kedi_kedi, himilika, revenus, I've received your cards! Thank you so much. ♥ I actually received them much earlier this week, but I've been fretting over yuletide. XD;

I finally, finally got my Yuletide story done this morning and uploaded it to AO3. I was reviewing the canon all weekend and gave up doing that halfway through because it was taking too long. I did note down a lot of things I would have overlooked if I hadn't reviewed the canon again though, so I'm glad I did! I'm still trying to get used to Archive of Our Own. I started reuploading some of my fics there, but it's pretty time consuming to do. I think the archive is a great idea...I hope it catches on. Currently, it loads pretty slowly, but that might have to do with the yuletide rush.

Yuletide Madness this year will be open to anyone who has an AO3 account already! You don't have to already be a Yuletide participant. Yuletide Madness is when all the leftover prompts from the 2000+ participants are all up for grabs on the 23rd to 24th or so, and people write short ficlets like stocking stuffers. XD; If you're free on the 24th and want some entertainment, consider joining the madness. XDDD

I'm not sure how the leftover prompts will be displayed this year (something about people previewing prompts through yuletide letters...oops, I haven't written one this year...), but I'm looking forward to it~

:D Okay, I'm interested in trying this out, omg. What do I have to do? Just join AO3, look at the available prompts (actually say you're taking it?) and then start writing?

There's a queue for joining AO3, but I think if you join the queue now, you might get your account before the 24th. On the 23rd/24th (depends on when the mods figure out what's leftover!), the leftover prompts will go up and you get to write for any prompt you want at all. You don't have to claim it. You just upload like crazy after you're done, because everything's due before the 25th, I think. XD; I'm hoping things will be on schedule, but this is the first time Yuletide's being held at AO3, so things might not run so smoothly.

I plan to write some short drabbles when Yuletide Madness happens. :3 It'll be lots of fun~. I hope there are prompts in fandoms I can write on the spot. XDDD

Even if you don't do Yuletide Madness, AO3 seems to be a pretty cool archive. It's still small at the moment, but I think it'll grow a lot.

XD I think I'll just use it for the yuletide stuff, because I've got too many wips and when I started uploading on another site, I wanted to start editing them and, well, that would h ave taken ages.

Well, I hope we'll have more than the Dear Yuletide letters to find prompts with, because going through all those letters would be very difficult. :O But if you want to have a little more time than one day to tackle prompts, I guess the spreadsheet of the letters gives everyone a head start. :3 (and eee, I see someone who requested Kimi to Boku!)

I'm only going to upload completed works over there, and the one work that I'm focusing on. XDD All the other WIPs are going to stay where they are...since they're far from finished. It does take a while to reupload everything (I found myself rereading and editing so much). It's cool that they have an interface that lets you import your works though! I imported 45 chapters all at once. XDDD Had to edit all my notes out though because they have a box for notes that's separate from the actual fic.

Prompts for people who haven't gotten a story yet are already up. I think prompts from everyone might be up after everyone gets at least one story...I wonder if anyone requested 1/2 Prince! I nominated it as an obscure fandom and also offered to write it, but I didn't request from it. |D

Or did you find someone who requested it from the letters? :3 If you're writing a treat for them, I think you can post it to the collection just like that. Tag it with the series, and a section for the series will automatically be created. They have tag wranglers who take care of everything else.

If you're not posting for Yuletide, section creating still works the same way. Just tag it with the series and it'll eventually end up in the right place. :3

*whoops* *reads them* Wow, I only recognised three of them. And it's been a couple of months since I've looked at Arc the Lad so I don't think I'd be able to keep the charactisations right. And the others were asking for relationships. D: eeeeee...

XD I hadn't read any of them yet - I was just looking on the AO3 categories.

Well, I did make a psudoname (after throwing one out because it was a little obvious is was me, and the second one because it would have been HARD to find that name as a name) but it'd be really obviuos is was me if you suddenly got a 1/2 Prince fic from someone. XD

Is there a way to hide the gift until the reveal or...?

In any case, all stories will be automatically anonymous if you post it to the yuletide collections (1000 words plus go in the yuletide collection, less than 1000 go in the madness collection).

I'm browsing the prompts list from all the participants. It's taking me a long time to read it. XD; I hope I can write some short ficlets tomorrow for this. (Problem is, the plunnies don't want to stay short!)

*gets my glee on* :DD I posted - and there was already a category for 1/2 Prince. Which means there's other fic for 1/2 Prince! *glee* *glee* I wanna reeeeead it. :D ... Yeah, I might be a little... hyper from lack of good sleep. ^ ^;;

XD I gave up after getting through the 'a's and then saw just how far up the scroll bar still was.

I copied down some prompts that I might try...but with only one day left to go, I'm not sure how much writing I'll get done tomorrow. Oh well...if I don't make this deadline, I can still post it as a New Years resolution fic.
