to amuse me. Hoping I'll finish this before FE13 is released!

Writing-wise, I decided to edit Bittersweet Sweetness. I started rereading from Part 1. |D;; I'm mostly just editing for grammar (and not for content, unless something feels off). I'm probably not going to reupload anything through. I'm thinking of maybe creating a pdf of the story once I finish it if anyone wants a copy. I don't know, haha. But yeah. Don't really feel like going through all three places where I've posted the fic and making replacements. Thinking of doing the same for Memories of the Future too, especially since I don't have copies of all the separate chapters for that fic in one place.

I was going to write a post about anime I'm currently following, but I never did write the post. -__-; Well, here's a short summary.

Yu Wo news to end this post. XD; Kill No More is being adapted into a manhua (heck yeah! dragons! 8D ) that can be ordered online starting 2/1 and Yu Wo will be publishing a new book soon which is scheduled for March. I would translate the title tentatively as "Contract of the Human Doll" or Doll Contract, I guess. It seems to be a horror story that involves ball-jointed dolls coming to life, from what I've read of the story that she's posted online. |D;; Yu Wo likes collecting ball-jointed dolls herself, so I guess that was her inspiration. One of the characters in this (possibly the protagonist) has a left eye that can see the paranormal. :3

Whooooo FE Awakening! I'm ordering the bundle (even though the game comes pre-installed =.=) because it's Cobalt Blue AND has dragons on it. And I don't own a 3DS so that works out. Going to place my order with GameStop today.

... Suddenly I am tempted to be a girl character too, but I just can't. I must always be a guy in games!! XDDD But Chrom and Frederick.... *_* I haven't done much studying at all of the game, but those new classes sound like all times of crazy. Should be interesting to see the game changers, that's for sure. A Dark Pegasus unit might actually mean I would use a pegasus in my game /contemplates

This is ironic, but I was going to put up a post later about FE12 since I got to play six more chapters last weekend (haven't played since before Japan). So I'm on Ch. 18 now :) Ahhh Ryuu... what class is he and what mode are you on? Ryuu is the name of my Sentinel in PoT/FE! \o/ Your team is so well-balanced... and omg, yes, Gordin's speed is terrible. Yet I kept him because he was a higher level than my other units and I was going to make him work ahahahah.

My team is Marth, David (my unit/dracoknight), Frey (dracoknight), Luke, Rody, Cain, Abel, Gordin, Merric, Barst, Nabarl, Astram (if there is room since I just got him)... Julian was on the team until Abel showed up (I was >< at Abel's late join in the game... he's like the Geoffrey of this game joining in at Lv. 1 and all of my paladins and dracoknights were at Lv. 9 and my other units were at Lv. 4). I did change two of my units to dracoknights so that I didn't have six paladins lol. And Sedgar and the gang just showed up so /o\ I think I want him on the team but there's no roooooooom. TT Looking to beat the game before FE13 comes out too! <3

Hymn. <33 LJ has been fairly quiet for me... It's discouraging! Do you use Skype or haunt any other places online?

Ahhhh, I'm a little envious of you! XD; The bundle looks so awesome (would be even more awesome if it came with a physical game instead of being pre-installed through). The 3DS looks beautiful. I really wanted the bundle when it was first announced for Japan. I thought it'd never get released here... So when FE:A got announced for us, I went and bought a 3DS. NOW the bundle is announced too... Darn. Great that things worked out for you. ♥

I was totally going to create a guy avatar again, but then I saw all the confession pics. XDDD Chrom blushing? Hahaha! Oh my.... .\\\. There's also a character called Morgan whose gender depends on the character we create. Morgan's gender is opposite of the avatar's. I'd like Morgan to be male. XD; So... two reasons now for why I'd choose female over male, but I generally would create a male character over a female character too. Broship. XD;; But too bad it's all about marriage and children in this game.

I so hope Soren will be available. I would so download him as use him. <333

I started Ryuu off as a mage (again) but he had terrible growths as a mage. Couldn't help but change him to cavalier later on to help him with his stats. Even as a mage, he was getting points in atk and not mag. XD;; Now he's a dracoknight and much more usable! Poor Ryuu. His weapon levels are not very good since I keep switching him around. His brief stint as a mage in his early career hurt his beginning stats, haha.

Ahahahahaha, your team is ALL guys! Wow. You don't ever use healers? Or pegasus knights, I take it? XD; I was actually surprised I ended up using three pegasus knights this time. I usually use around 1 or so, and I used wyvern riders more (but too bad Minerva already comes pre-promoted this time). I might still train Minerva a bit, even though I usually don't like using pre-promoted units. Flying units are so convenient though! XD; Wow, you have so many paladins. XDDDDDD Without Gordin, now I have no one who can use bows. ): Unless I reclass someone.

Nabarl. <333 There was this one conversation where Feena tried to tie Nabarl's hair in pigtails. Had me in stitches. XD;;

I was playing the game on hard mode, but then it got frustrating, haha. XD; Doesn't help that I have healers and mages on my team with weak defense (...2 defense. What is 2 defense??). I restarted the game on normal so I could more easily finish before Awakening is released. XD; (I still have my save file for my 2nd play through though (the one on hard)).

Sadly, now the game is too easy. XD;;

I KNOW! I totally wanted the physical game ;-; but it's cheaper for me to buy the bundle I think? and it's blue. Blue I tell you! What color of 3DS did you get?

Soren ftw!

It's kind of funny actually since PoT/FE's Wyvern Lord (Kain) eventually gets together with Ryuu (after the most complicated "just friends" miscommunication type relationship development)… and Ryuu means 'dragon' and Kain has an affinity towards dragons. ANYWAYS.

I'm glad that he worked out for you in the end even though it's sad he isn't a mage.

Also funny - my PoR/RD healer was Rhys. My Blazing Sword healer was Lucius/Canas late game (early game was Priscilla). My FE12 healer was Etzel until I got Merric. Man, it's been really rough to use vulnaries (I've never used so many in my life!). I never ever use pegasus knights - I like strengthy units. And guys

I don't like pre-promoted either (which is why Etzel and Astram and Jeorge didn't make the team… and I forgot about Caesar 'cause I had no room). Lol - paladins are my trade. In FE7 - Kent, Sain, Lowen, Marcus; PoR/RD - Oscar, Kieran, Geoffrey, (Boyd partnered Oscar)… I work in pairs and groups of four.
Reclassing is an option for sure - not one I use often because I like them as they are, but I'm sure if I was on a harder mode, I would use it more.

Man, I don't remember that conversation but that's hilarious! Nabarl is just so "Leave me alone to the shadows…" XDD

Yeah, I heard that hard was really hard and normal was really easy. Where is the in-between? I suppose I'm okay since it means that I can get other things done on top of school.

I would like that! ♥ I mostly use Skype for the same actually. To talk with my brother, haha. I'm not on it very often unless someone tells me to get on, oops. |D;; Hm, I only use AIM from the rest, but I haven't been on there in a long time. I'm trying to be a bit more social this year (my only new year resolution XD;; ) but so far I'm already not very sociable...

Yeah, buying the bundle should be a little cheaper. (Pretty 3DS to boot!) I got myself a blue 3DS XL during Black Friday. :) I guess it worked out, since this way I have a physical copy of FE:A so my brother can play it after me.

I knooow right? That pic of Chrom! I think my team for FE:A will probably be half female and half male for the sake of the marriage and kids system. (Though huh, my team for FE12 is pretty much half/half! So I think I'll be fine. XD;; )

I really wanted Ryuu to be a mage, but I guess it wasn't meant to be, haha. His stats are really spread out over all of the different stats. Kind of very average, so nothing particularly weak either. Now that he's higher leveled, things kind of evened out, so it's okay that his stats are so spread out. :3

I used Rhys too. :) Mages that get promoted also doubled up as healers near the end of each game. I believe for FE7 I used Serra, Erk, Canas, Lucius, Priscilla... basically nearly all of the magic users, haha. Oh, but not Nino, since she comes late (I did train her during one play through, but I usually don't). I remember the dodge for that game was quite something, so all of them were good dodgers. :3

Etzel looks cool! I love his monocle. But he's already such a high level. ): I don't think his stats will compare to Merric's by the time I get Merric to his level.

So, so many paladins! XD They don't do well in deserts though, right? XD; For this game, I decided to reclass for the desert level. That was interesting... Also, most of my stronger units are flying units, so I reclassed for the level with ballistas and the fog of war, otherwise I might have been in trouble. XD; I like the characters as their own class though, since it feels like part of their character.

It's one of the conversations at the base! I think it only triggers if you use Feena too. I hope they'll have more conversations in the future. XD Nabarl in pigtails... XDDDDD

Yeah, one time I did the opposite. I started on Normal, felt it was too easy, and decided to restart on Hard. Then it was too hard. XD; Normal is a good degree of difficulty at the moment, since I feel I'm more likely to finish the game now. :3

Rhys is my favorite healer ever. I love that man. Yup - thank the gods too… I would have been a bit screwed on the mission with the dragons and wryms if Merric wasn't able to use staves by then. No one in FE12 dodges lol… I remember being so angry when I just wanted to land a hit in FE7 ><

Right, that's why Etzel's not on the team… :/ My Merric is already a bit ahead of him and he's three levels under him. Darn pre-promotion.

No, they suck at deserts. I was crying in PoR/RD whenever they had to do deserts. Hahaha yes! I reclassed David, Frey, Rody, Luke, and Cain to Dracoknights for that chapter and was like \o/ Then I switched them back except David and Frey so I could have a more "balanced" team. Glad to hear that I'm not the only one that likes to keep them in their class.

I would use Feena if I had room seriously. Or if I had units that didn't move so darn fast through the map.

Haha, no one jumping out at you with their handsomeness? I really like how Gaius looks. I think he's a thief. :3 Libera also looks very beautiful (he might even give Lucius a run for his money XDDD). I hope I'll be able to use a lot of mages in Awakening unlike what happened for me in FE12, haha.

Rhys is awesome! :D Hahahaha, the dodging in FE12 is nearly nonexistent. Some of them are starting to dodge for me though, but still not very often. Oh man, being on the other side of the dodging thing is no fun. Ah, so that was why I stuck to iron weapons for so long in FE7... I was trying to remember why I used iron weapons for a good majority of that game. (While in this game, I didn't stick with iron weapons long)

PoR/RD deserts must have been a pain! I recall they were huge too...

I'm really amused that Feena can use swords. XD; (Apparently, dancers from way back were able to use swords?) Sadly, her strength right now is still very low and I haven't gotten her weapon rank up yet. Otherwise, I think she can even do okay as a fighter. :3 I kind of wish I gave her the boots so she could move farther! I don't think she'd be able to catch up with your units. XD;

I stuck to iron weapons too! In PoR/RD and FE12, I've been using steel (st. lance/poleax) or plain steel weapons the entire time. I am getting towards the end so I should contemplate using silver even though I never use them.

I gave Marth the boots since he must do EVERYTHING in a chapter. My fast units go off in their own group and every else moves along in the direction that Marth will go.

My tastes in characters is very... picky? I like the attractive, short-haired ones or the really BA and intelligent ones. Haha, I thought of Shiraishi too. It's totally the haiiiirrrrrr ;)
Tiamo isn't too much, if that makes any sense? Like she's pretty, but in a more mature, simple way.

FE12 has been mostly steel yes, but I rarely use silver because I feel like they cost too much to break and they don't have many uses and I run into the problem of carrying so much stuff on each character :/

The second time I played through RD, I made sure to not put paladins on the desert mission team in Part 4. XD It's unavoidable I think in PoR. I'm too stubborn.
I had Naesala and Haar and Sothe and Micaiah (but I didn't use her) that could handle the desert. I kept the Greil Mercenaries together. Maaan, I don't remember much about what I did, but I know I tried to put 3-5 of my final party in each team so that they could get experience.

... Marth has to do ALL OF THE THINGS. Crazy Marth. :P

The Book-Off stores in Japan sell used games and he managed to find it during our Tokyo trip XDDD He was looking for the GBA ones, but he does have the NES.
Yeah, I believe it was the one that Shadow Dragon/New Mystery are from, but I'll have to double-check.

Wooo~ YAMAKEN. lol He managed to snag the spotlight in each of his scenes. As far as Kokoro Connect, I felt disappointed with the way Heartseed was handled, too. It would have been nice to see him defeated somehow; it felt anti-climatic. =\ I really enjoyed the relationships between characters, though. Inaba. <3

You're still watching Uchuu Kyoudai! I haven't watched since episode 5. OTL Good to hear it's inspiring - maybe I'll pick it back up one day...

Yamaken. <3333 I didn't think I would like him so much when he first showed up. But by the end, I was anticipating his scenes all the time. Yeah, Heartseed. I was hoping there would be more explained about him so that he didn't feel so random.

Uchuu Kyoudai really grew on me. I remember I first stopped at around episode 4 when I was watching, and then I marathoned a bunch of episodes. Now, I'm following it weekly! There's a good portion of episodes in the middle that just made me keep on watching. :) Really inspiring, and some episodes made me cry. ;___; (Current episodes... cliffhanger after cliffhanger! Gahhh!)
