So I saw [livejournal.com profile] cairnsy mention this... =P

Five Acts

How to play:

+ Post a list of your five favorite acts/kinks to read about. At the bottom, add what fandoms/pairings you're interested in. (Sign up at the link above!)
+ Read other people's lists; the master list of lists is here.
+ Post comment-fic based off of other people's interests.

This runs until January 13th~, but I believe you can still continue posting fic after the 13th.

My list of favorite acts/kinks (I like gen over pairing fic):

- Reconnecting with family: I quite adore it when someone bonds with their family (it doesn't necessarily have to be "reconnecting" if they were never estranged. I love it even more when redemption is involved.
- Secrets: Agonizing over keeping the secret, fallout after the secret comes out, listing reasons for why something has to be kept a secret, lying to oneself, trying to be truer to oneself...
- Crossovers: I don't know if it'll be easy to cross over any of the series below, but I adore crossovers and imagining how one character might react to another from a different series, or how one character might have to adapt to a different situation.
- Mistaken identity: I quite like a dose of dramatic irony too when we know more than the characters. :D
- Crossdressing: Especially for the sake of going undercover. (And I like it when someone looks handsome/beautiful crossdressing)

Fandoms/Characters/Pairings: (I'll just list my favorite characters from these... these are not pairings, and oops, this got a little long. *lists some more since a lot of them are so obscure*)

You are like...the only other person that I know that's read Havemercy, much less heard of it.

FLAILING SO MUCH RIGHT NOW. AAAH! SO MUCH STUFF TO WRITE! SO MANY IDEAS!!

(ahahaha~ I just got a non-sensical crossover idea. No explanation for how they end up in the same place together, just two characters talking. Though, *checks* whoops, one of the character's isn't listed. XDD;;)

Oh! Your list just inspired me to double the length of mine! You can never provide too many prompts, right?

Dino! There is just not enough fic out there about him (as opposed to a lot of DinoxHibari fic which is generally about Hibari, with Dino just there for the ride). He WOULD look interesting in a dress...

Sigh! Sun used a hand to clasp the collar of his cloak tighter around his neck, keeping the hood secure and up. It wouldn't help with everything else, but it made him feel better.

Why was he, the Sun Knight, chosen for this particular mission? Couldn't they have chosen someone else? Surely there was one person more qualified to do this than he was! But the Pope had been adamant that he go, stating dribble about 'no-one else finding out' and 'utter secrecy' and 'it would be faster if you were to do it'. Sun definitely agreed on the first two points, but not so much on the last one.

Now, where was that entrance...

"Miss?" someone called out behind Sun. "Miss?"

Sun froze, hand tightening further. Slowly, he turned around, frantically trying to see the person without revealing his face. This was such a stupid mission! He was going to get caught straight away!

The woman in front of him was shorter than him, had long, straight brown hair that matched her eyes. She was also twice his age, so he didn't bother recording her. What caught his attention was the fact that she was wearing the same cloak as he was, from the clasps right down the stitching of the bottom hem.

Seeing him turn around, the woman smiled. "Pull down your hood," she said, a firmness in her voice that expected to be obeyed. "The sun is out so there's no need for it."

Hesitantly, Sun reached up, his heart beating like the hooves of a stampeding horse, and with the edge of the hood in two hands, he brought it back, watching the woman's face for the second that she recognised him. His teacher was going to send him to the God of Light when this reached his ears!

As expected, the woman's eyes widened at the sight of him. "Ah," the woman sighed, putting a hand up to her cheek, "you really are pretty."

What? Sun gaped her (not very elegant of him, he knew, but in that situation he could be forgiven for doing so, especially as he wasn't walking around as the Sun Knight) as she closed the gap between them and started running her fingers through the hair that had escaped the confines of the hood.

"It's as if you were touched by the God of Light," she murmured. "And your dress really brings out your eyes." Taking a step back, the woman then eyed him critically. "We may have to give you something to accent your features, something around your hair, but, yes, you will be a good addition." She turned away. "The entrance is only in the other street. Come along."

Sun stared at her, wide-eyed, in utter disbelief about what had just happened. Maybe this could work? He just prayed to the God of Light that the rest of the mission would go so smoothly!

*grins*

I was going to possibly give him a wig, and then I remembered how ridiculously long his hair is. XDD And when I was writing about the dress, I thought back to the manhua and went, 'Waaaait, his regular stuff is rather flowing and dress-like too, isn't it? ... Trousers. He wears trousers under them, right??'

I kept skipping over 'crossdressing' somehow (I think because there isn't an un-bolded line between it and 'mistaken identity', so I kept thinking there was only four acts.

I completely mistook Sun's identity when he was wearing the Dragon’s Saint Brigandine in the manhua. XDD *facepalm* And then there's the side story with Georgo and Grisia! Eeeeeeee!

Ooooo, there's a 'Moon' Knight too? Kinda surprising they aren't the leader, so then it's the Sun and Moon opposite each other. But Judgement does also make sense. :3

"Yaaargh!"

Huh? Lan watched as the human charged forward, a sword raised high above his head, and then proceeded to hack at Doll's last flame skeleton. Well, he tried, but his swordwork was absolutely terrible.

Lan was surprised five minutes later that he hadn't impaled himself yet, but maybe his high level equipment had something to do with it. It was light, bright, fluttery, and Lan had begun to wonder if the wings on his back were more decorations, or if she was wrong, and the player wasn't human, but was of the celestial race. But he was definitely at least a he, if his battle cry was anything to go by, though the sheer length of his hair was enough to cast doubt on that.

After an elaborate, drawn out fight (it seemed like he was tapping the skeleton when he actually scored a hit, and when he'd been hit back, it apparently sent him sprawling - Doll's skeletons were not that strong), the player sheathed his sword and turned towards them, a wide smile on his face as he wiped the sweat from his forhead. Huh, Lan guessed he hadn't heard or seen the notification about his drop in repuation.

"Sun is pleased to see that the God of Light's children were not harmed by the hated undead!"

Ah. Holy paladin then.

Well, it's a lot closer than what everyone else has guessed what Sun was, so it's good, right?

... I actually didn't catch that when I wrote this! XDDD

I was going to have a conversation where Sun is all surprised that they don't know what the Sun Knight is? What about the God of Light? No?? Where is he?? I didn't write it because I'd have to explain how the heck Sun got into Second Life and I didn't have an explanation for it. Except I have one now: the God of Light did it. omg. XDD Craaaaaaaack.

Yup!

It's so hard to have any crossover with 1/2 Prince make sense! D: Not unless it went like it did in Tsubasa, where they get put into the game before they get their bearings or something, but since they'd have to be sleeping and make their character, they'd still know they were in a game and why would someone put a gaming headset on their heads in the first place? Someone thought that it'd be good to pull them out of a coma? ... Well, maybe? I'm starting to think about a .hack//sign and 1/2 Prince crossover again.

Awww, but then Sun wouldn't really be Sun. XDD
