Professor Layton x Gyakuten Saiban

My f-list has exploded with this news. Official site & trailer. I'll be keeping an eye on this and will probably try playing Professor Layton sometime. I usually never buy consoles right when they come out, but 3DS is looking alluring now...ahhhh, I wonder when I'll get to play this.


I very much LOVE animated Maya. So cute!

I've been seeing it crop up a lot on my FList as well.

I can has excitement for this. This might actually make me man(figuratively) up and get past the circus case in Justice for All and burn through the rest of the Ace Attorney games.

I totally recommend the Professor Layton series. Of course I'm a huge puzzle nerd so take it as you will. xD;

I was intrigued by Professor Layton before. Now I have even more incentive to check it out. I know my brother has the first game...gotta borrow it. XD; I quite like puzzle games. :3

I've played the 1st one. It was pretty good and lemme tell you, some of those puzzles are frickin' hard, so it's not like it's completely easy. That's what'll make this crossover so cool...*A*

That's a funny source. XD I've been reading reactions to this all day today though, and some people were comparing this crossover to the Conan vs Lupin crossover, and they even said that throwing Conan in the mix here would have been amusing too. XD

The DS has a lot of cool games. *___* And, wasn't there some kind of sequel to Golden Sun on the DS too? (I haven't finished the 2nd game though and don't know where my game went...)

Gifs are fun. XD Icons would probably have been smarter since these are huge!

I knoooow~ As far as I can tell, the PSP only really has two good games (Crisis Core and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep [which I haven't played yet]) and the DS has... tons. Waaa~ ;___; I think it may be one of the things I'll be buying once I get some money. :3 And a whole bucketload of games because there's so many I want to get!

Yeah, the next in the series for Golden Sun comes out on the DS but it's the next generation. Still. Waaaaant.

I still only have around 5 games or so for the PSP. I haven't completely finished any of them. I'd so buy KH: Birth by Sleep...if only I actually played KH and KHII. I have both of them in English and Japanese (the version with English dub). Really need to find time to play them. XD; If you're thinking of buying a DS one day, you might want to wait for the 3DS. I think it's backwards compatible? I'm not sure though. :3 I don't know if I can buy it right away. So expensive. aklsdf; I already see a lot of ports lined up for it...I wonder if they have any of games I want to play but never bought. I think it's mostly games I want to play, have bought, but still haven't found time to play. XD;

Yeah, the PSP sadly doesn't have that many new games I'd play, hence why my collection is so small. =(

Ahhhh, yay, that makes me happy. I'm glad I didn't buy a DSi yet, though I was considering it if I needed it to play the new Fire Emblem DSi game. I'm sad it's not region free though since I import a lot of Japanese games for the DS. ): Time to save up money! \o/ I should probably wait until they come out with a better and sleeker version like they always do with consoles though. I wonder if I can hold out. XD

So effing excited. The Professor Layton games are great and really make you think. I've only played the first Phoenix Wright, but it took me a dreadfully long time. Text-based legal action isn't my thing, but I think Level5 & Capcom have, I think, merged the two in a way that will keep me interested.

More reason for me to play Professor Layton! I'm borrowing the first game this weekend. :D If they were hoping to promote either series with this, they succeeded with me, haha.

Aw, hm, if the action in the first game wasn't your thing, then it's probably the same for the rest of the games since they're very similar. But Ace Attorney Investigations is slightly different and deals with the investigations part instead. Maybe you'll like that more?

My roommate has told me I'll like Investigations a lot. (Plus there's a lot of Gumshoe, and I love that guy.) I might give it a try once I finish up the newest Professor Layton. :D

I haven't seen a cast list around yet, but I really want to know too. I only know it's not Kondo-san.

I feel like I've heard his voice before. I can't identify it though. Some people on Nico Nico are guessing Maeno Tomoaki, I think. I don't know his voice very well.

Yeah, I could tell it wasn't Kondo-san either. Kondo-san has a slight lisp to his speech. It's too bad, I liked his Naruhodo and it would've been nice to hear him in these cut scenes. Sadness.

Guess we'll have to wait for the big reveal.
