Tenipuri, DW, Legend of Basara, cosplay

Tenipuri:
I finally, finally watched the yakiniku episode for Prince of Tennis (I thought I watched it before, but I guess I only saw part of it from the 100 song marathon!). It is hilarious. I laughed so much. I still haven't finished watching the newer musicals (I'm only half an hour in for both Hyoutei cast A and the Shitenhouji musical) but oh my gosh, the One More Step song just tugs at my heart. I'm not that big of a Seigaku fan, but it's still so touching that the series got so far (it's impressive! other series stop halfway) and that even the musicals have brought us all the way to Shitenhouji...and very soon, the last match. The new Tenipuri chapters have left everyone gaping...I hope A LOT of chapters are dedicated to the matches and delve inside each person's head. Because those are some seriously interesting match ups even though they're all mind breaking. I've been getting into Tenipuri all over again because of twistserve_tcg. Currently playing Boys be Glorious...Yuuta's my partner! He eats sweets like crazy and talks about his aniki all the time. I'm at the part where the tournament's about to start. I want to try out the girl's side too. I will flail about this game in another post.

Dreamwidth:
It seems that everyone's moving to DW! I'm lucathia over at DW. Feel free to friend! I'm very lonely over there. I got an invite code thanks to ramble_corner (thanks so much~!). I'm not sure what I will be doing with my DW. Probably not much at the moment, but if I ever use it, it will be for fandom. My personal LJ will be staying here, not that many of you are following it.

Legend of Basara:
I wasted one of my free days during my Spring break reading this manga. Gods, it has so many twists and turns and is just epic. It has lots of touching scenes, a good deal of romance and messed up identities. I couldn't stop after I started! I like Sarasa most of the time, but I'm not too much a fan of the Red King (...I can't believe I already forgot his name!!)

...I am a HUGE fan of Asagi though. |D He reminds me so much of Namiki from Mekakushi no Kuni! Both their looks and their personality!! Any Asagi fans out there???? :O Have a comparison pic!


Cosplay:
Gosh, it's already May. Fanime is soon! I started painting the blue strips for Tadase (from Shugo Chara) and I bought my red contacts! I don't think I have enough fabric paint for both the cape and the shorts though. D: I'll have to buy more...shipping is expensive. ;___; I want to make Kiseki to go along with my cosplay. I think...when I get tired of contacts and the wig, I'll take those off and cosplay Kairi instead. <3 I can cosplay him by tying up my hair. I'd look just like him with his character change when he has his hair up (and I already have glasses~). :DDDD

Should I go to AX? D:

Is it confusing? :3 I find the interfaces very similar to LJ. There doesn't seem to be a lot of style options yet. I like that there's a crossposting option...I could type my entries up over there and it'll crosspost over here too! Haven't tried it out yet though. What confuses me is where Dreamwidth came from and why people are so eager about it. Other LJ mirrors didn't gather this many followers when they started! I wonder what makes Dreamwidth different...I hope it'll last.

What Prince? XDDD Oh, do you mean my Tegaki drawing? XDD I'm sad...I colored it but submitted the uncolored version. ): Now you make me want to draw more. I was going to go paint some more lines for my cosplay.

I am sooooo tempted to cosplay Prince (I already have the red contacts for another cosplay), but I wouldn't ever wear something that shows off my stomach. XDDD

The chapter releases have been pretty fast lately. Almost caught up with the raws!

Oooh, that part. I think it's just like LJ? Except instead of friends, it's called giving access to and subscribing to. I'm not sure what "other subscriptions" under the people part refers to yet though.

XDD I started doodling that pic after one of your entries, but my mouse just kills me. =/ My hands feel so clumsy when I try drawing lines on the computer. I think I'll try some traditional art of Prince next.

Haha, it's all right. It's getting too late for painting now. I should...finish some school work too.

So many fictional characters have no problems showing off their stomach. I don't know how they do it! I would be so self conscious.

Only three more! The next volume needs to come out soooon. I guess in the meanwhile I'll just hope for some fanfic...or maybe write some. *checks ffnet* Hahahaha, looks like the manhua section is getting populated with 1/2 Prince fics. This series needs its own section!

I have a tablet...but it's still so hard to use. I think I forgot to install the drivers, so it's not pressure sensitive.

I need to practice more~ I'll be drawing a lot of Prince's head. XDD

I'm surprised there are only so few manhua fics (for the Korean section too). Unless people have been putting them under miscellaneous?

Oh yeah. Chapter 27. I just read the scanlated chapters for up to 25. Interesting to see how they decided to translate some things. I would just go with calling Prince "Big brother." Is Wen a guy? He's a guy, right? I wonder why they chose those jobs when one of them is a good fighter in real life!

D: I... can't tell. I'm pretty bad at telling if a person's a guy or a girl. I'd say guy, or else Huang Wei wouldn't have beat up Wen.

The file type got changed to mkv so I think that's why. There's an explanation something about 'hard subs' and 'soft subs'. @___@ I'll figure it out when exams are finished.

Wen seems pretty flat, so I think Wen's a guy. His interactions with Huang Wei also hint at that. (I had a difficult time with Van. I entirely thought Van was female until the scene with Nan Gong Zui's sister.

I love the RL scenes. Wish there were more! With any character.

Oooh. Well, something to leave for after your exams then. The second half is when they start getting into the mystery more.

God, Van. I totally thought 'he' was a 'she' and really can't see any masculine traits still. ;p The only reason I got he was a he was when Prince dragged him over to Wolf during the free-for-all and said 'Heal him too'.

XD I knoow. I want more rl scenes too. ... Most of my plotbunnies focus on the real life. Probably because we don't see much of it. ;p

It's...even harder to tell in Chinese because there is no "he" or "she
...just one word for both. I think the translators had some problem with that too until they caught on that Van's a guy. XD; Their notes at the end of one of the chapters seems to hint at that. :3

Fanfic is great for filling in scenes that we don't get to see as much. I don't have any plot bunnies for things in game yet since so many of the things I want to see are happening!! (Hee, I want to see Lan's friends reactions in RL at getting a "big brother")

:D It so is. I think if I got a plotbunny for being in the game, it'd probably end up having a long plot I guess - it seems to lean that way to me? Hmm.

*eyes the bunny* I can see them bouncing up to Lan, chatting animately about their 'big brother', and Lan's just nodding along with them, trying to not say anything that would indicate she 'was there', and then they start comparing their big brother to Prince, and what it'd be like to see them fight against each other, who was stronger.

And then Zhuo walks by. XDD

Yeah, the yakiniku episode is hilarious! One of my favorites. X) Legend of Basara takes me way back! My friend got a volume for me in high school. I never got around to reading the rest of the series though!

I can't believe I hadn't watched the episode until now. I had a hard time holding back my laughter watching this. I just love all the crazy situations they get themselves into and the tennis moves used...during eating!

Legend of Basara is worth reading to the end. There's a lot of plot. I'm really impressed at how much goes on in this series. :3 So many characters! *flails*

It's a new journal site. Lots of people seem to be moving there. I probably won't be moving, but I expect that LJ will start having less activity.

Just the opposite of most people then! A lot of people seem to be shocked over this latest chapter. I expected it would turn out this way. Now to see if the coach actually carries out what he says...

I'm very undecided about AX at the moment. I'll decide before the end of May since I think that's when the prices go up again. =/

Whatever happens, I hope there are some intense matches and that matches aren't just glossed over. (though it has been 5 chapters and we're still on the first day...right?)

May is turning out really busy too. =/ Hopefully I can take a day off the Friday of Fanime.
