I started reading No Hero. Watch, I'll be done with it before the end of the week, and then I'll go into withdrawal (especially since finishing No Hero will mean that I've finished reading all of Yu Wo's works DDDDD: ). I've kind of been saving it because I don't want to run out of things to read... but perhaps I'll start on Yu Wo's writer friends' works.

I enjoyed No Hero from the start. It's first person, much like 1/2 Prince and Legend of Sun Knight. No Hero is a sequel to Eclipse Hunter, though No Hero can be read without reading Eclipse Hunter, and when No Hero first came out, there were actually only Yu Wo's self-published versions of EH around (there weren't many copies because of that!). Now, EH has been officially mass-released and is easier to find.

No Hero's interesting in that it takes on an outsider POV... with the main character being the outsider. XD; (If you've read EH though, you'll actually know more than the protagonist for quite a while, otherwise you're figuring things out with him. Pretty fascinating to see EH characters from his POV). While Legend of Sun Knight deals with overturning cliches about knights, No Hero is about doing the same with heroes. We're slowly introduced to a group of heroes as our protagonist meets them one-by-one, but the protagonist is not one of the heroes. The protagonist is a vampire. Who wants to be a butler. He does finally manage to become someone's butler, a hard feat because people rarely believe a vampire truly wants to be a butler, and when people do hire him, they end up using him as a hitman, which is not what he wants to be hired for. (He is a butler, not a hitman!)

As one of Yu Wo's 1st person POV protagonists, ZhaoSuo is a lot more serious than either Lan or Sun, haha. Being in his thoughts... is quite like what I feel being in Frankenstein's thoughts would be like (from Noblesse) because of how much he takes care of his master. Is this also what it'd be like to be privy to Adair's thoughts... XD;;

Mm, gotta tackle some proofreading for [livejournal.com profile] sencha_kt before I can read more! [livejournal.com profile] sencha_kt has been amazing and is helping finish up old PairPuris for [livejournal.com profile] fanbook, like all those pages with tons of technical terms. :3 I came home to four new pages of translations! XD; Soon, we might even see completed translations for all of PairPuri 1, all of PairPuri 2, and so forth... *____* Mmm, completion~

Can't wait for your next update. Sadly, as I love Yu Wo's novels, I only have access to read half prince and sun knight at prince revolution. So, I am really happy to hear this from you. Thanks...

wow, I'm so glad to find a site that love Yu Wo's work just like I did. I waited for many month to have a new translation but still there isn't that I even have to force myself to read google translation that sometimes it doesn't make sense but at least I manage to grasp the point of the story till the end('-')... Yu Wo's work is posses and amazing plot that you sometimes wonder what will happen next and funny lines that make me roll over my bed or laugh out load even if I'm alone in my room, it make you crave for more. Hope you can add me as one of your friends because I really like your site, thank you.
