I haven't checked my hotmail for the longest time, but I checked it today because my dad sent something there (he needs to stop sending stuff to that email!). In addition to my dad's email, there was an email asking me to finish my Shaman King fic, Hoshi ga Hoshii desu. That email was sent to me just yesterday saying that I hadn't updated in two years.
That was a blast to to past. XD; I've actually finished the fic 5 years ago, so saying that I hadn't updated in two years made me tilt my head a little. The fact that the email was sent to hotmail also made me a little confused, since I don't use hotmail with ffnet or AO3 or LJ. Until I remembered that I also uploaded the fic onto Mediaminer, but I gave up doing that since I never visit the site myself. I did indeed use hotmail with Mediaminer. :'D
...I still can't believe I finished that 45 chapter fic in 1 year. I can't imagine doing something like that now. My fic productivity decreased after I started this LJ even though this was supposed to be a "fic journal". :') I used to only be able to connect with other fans through writing fics, but on LJ, I found other ways to connect with fans in communities and personal journals. Now I'm pulled in all sorts of directions with translations, TCGs, random fangirling...this journal kind of fails at being a fic journal. I'm also more aware of all the faults in my writing, so I hesitate to put fics up until I'm more or less satisfied with them (which is rarely). Nowadays, if I can write something and finish it within two months, I'd feel accomplished, haha.
The only fic I'm truly working on at the moment is Memories of the Future, a Mekakushi no Kuni fic. I'm writing to such a small fandom, but everyone's so kind and patient. <3 I've taken years to write this fic, and
30_kisses, the challenge community I'm writing this for, has been passed through so many hands already. I think the last moderator has stopped moderating the community...but I'll see to the end of this fic still. I've also written quite a few Phoenix Wright fics for the kink meme, but I almost never finish them. .____.;; I wish I could. =/
Hm, more people seem to be reading Give Me Your Hand lately (Yankee-kun to Megane-chan fic). I wonder what brought this on. XD; The new drama? Or have there been newly translated chapters? Or dare I think someone recced this? XD; I hope the scanlations catch up soon. Volume 15 and 16 are so squee-worthy, but I have no one to fangirl over them with.

Date: 2010-05-02 05:54 am (UTC)XD I had someone going pretty much 'omg you haven't updated in five months so go update now!' Except... the fic was last updated three years ago and the review was on ff.net, so the date was right there. O.o

Hm, I have 9 chapters left to write of Memories of the Future. I've been writing this fic since...2006, gosh. XD; It's at 21 parts now. I started the fic for the
I think, when I've finished...I'll work on that Hikaru no Go/Yu Yu Hakusho crossover that never saw the light of day. XD; I also have to finish Twin Stars one day. I wonder if that's possible. :') I'm so out of touch with SK characters!

Date: 2010-05-02 07:48 am (UTC)Nah, it wasn't a finished fic, that's why they were
orderingtelling me to update. I think, wherever they're from, the order of the date is different - but that still doesn't explain missing the year though.*jumps for joy* Yey for the crossover!\o/ XD It's been nearly/over three years since you've first thought of that.
