Prince, Prince, and more Prince

Man, I am obsessed with 1/2 Prince. (I've read too much of the novels this weekend) I've been eying my wig for Tadase again and thinking of the red contacts I'm getting for Tadase and how I can totally use that for Prince too. I'm even looking at elf ears. I can possibly do his first outfit. Only one weekend after this left until Fanime...I don't think I'll be able to get any new cosplay done. D:

If you have not read 1/2 Prince, you can read it here! I recommend it to people who like MMORPGs and series with a dash of gender bender, keeping secrets, comedy, making fun of other series, and romance~. This is a series where characters even have online names like Legolas and Kenshin. There are lots of Chinese cultural references too.

Today, I doodled a lot of Prince to practice his expressions. I haven't drawn anything original yet...still practicing with Prince's faces from the manhua~. This is with reference up to chapter 7. I'm going to go through the other chapters when I have time. There are some more cool shots of him...


Seriously, he looks different every time!!!! even in the original Bottom left one...shoujo? XD; I think my drawings of him make him look more like Miwa. D:


Ahaha, the middle right one doesn't even look like him. I like the top left and the bottom right one. Top left = good deal of angst. XD; Bottom right is when Prince starts being serious (and starts having smaller eyes). Darn, I thought I'd gotten used to his hair, but after he gets the tiara, his hair starts being parted!! I draw the tiara like a strawberry. :D

I've been unable to work on any cosplay this weekend because of guests. Next week...I'll be writing my finals. =/ This year, I'll be even more pressed for time than last year when I was still finishing Soren's sleeves the night before.

I hope I can relax during Fanime and not think about teaching that weekend. D:

Naaah, he doesn't look like Miwa - he'd not glaring enough. ;p Or have big enough, and as many, eyelashes. *stares at Miwa* And you wonder why you got mistake for a girl?
Okay, the left second row one is from when Prince first opens his eyes when Lan's deciding what character to be, and the one beside that one is from the second chapter. :3
XD I think the eyes make the bottom left look like he's supposed to be in a shoujo.

Prince's head seems... flat when you get used to the later chapters with the tiara and the parting, and then you start reading the earlier chapters again. XD;; Or maybe that's just me.

I'm amused by the picture above the bottom left picture - it looks like his ears are down as well since he's shouting. I wonder if his ears move depending on how he feels, like a dog? *has been re-reading Guard Dog*

Miwa has sooo many eyelashes. Makes me wonder how he looks in real life. How did he turn that way in the game? Huh, I wonder if Second Life characters age.

Ahaha, yup, the second row 1st one is practically the first time we see Prince. I sort of went through the chapters in order and doodled whichever faces looked nice. :3 I haven't tried his sillier expressions yet.

I was all ready to start some original drawings, and then I hit chapter 7 with the tiara and the parted hair!!!! NOOOO!!!! All the practice still wasn't enough!

Uhhh, the one above the bottom right one is from when he first encounters Miwa and Wicked. I think it was when he was exchanging blows with them? I don't quite remember. XD; He has no pupils in the original, but doing that looked so weird in my drawing so I added some pupils for him. XDD

XD Some of them are... more familar than others *points to icon* XDD;; I recognise a few of them, but I wouldn't be able to tell where exactly in the manga (which is probably a good thing or my obsession's really growing out of control).

He does. *looks at some of the women* Ahaha! XD Fairsky has three eyelashes (though she sometimes has four)! I think Rose does as well. He has bigger and more lashes than the women do! XDDD

That's... a good point. 'Cause they only look what what you look like when you first log in, don't they?

He seems to lose his pupils whenever he's doing an ultimate/final attack... But I can only remember seeing him pupil-less one other time so...

The scene in your icon is pretty memorable. :3 The one right before the first match is too! I stopped before that though. XD;

Miwa truly does have way too many eyelashes. XDD I wonder why he decided to go for that look and that class. He should have been able to preview how his character looked!! He can't possibly not think people won't mistake him for a girl. XDD

I think so. Now I'm wondering what happens when people age. Does the character age with them? Or does the character stay that age forever? It makes sense for characters who are already older to stay that age (like Gui) but for younger characters like Doll, wouldn't it suck being stuck young? (well, some people might prefer staying young...) This probably doesn't matter though, since I have a feeling Second Life is not going to survive long enough for characters to age. ):

Other times when he's doing his final attacks, I think his eyes are hidden? Like...in the scene with Wen and Yun at the restaurant...we just see his profile and a large grin. :3

Ahahaha, well, I have guests this week. I'd be working on cosplay (and my final) except for both I need to spread my work all over the floor, so I'm waiting until the guest leaves. That means I can only do things at my desk in the meanwhile. =x

Heh. He could have been impulsive. "I wanna play now. Human." 'Does it look like me? Yep.' "C'mon, hurry it up already!" Maybe it's 'cause he's younger, so, therefore, 'cuter'. ... *shrugs*

Considering how fast things progress, I'd think a Second World would come out or something so people transfer over. (I'm trying to figure out how a game that says it's 99% real, has pain at 30% - or is just just talking about the external stimulus?) Hmm. It could be pretty nostalgic playing young characters. *is thinking about... Mireille/Mistral in .hack//* Actually, how could you improve from 99%? Going up to 100% DD: Then people really won't leave the game and/or die, one way or another. Guess it could be another kind of genre, rather than an rpg.

Hm, do you know what colors Prince's beginner outfit is? I know his jacket thing later on is black and silverish, but I have no idea for his beginner clothes. I don't think there's any reference...

I think the green and white's right - just not so garishly pea green. Dark/forest green? The chibi versions of the other characters on the other covers seem to follow the full versions (I have no idea about the regular versions of the people beside the chibi versions though. @___@)

I thought that training the phoenix would make a nice fic, but then Gui is able to control the phoenix for that moment when he's avenging Prince. Does the phoenix talk in the manga? It talks in the novels since it's over level 40!

No idea how the pay works for this. XD; However it is, all of them are hooked!

Nope, they didn't make a fuss about the outfit change at all. One scene, he's still wearing his beginner outfit. Next scene, Prince is holding a sign and wearing a new outfit! Does Lolidragon's outfit change too? I think it changes...

Hm, it's probably dark green? I've seen someone color it like that. I was always imagining black in my mind, but from the chibi it looks green. :3

Or, at least, 'hmph' *snerk* Well, are we given a definite timeline between the matches 'cause it could be at least a couple of hours between matches, and then there was the whole forfeit for the Hell's Murderers so that could have given them some time too. *tries to shove the plotbunnies towards you*

Yulian's clothes changed when she got married to Wolf - I thought she was Doll when I was flicking through the earlier chapters. XD;; I don't think Doll's clothes have changed.

I was comparing the phoenix to pokemon too. XD; Reminded me so much of charizard. Hahaha, playing with plot bunnies is dangerous! They're rabid! (Now I'm reminded of Doubt. Those rabbits are freaky!)

That... would be hilarious, it being all like a robot. If it was like that, there would probably be an option to change the voice - and I can see exactly where that goes. XDD;; People desperately trying to get certain voices (bonuses for doing certain things in the game? Or if you buy the game guide?) like celebrity voices or voice actors...

FINALSSSS???? what finals It's not just finals, there's also work to consider. ~_~ I'm still working next week after all. One final is this coming Monday, one project due Wednesday, and two finals due before the 20th. It's not TOO bad a load, but I don't see any time for cosplay. ): (I need to practice drawing more. D: My hand feels so clumsy.) Why must Fanime be so close to finals...

I think you'll like it. =P The heroine is quite funny and makes a really good bishounen. XD;
