750words, Bakuman ending

I've been trying to write with 750words, a site where the goal is to write 750 words a day. You earn points and badges for writing daily, with points going back to 0 if you break your streak. I've been failing pretty hard, only writing a day here and there. My longest streak so far is two days. >__> The problem with my use of the site is that I write and need to go back and fill in details and description, but once a day ends, the words are then frozen... so I can't go back and add in details. I haven't been able to log most of my words because I end up needing to finish the rest in my own word documents. I suppose the site will be nice to use for slapping down ideas... it's supposed to be like free writing.

750words is pretty cool in that it keeps track of how long it takes you to reach 750 words, how long you spent actually typing, your words per minute, how many times you get distracted... it also gives a rating for the writing (so far, the next part of Bittersweet Sweetness is rated G! XDDD) and 750words tells me that it mostly concerns Religion (haha, it's really not, but I can see why...), with the mood being "upset". XDD The most frequently used word is "his" (orz), followed by "he" and "Adair"... I'm pretty amused because when I wrote Lessons in Demeanor, 750words told me it mostly concerned Religion and Food. XD; I suppose Legend of Sun Knight fics would mostly be analyzed as concerning Religion with how much I throw around the phrase "God of Light"...

I'm not done with part 21 of Bittersweet Sweetness yet, but the words are going to be frozen in less than twenty minutes. =/

I've been skimming over some of my old fics... I really should finish some of my older WIPs... leaving them hanging is such a bad feeling. I might try to poke at one of them along with Bittersweet Sweetness. Need to review canon though...

Aside from fic writing... BAKUMAN HAS ENDED! ;____; I will be very emotional when I read the last chapter, chapter 176. It's great that the series came to its natural ending though, and the series ended on a high note! ♥ Events in the series mirrored real events quite a lot! Aaaand I am so proud of all the characters, omg. They came so far. I'm also very impressed with how Ohba and Obata saw this story through to the end without losing the focus of the story.

edit: Oh? I think the old LJ-cuts are back! I hope it's permanent. :3

I was actually surprised when I read that news about Bakuman but then, like what was pointed out by some readers, Ohba and Obata did a good job to end the manga this time, than making the story longer but will suffer from the plot.

And really, the old LJ-cuts are back? :)) Lol, after all, they received a lot of negative responses. :))

I felt that it was ending, but I didn't think it would end within one chapter! It's the kind of feeling where I wish the series would be just a bit longer, if only by a chapter or two to wrap things up and so that I won't have to say goodbye to the characters just yet. I feel Ohba and Obata sure did their job well if they can make me feel this way. XD;; (unlike some series where people keep wanting the series to end already, but it just keeps going without an end point in sight...). I'll miss the series and the characters, and I guess I'll always be wondering about what happens with some of the side characters, like Shiratori (I don't know if he'll be talked about much at all in the last chapter yet, probably not!).

Yup, the LJ-cuts are back at the moment! My posts suddenly all turned wonky since I had custom CSS, so I took that out, and voila, the old LJ-cuts are back. *___* I hope it's permanent and not just some testing thing that'll get pulled...

Hmm, or maybe, they would release some sort of an epilogue to wrap things up? --' At least, (I think) it is better for the mangaka to know if a reader experiences such kind of feeling than a reader who keeps on praying for the manga to end. :)) I wonder for that but I guess it is probably up to the readers to create a continuation for them ...? :/ (Or at least, that may the mangaka are thinking)


People might give them another round of negative responses if they only did the change temporarily. :)) Unless, they will do what some have suggested ("The scissors + ()" thing)

I wonder if they'll do that. I don't think they did for Death Note? Or did they... I hope we'll get a special chapter or two in the future, or maybe an extra chapter for the tankoubon! But the main story is finished, so yeah... anything else is up to our imagination, I suppose!

Haha, yeah, there'd be a lot of negative responses if LJ revokes the LJ-cuts again. So hopefully these will stay. :3 I don't mind scissors + (), though the scissors are a bit extraneous...

Probably, they will also create a guidebook like what they did in Death Note though I somehow doubt it. ^^"

And the scissors was not helpful for those devices who do not have that font. When I accessed the site using my phone, a small box appeared, not a scissors. >_>

There's already a Bakuman guidebook though! XD; Unless they release another guidebook that covers the rest of the series that wasn't in the first guidebook. :3

What font was it anyway? It isn't a smart idea to use an uncommon font. ):

Ah! The 750 words website! I did that in November NaNo since I knew I'd be writing lots everyday... and then I accidentally missed Day 28 and there went my goal to get the 1-month badge. =.= I haven't picked it up since because I had a week or so off and then Hetalia, January sorta off, Feb was NaFE but I was started splitting between computer and writing journal... Yup...

BUT THE BADGES ARE SO COOL! I hope you enjoy that site and all of its fun stats.

I don't follow Bakuman, but it's nice to know that a great series ended well (that's always the best!). Whooo \o/

I do most of my writing on the computer, so I thought 750words would work well for me! But a lot of my writing is expanding on scenes I've already written... which doesn't lend to using the site very well. ): I could post the finished writing on the site, but then there'd be lots of repeated passages too, so the stats wouldn't be right (and it would be off about how long it takes me to write 750 words too). I thought about using it for NaNo last year, but I didn't actually try out the site until last month. :3

Awww, you were so close with the 1 month badge! The stats are very fun. I'm very amused by the rating and the analysis of what the writing is mostly concerned about.

I just read the last chapter today! ;____; I'm still sad it ended. The last chapter was pretty much like expected, and the characters went through a lot to get to this point. I still wish the ending were just a bit longer!

You know, I often have the same problem of wanting to add in details later, but what I normally do is write in advance and paste in as I go. I have issues writing 750 at one time and if I don't do it all at once, I forget.

I don't want to break my streak. I'm at 106 days in a row. I'm so close to my pterodactyl. :D

Wow, 106 days! *___* I will be happy if I can reach a week at the moment. :3 I've been starting a lot of days... but I haven't been finishing them even though I have been writing, just not on the site since a lot of it is expanding on previous scenes and editing. And then I forget to finish my words...

I'm aiming for a longer streak this time though! So far, I've only finished two days in a row... Such a sad attempt!

I'm doing okay but probably not as on task with everything as I should be, both offline and online. Motivation, I seriously need it! Only a month and a half left! Wow! Do you have any more observations left? Will you be getting your credential right after? :3

I'm trying to get into a habit of writing daily, but it's so hard. I'll be bringing my notebook with me when I substitute at a middle school tomorrow. Hopefully I can do some writing during my prep period if I have one! 750words is neat. It might work better if I had a smartphone so I could type away when I'm away from home too. :3
