Recently, Yu Wo announced that No Hero will yet again have an extra volume. It was supposed to end at 7 volumes, but when she wrote volume 7, she was unable to conclude everything in one volume. The same thing happened yet again for volume 8, hahaha, so No Hero will now be 9 volumes long! Each volume features one character on the cover, and the beginning of each chapter has snippets from that character's POV. For the next volume, the character that will be featured was announced to be Daren/Dark Sun's older brother. Well, at least I think he'll be on volume 8's cover. Either that, or he'll be on volume 9's cover. I can see how the word count has once again exploded... After all, a pretty important character popped up in volume 7 for the first time. ^^;; I did think volume 7 was a little messier in its execution, so I'm hoping v8 and v9 will turn out well even though they were both unplanned. XD Hoping for a great ending!

Speaking of endings, the manga for Katekyo Hitman Reborn has ended. Wow.

I did suspect that Reborn was going to end after the Arcobaleno arc, so I was surprised when it seemed like it wasn't going to end right then and there. And then it ended. I'd been following Reborn every week but kind of stopped in the middle of the representative battle somewhere. Hearing that the series actually ended spurred me on in reading the rest of the series.

I teared up a bit. ;__;

Since I knew the last chapter was chapter 409, I kind of read all the chapters leading up to that as an ending arc. As an ending arc to this series, I thought it was apt. The battles weren't the most important. Rather it was Tsuna's growth. We were shown that he's capable of coming up with strategies now, of acting without Reborn. Even against him, in fact, since Reborn kept telling Tsuna that it's impossible this time. Yet Tsuna went out there, gathered everyone, and thought of a solution. You go Tsuna. Look at all those people willing to support you.

The chapters following the end of the battle to the representative battle was, I don't know, so KHR? It gave me a lot of feels. I was definitely hit by nostalgia, reminding me of where KHR had started and where Tsuna had started. He was no good Tsuna who tore off his clothes and ran around in boxers, trying to yell out his confession with his undying will. 400 chapters later, he tries it again but doesn't manage to confess because Tsuna is Tsuna. Of course he'll turn around and save his friends in danger first. And now, he has a lot of friends.

So many friends. ♥

The manga started off as a gag manga. It was SO random. Yet things changed abruptly, and whoa, suddenly there was plot. Characters that seemed like caricatures actually became more. It was pretty amazing just how much KHR had changed in that sense, pretty much completely changing genres. I'd say KHR became pretty epic then. Perhaps people were hoping KHR would go out in a bang, with an adrenaline rush all the way to the end, but what we got was more resolution for Tsuna. He's satisfied with where he is at the moment. It feels like a goodbye to a slice-of-life series, which KHR is and is not at the same time. Well, it was more of a slice-of-life in the beginning until it veered into shounen battle territory, but in the end, this was still mostly about Tsuna's life, wasn't it? And his relationship with his home tutor, Reborn.

I'd say that Checker Face agreed to Tsuna's suggestion a bit too easily considering how the Arcobaleno had been cursed for so long. It feels a bit like a letdown for a resolution, but I wonder how much of that was a time constraint (the manga probably only had a set number of chapters left?), and how much of that was Amano-sensei feeling like it wasn't important to drag things out any more than that. Hm, though based on Kawahira's previous appearance and what little characterization I could gleam from that, I'd say that he's not a bad person and does care. He seemed like a laid back guy. Also convenient for Tsuna that Vindice wanted to help too.

Speaking of loose ends, the one that bugged me the most was Kawahira. So seeing him appear here was cool. I was super shocked though. Anyone else as shocked as I was? -__-; I do think that him appearing here kind of raised a whole new slew of questions, like what exactly is his race and that of Yuni's ancestor's? So I suppose I still don't know who Kawahira is (maybe this loose end hasn't been tied after all), but at least he's no longer merely the ramen guy from the future.

...where was I? So, the KHR ending. Great resolution for Tsuna's personal story. Not so great in terms of the mafia world. People probably wanted badass mafia boss Tsuna, but instead got compassionate yay-for-friends Tsuna who just wants to continue being a normal guy. In terms of epicness, the ending falls short. It doesn't overreach though, so that's good, but I bet many are wishing for a more fleshed out ending that doesn't just focus on Tsuna and Reborn and that does hint at what life is going to be like after this. (I mean like, actually showing us panels about it) I think many might even appreciate a time skip...? I might've liked one even though I usually don't like time skips too much.

So, what's the possibility of KHR returning? KHR will end at 42 volumes. Prince of Tennis also ended at 42 volumes. Then, it returned as "New" Prince of Tennis... XD;;

Despite thinking that KHR was dragging by the Shimon arc, I would still love to see the characters again. Say, their 10 years later selves. For real this time. ;)

I guess here is where I also blab about how and when I got into KHR. I was never actually all that into it. I don't count it as one of my fandoms because I don't talk about it much at all. :3;; I bought five volumes of Reborn when it first came out (well, when there were only 5 volumes out) and only read the first volume. It didn't grab me at all! I was one of those who didn't return to Reborn until after the Reborn hype started. I think that was probably when people started getting into Reborn because of the switch of genres. I usually like gag manga, but the gags in the beginning of Reborn really tired me out... :'( I started liking Reborn a lot more after Dino's appearance. XD;;; I love Dino~ ♥ Well, a lot of that also has to do with how he's voiced by KENN in the anime. XDD I really like Rebocon (the concerts by the seiyuu). I hope another one happens sometime. ♥ I would also love for the last two arcs of the manga to be animated.

ETA: Now I kind of want to write fic of Reborn growing up. With Lambo and I-Pin. OTL

So seeing him appear here was cool. I was super shocked though. Anyone else as shocked as I was? -__-;
The better question, who was not shocked at that part? XD I guess among the 201-409 chapters, that would probably be the most surprising revelation or twist or whatever you want to describe the situation. XD

As much as I also feel that the ending of KHR is coming, I really find the ending too abrupt. Something like, "Meh, your ratings are going down so let's just end it here and Period." I admit that I have lost my interest in finishing the Arcobaleno arc (lol). Arcobaleno arc is a candidate for an epic arc (like, well, the Varia or the Time Skip) but due to the twists and other indescribable stuff happened, it lost to the battle. Oh well, I really felt bad for it.

So many questions are left unanswered.

There were some who speculated that Kawahira's appearance in the Arcobaleno arc was just an excuse in order to create a "surprising" scenario, especially for those who read KHR for a long time (because well, after all, Kawahira rarely appears XD)

There were rumors that KHR's end was supposed in December but lo, it ended an month earlier. XD pff-- yea, Shaman King's ending was really abrupt. XD That really deserved an "Eh!?" expression. XDD

I do not know for some people but my questions are more into relationships among characters. And I am also curious about Yamamoto's father about what he did in the past. XD I had a lot of questions after I read the final chapter but I have forgotten most of them already (maybe once I've finished my assignments, I would probably remember some of them) XDD But yea, in terms of the curse of the Arcobaleno, the explanations are enough. (And Lal is beautiful! X3 *coughs*)

Haha, I still giggle a little whenever I remember that. Next time, if someone said that something will not end on a certain day, it does mean that it will end on a later date. XDD Oh well... I would like to see a special ... or an omake or something. ;_;

We'll probably leave it in the imagination of other fans through fanfiction and doujinshi. XDD

Indeed. *sigh* I still love to see her in her not cursed form.

I was surprised when it ended...I mean I was like: "WHAT!? Only one month of KHR? O_o"

But it seems that the raking were low...Hope that Amano-sensei (after she can have a really good rest...I mean she almost never taked a break) can draw a one-shot were everybody is more grow-up...Maybe in highschool?

I hope they release a novel were more questions are answered...

Lastly, laughed at the "Neo-Vongola" thing...A never-ending for Tsuna XD.

I was surprised by the end of KHR as well! When the 'Tsuna acts as a true mafia boss' chapter came out I was sure the series was coming to an end, but when Reborn shot Tsuna with the Dying Will bullet I thought we were heading for a new arc ^.^;

Reborn has always been a series I think of as 'really good', but it's never given me the same sort of squee I get from even blurry screencaps of TeniPuri stuff :P It would be cool to see a timeskipped 10th gen, though :) And we could always do with more Irie

I only caught up to Reborn a couple of chapters before the end of the arc, so I guess I got there just in time for the end! It definitely felt like it was going into a daily life arc so it was really surprising :P But I can see why the whole Dying Will thing was introduced again. It tied things up really nicely :)

The merchandise out there is really nice, so I wouldn't mind owning some of it, but yeah, TeniPuri's the only thing I stalk news for :P All the Christmas/New Year's merch is going to be the end of me again T.T

Oh, I remember searching the Byakuran panel for Irie and Spanner on that 'I have my friends' page and being really disappointed that we didn't get a last shot of them :( Maybe there will be a spin-off? ahaha
