Fire Emblem Shin Monshou no Shou

Eee, new Fire Emblem game! Though technically not a "new" game since it is a remake of the third game (sequel to Shadow Dragon) but I've yet to play it even though I bought the Virtual Console version, so all's good for me.

I like this artwork of Marth. <3 This game introduces..."my unit" where you can design one of your own units. I'm trying it out right now...it feels kind of weird. |D I made mine a guy with teal colored, sort-of-long hair, and I named him Ryuu. And, I chose the mage class for him since I do love my mages. I also made him an orphan...poor guy.

Hm, right now, I'm in the prologue stages, training with the rest of squad 7 in Marth's army. Jeigan, Shiida, and Kain have all come to oversee their work. Nice to see some familiar faces already. I quite like Luke, one of the knights, because he's a brash character and he's named Luke. |D He was joking about how he needed some romance (and a pretty Sister to help heal his wounds). When Katalina ran in saying she found a healer for them, Luke was all :D until the healer turned out to be this guy. LOL. Luke has also named my character Futsuu Ryuu. ): Normal Ryuu...what a boring nickname!

Anyway, I'm still in the prologue chapters that I think are probably new to this DSi version. Wonder when I'll get into the main story. There also exists an option to let dead characters come back without disappearing forever. This is a first. 0____0;; First making our own unit, now this??

I played through the prologue chapters and chapter 1 yesterday. It's so weird to play as my own character, but it's also kind of refreshing for a Fire Emblem game. You get to choose out of a few backgrounds and personalities for your character. I chose "orphan", so I was a bit surprised when my character started sharing his history with Jeigan. I wonder if the personalities affect their speech. :3

Kain looks really cool in this! I think everyone looked cooler, even Gordon. XD

Gordon too? I really need to play it xD! ah but my Flash card are discontinued and the new games don't work in it... i hope the game coming in america soon...

I found really good the option for make a unit, jeje sounds interesting (and more if you need a class and the character of that class are not of your like xD), oh well i wait impatiently for the game x3 (and i hope a remake of FE 6!!)

Hm, does FE6 need a remake? It's recent enough unlike FE1 and FE3. XD; FE6 needs to be released in English though. =/

Sadly, I know the story already and one of my favorite characters gets like...raeped by the storyline, BUT THAT'S OKAY. I am still super excited. Thanks for sharing; this made my day. :D

So far, Marth doesn't feel like the main character with the addition of this my unit character. I don't know what changes they've made to the storyline, but I guess it should be mostly the same? Sad that you already know the story. ):

But yay, new Fire Emblem game makes me happy. ^__^

It's a DSi game and was just released in Japan on July 15th. I'm hoping they'll be releasing this in the US!!
