If you don't like LJ's new lj-cut look, adding this to your custom CSS will restore the old lj-cut look. Thanks velessa, for pointing this out! Original CSS supplied by zweiundzwei.

.ljcut-link { color:transparent; margin-left:-25px; }
.ljcut-link:before { content:"( "; color:#000000; padding-left:25px; }
.ljcut-link:after { content:" )"; color:#000000; }
.ljcut-link a { margin-left:-25px; }

I immediately tossed the coding into my CSS box. :D You can edit spacing as well as the color of the parentheses.

I don't quite remember what color they were in the first place. Black? Was definitely a dark color for me! But if you have a dark layout, then you probably need a light color.

I went with the gray font I have, but now I feel as if the space between the words and the parentheses are too big. Did you have to change your parameters?

I haven't changed mine yet because I wasn't at home, so I just tossed this up as it was. Now that I'm home, I think the left spacing is a bit larger than I want! (Or maybe my browser just displays it differently? I thought it looked fine before. :3;;;) I'll probably try to tweak it.

To get the spacing a bit more even!

This is so useful! Thank you bb! I like the scissors bit, but I don't like it without brackets. Makes it look like a hyperlink :(

Yeah, I felt the cuts looked like hyperlinks without the parentheses. Maybe I would have gotten used to them eventually? In any case, I like parentheses a lot since they feel like an aside to me.

But I see that people are already doing fake cuts with the new look. I was thrown back when I saw it appear on my friends' list since I thought I had customized my css already. XD;;
