lucathiaI am on such a Tenipuri phase right now.
...actually, this phase started back in March. Now, it's just even stronger than usual because of the new OVAs. XD;
Another story 3 is what I wish Shin Tenipuri focused on!!! New captains, fears about the future, what happens now that the third years are leaving? etc. I would rather have seen more of this than a bunch of rivals grouped together for one panel cameos. Still, I think of Shin Tenipuri as an extra...treat. No idea where it's heading at the moment. My favorite parts are still the parts where the senpai are instructing their kouhai, leaving the team to them. It's just not very prominent.
What is awesome about this OVA is that all the minor second and first years actually get some screentime.
What's even more amazing is that HORIO actually plays tennis in this. Can you imagine that? Kachirou was great too. The tennis scenes are very pretty and smooth. Wonderful quality.

Ryoma was a little out-of-the-blue since he was supposedly still stuck in America, but well, I can't complain about his sudden appearance since he and Kintarou are just fantastically over the top with their rally. Rallying across a river, dashing through traffic, jumping from a bridge...no one should ever try this with real tennis. =P
My favorite part of the episode. ♥ Well, not this particular scene, but I love the idea that the senpai want to help them but don't want to end up doing everything for them, but they still end up helping anyway and both Momo and Kaidou are struggling to create a new team but can't let go of their old one.
That was one long sentence. Anyway, we get to see some more of Shitenhouji too, which is always great. We actually get to see their vice captain who no one remembers. XD;
Now I will be sad and lament that there probably won't be any more animated Tenipuri.
