in progress cosplay (Ema)

- I still haven't made a purple vest yet, so I grabbed a random vest of mine. This vest makes me look Western (is what my dad said, haha).
- I grabbed my blue tie for Tadase because the tie I bought was too huge for me. I need to resize the pink tie I bought and paint horizontal orange stripes on it.
- My sunglasses aren't pink. ): What to do?
- My pink dress shirt is way too tight for me. :'D I need to buy a new one. OTL.
- My socks were way too tight at the top, so I took the top part off...now it keeps falling. XD; My thighs are pretty fat compared to the rest of my leg though...I should do thigh exercises.
- I still need to make her purse...
- I might need to buy brown boots, but I'll probably just go with my brown shoes for comfort. It's hard to tell what her shoes should look like from the game art.

Hm, still a long list of things to do. :3 But the above pic is pretty much how I'll look like at Fanime and AX, though I'll probably be wearing slightly different socks each day. :) It's too bad my other socks aren't as long, but it's better to have fresh socks each day!

I look passable as Ema, yeah? XD; My dad said that this outfit's so much more practical than all my previous ones. XDD Well, yeah, these are real clothes, haha.

Very short shorts. I also bought another pair that's slightly longer, but it's...tighter around my waist. 0___0;; This one feels more comfortable, but they're a little too short.

...we're going to do tons of walking (especially at Las Vegas)! Hah, but you never do all that much walking at Fanime...

I think I've heard of people using a pink sharpie to color the sunglasses but.. I don't know how that works. Excited to see you at AX! *A*

I could possibly do that. XD; I don't plan on seeing out of these sunglasses since they'll be perched on top of my hat. Maybe paint...?

Ema~♥ It's looking good. If I could send over my pink sunglasses I would since it's summer right now and every shop has sunglasses in every shape and color.

I've gone to so many shops, but I haven't seen any sunglasses with pink lenses. If I could get pink lenses, I could...I don't know, spray paint the frame white to make it fit. XD; I don't think the opposite works. I bought this pair of white framed sunglasses, but there's not much I can do to make the lenses pink unless I render the sunglasses not usable. XD

Well, apparently it's because of the sudden popularity of Korean fashion here, so they have some impossibly cool options like patterned thigh highs and striped socks when they never stocked them before. The sunglasses I have are kinda pinkish red with red frames, but we were also thinking of spray-painting to make them more Ema-ish!

I see~. I've seen more and more long socks here too, but there aren't that many thigh highs around yet, at least none in this color. I had to buy this pair off the internet. Patterned thigh highs sounds really cool.

Are you making them more Ema-ish for fun, or is there an Ema cosplay in the works? :3

It's funny because I'm sure I bought my sister a pair of socks just like the ones you have, I should check her closet later.

We were thinking of having an Ema and Ema cosplay (both AJ and PW versions) but then I told my sister I want to cosplay the Blue Badger now~♥

I don't think my socks look exactly like Ema's, but I can't tell since the pic of Ema in the guide only goes up to her shorts. Okay, sounds like I should envy you for your sock selection too. XD;

Ema + Ema cosplay would have been fun to see! But the Blue Badger is even funner. Are you really going to cosplay the Blue Badger? The...original one? Not the Proto Badger, I hope. XD

Yeah, the pictures don't help much because the sprites are just so tiny!

Actually I can't decide between the blue Badger and freaking everyone out with the Proto Badger. Being the Blue Badger means I have to do the dance orz.

I think her socks are a darker purple with light pink (like her shirt in that middle picture for her), but I haven't been able to find thigh highs with that color. I have all sorts of pink and purple socks now though. I'll wear an assortment of them. XD

...Proto Badger would be new. I've seen the Blue Badger and the Pink Badger done before. Having someone in a Proto Badger outfit staring at me with those eyes... 0____0;; MAN. It's worth doing. XD;

But the dance must be fun too.

I wanted to cosplay her because I liked her hat and socks. 8D The hat is cute! Too bad I don't have too many clothes that go along with it. :3
