Too many plotbunnies I want to write. OTL.

I already have two WIPs I'm trying to update in a timely fashion, not to mention all those other WIPs that I've dropped the ball on (like Memories of the Future, even though there are only 9 chapters left for that! I should just sit down one day and finish it once and for all... I received an awesome review for it the other day, and yeahhh, it's been two years since I've updated the fic).

How does my brain respond to this?

...start another fic.

Lucathia wants to write everything. B-But... (I write so slooowly...)

I was digging around my notebook for my notes for Bittersweet Sweetness and saw my scribblings for "My Friend, the Pope," an AU of Legend of Sun Knight I've been wanting to write. I shouldn't have dug those notes up. -___-; In this fic, Roland becomes the Sun Knight while Grisia is trained to become the next Pope.

Have a snippet~. Er, a long snippet, but still not a complete chapter. (OTL, I can't start another longfic! *flails*)

I first met him at the selection for the next Sun Knight. In the beginning, I did not pay him any more attention than I paid the other candidates. We all wanted to become the Sun Knight. That was all I knew about him and the others. However, as both of us were orphans and largely avoided by the other candidates, we soon drifted together. He wasn't someone I normally would have been interested in, but his persistence made it so that I had to acknowledge his presence.

That, and he needed my help.

You would think that his blond hair and blue eyes would be cause for admiration, but it wasn't so among the Sun Knight candidates. Few of the candidates possessed the features of the Sun Knight of legends -- the closest was sandy blond hair and another possessed dark blue eyes, never the right combination -- yet there he was, the spitting image of the dazzling, legendary Sun Knight. All he had to do was smile to complete the picture.

His appearance alone had garnered the attention of all of the candidates. They watched him, hawk-like, waiting to see if he would live up to his appearance, or if he would fail. It was not admiration they regarded him with, but rather jealousy and bitterness over his natural advantage against the rest of us.

I noticed none of this. So focused was I on the various tests administered during the selection that I didn't notice until things came to a head, forcing me to see.

Five against one.

Never would I turn my back on such a situation, but neither had I ever considered that there would be bullies among us. At that time, I immediately jumped in front of him, blocking his bruised body from the other boys. Fury overcame me, and I swore that none of the boys before me would become the next Sun Knight. I managed to take them on and ward them off, but I would soon realize that they weren't going to give up so easily. I hadn't managed to solve a single thing and had only managed to paint the target darker.

When I turned to help him up, I saw that his wounds were more severe than I had thought, but he still tried to smile at me, wincing the moment he attempted to do so. The sweaty hands clasped around mine tightened. I pulled him up, adamant about taking him to see the clerics, but he tugged me back.

I turned.

He introduced himself as Grisia. I told him my name. Roland.

Then, I watched, mesmerized, as he touched his fingers to his face, fingertips glowing, injuries disappearing. Dropping his hands, he looked up at me, bruises completely gone, and smiled widely, dazzlingly, without wincing at all.

Roland POV. ;D Even though this idea came about because I wanted to see what Grisia would be like as the Pope, all of my bullet points deal with Roland being the Sun Knight. LMAO, this bullet point is a thing of beauty:

♥ Roland & Ceo dye their hair together

...I really want to write that. So far, the tone of this fic seems relatively dark though. I wonder how well that'll be received. =x Roland is being so utterly serious at the moment... I don't think this would be a very popular fic. XD Uuuuh, the scope would be a bit smaller than Invincible, but more than... Bittersweet Sweetness. (In that, more time passes and this doesn't follow the novels all that closely, so I have more room to work with. Something happens that forces everyone to work together and meet their new Pope, so we'd be getting thoughts from each of the knights about their Pope) Yeaaah, I don't think I should start writing this, not at least until I finish Bittersweet Sweetness. *continues littering her notebook with ideas*

As for Invincible, I wrote part of the next chapter, but then I rewrote it from another POV, and now I wonder if I should change the POV again. OTL I also need to plan out where everyone is before I delve into writing more. So I started drawing myself a map of the LSK world, and boy, is this hard to do...

There is so much going on in this fic, aaaahhhh. I wonder if I'm being too ambitious with it. This is... a very large cast. Much larger than I've ever written! But of course, some characters will have more of a focus while some play a minor role, or else I'd go crazy. XD;;;

*bounces*

I cannot wait until I get to write Wicked. And Gui. And Arctic Fox. And Adair. And Chasel. Eeeeeee.

Stuff to work on:
Bittersweet Sweetness Part 26 (Legend of Sun Knight)
Invincible, that is the Legend Chapter 2 (1/2 Prince x Legend of Sun Knight)
Entries in a Holy Knight's Journal Entry 5 (Legend of Sun Knight)

Really should update these too:
Memories of the Future Chapter 22 (Mekakushi no Kuni)
He Never Knew Part 6 (Prince of Tennis)
Apple Turnovers Chapter 2 (Prince of Tennis)

Also, finish:
And So They Lived Happily Ever After (Bakuman oneshot)

OTL

Seriously, why do I write so slowly, and why can't I stop starting multi-chaptered stories... I mean, He Never Knew and Apple Turnovers are fairly short. They should be finished by now. =/ I don't see Apple Turnovers being more than 8k long total.

LSDHJGSDHGSHDGSD I really hope you will write that story! I loved the small excerpt you posted, and I've always wondered what it would be like for Roland to be the Sun Knight and Grisia to be the pope. And I love all your Legend of Sun Knight fanfics, so I'm really excited for new chapters :3

Before comment, I want to introduce myself. Hello, I am ZwartWit and apparently I went on comment spree in your journal since I found out you are one of the translator of LSK. Like the comment on public bath break down one. Yeah, that was me.

Ooh, so that's what "My Friend, the Pope" about. At first I thought it was a story about Neo and the current Pope (although I actually doubt Neo would call the Pope 'my friend') XD. I guess this is the AU where Neo didn't ask that one question to Grisia, huh? So Grisia became the Pope and Roland became the Sun Knight...this would made the birth of Demon King even more disastrous for the Church of God of Light O_o

And about Sun!Roland...
Roland doing hair dye with Ceo, Roland smiling everyday, Roland speaking in convoluted style, Roland applying facemask... dear God, this can totally turn into comedic gold. XD

I also wonder how Roland will turn out after ten years of corruptio-*cough* teaching from Neo
