Anime Expo hotel update

My friend and I are still looking for female roommates! We're looking for at least 1 to 2 people, preferably 2, who are staying for all four days (6/30, 7/1, 7/2, 7/3).

ALTERNATIVELY, we can also take people who are only staying on day 0 (6/30) or day 3 (7/3). Our room is fairly full on the middle two days but very empty on day 0 and day 3! We're not in need of more roommates for the middle two days.

If you are in need of a room or know someone in need of a room for all 4 days or for 6/30 or 7/3 only, I would love it if you (or any other potential roommates) contacted me either by leaving me an LJ comment on this post or the post in the link below. =;__;= Oh noes, I just found out I have two friends looking for a partial room, but for days 1 & 2 (exactly when you don't need people) .__. ~ they said Day 1 especially... but... yeah... ^^;;;

Are they still looking for a place? (And are your friends female? XD; We've gotten some guys but we turned them down). I think we're pretty desperate... we were just hoping to find people rooming for 4 days instead of those middle two days since if we take on people for the middle two, we probably won't be able to take on anymore people for the full four days because the middle two would be crazy. XD; We have a very big room with two bathrooms though, so space would not be a problem if they don't mind the ground (and paying around $60 for their two days). I'm just not sure how keys work, because I'm afraid we might not have enough for everyone! Do you know if hotels allow extra keys (maybe for a fee?)

But yeah... I'm going to ask gem2niki if we want to change our minds about those two middle days, that is, if your friends are still looking! But gosh, it sounds like we're going to have this huuuuge room all to ourselves for day 0 and day 3, haha...

Hm, okay, after some discussion, we're still going to see if we can find ourselves two people for the full four days. If your friends are still looking, they should only think of us as possible backup since we're not quite sure how our situation is going to turn out yet!

From a frequent hotel organizer's prospective, I think that's a better plan ^^; ~ I think they're ultimate plan is to commute, so it's not too big of a deal if they aren't able to get a room. (It's just a long night followed by a long commute, which they are hoping to avoid.) I'll let them know, though. They're both girls.

:3 Typically with room keys, I pick out the pairs in the room (since usually people stick together in groups of two or three) and give that pair a key. You can also say you "lost" your key and need another one, and they usually will give you one without deactivating the old one. (We've done this many times, though more unintentionally than not.) You definitely don't want to ask for extra keys (and there wouldn't be a fee or anything anyway) - there are fire marshal rules about having too many people stay in a room, so having more than 4 is a sort of keep-it-quiet thing. (The hotels more or less operate on a "don't ask don't tell" policy.) XD;

Oh okay! Hm~, our hotel isn't right next to the convention center, so I'm not sure how much more convenient it'd be versus commuting, but I suppose it'd still be better than a long commute home after a tiring day. I'll let you know if we still seem to have room later! I'm hoping we'll be able to find someone for all four nights though.

Yeah, with our current amount of people, we should have enough room keys since we'll be in 2~3 groups. Haha, the hotels must know people cram a lot of people in these rooms during convention time. Truly a don't ask, don't tell, huh? XD;
