I've read some chapters of Shugo Chara! :D I haven't watched very much of the anime though. I do want to continue it sometime. It's cute~.

I need to catch up with Soul Eater too. I think...I left off with the episode with Excalibur, or maybe the one after that...? Don't quite remember. I haven't read any of the manga though. I'm up to date with the Reborn manga, but I haven't watched any of the anime. Have you watched any of the Reborn anime? I wonder if I should watch it...

Aw, you and Tsubasa. XD; I think I need to reread the whole series. I don't remember where I left off anymore. Pretty early on...at least 10 volumes ago. ^^;;

Shugo Chara is better than Soul Eater XD Soul Eater has a way better plot, but Shugo Chara characters you can't help but fall in love with. =^.^= Mmm I could hardly read the Reborn manga ^^; I have to get back to a manga reading stage.

TSUBASA *.* is so... CLAMP. ^^; I won't say the story or characters are any different from typical CLAMP. But KuroFai<3 is so much love~ ... probably because they remind me of TezuFuji, but with more talking, more obvious personalities, and less one-expression-only-ness. XD

I should get around to watching the anime then. XD The voices must make it even cuter~. I think, don't you have plans for cosplaying Shugo Chara? Good luck with that! (er, if I'm remembering correctly...) Can't wait to see it. :)

I thought Soul Eater was supposed to have no plot! That was what I heard before I started watching the series, but it seems to have something going on. I don't have a favorite yet in Shugo Chara. Amu's pretty cool though. :3 I guess that means you watched the Reborn anime. Mm, I should watch it for more Dino screen time. He hasn't shown up in forever in the manga.

Tsubasa color pages are all so pretty. *__* I can stare at them for a long time. It is very CLAMP. I think I'd enjoy it much more if I knew all the crossover characters too. I only know some of them. :3 But the original characters (Kuro and Fai are original to Tsubasa right?) are quite wonderful too.

Yes yes, I cosplayed as Nadeshiko :D I still really need to get more elements for her costume though... right now I'm using a very nice work shirt and one of Colleen's black jackets ^^; I still want to get more accurate boots, and her hair piece is... well...needs to be properly made. :D We had a group of 6 at PMX: Amu, Miki, Suu, Kukai, Nadeshiko, and Ikuto. ♥ I would be so happy if you joined us! We're supposed to have a Ran too... hopefully by Fanime. :3 Though I think our Miki and possibly our Kukai don't go to that many cons >.< ...

Soul Eater has lots of plot! XD lots and lots of it. I like it, I want to see more, and the characters grow on you ... but Shugo Chara is true love. ^.^

My mother framed my Fai holding Mokona fanart =^.^= it's like classic CLAMP pictures, with a slightly more modern style, I really ♥ it. Kuro and Fai are indeed both original :D and they're my favorite. I really like the new main characters CLAMP has come up with, for xxxholic too. Though their bad guys are still kind of stereotypical CLAMP ^^; but I guess we'll see...

Oh, so you're doing it again for Fanime? :D Sounds like fun! Well, I'm only able to go to Fanime and possibly AX. Hm, what other characters are left? No one's doing Tadase yet? I don't think I can pull him off though. Another female character would be nice. Do you have any pictures of your cosplay? :D

XD; Actually, I don't know if it's a group plan. But I don't think anyone's gotten to re-wear it yet and I still have lots of perfections to make!

Let's see... off the top of my head: Tadase, Yaya, Kairi (but C.c. may make Kairi too XD), and Rima - the plaid is really complicated though, we bought a fabric from Joanns and dyed it then painted on stripes. ^^; So we'd have to work you through it. For other characters: Utau (but Genevieve may do her), Nikaidou-sensei XD, Yukari Sanjo, Diamond, and all the remaining minor characters and guardians.

;__; I don't have a single picture! It's so sad... Eurobeat king took some, I'm still trying to find them on his album, and so did our Miki but I haven't gotten any from her. ^^; Maybe none of them came out well.... our Royal Capes are perfect though. No one can rival our capes. >D

Hm... I don't remember, I think Soul Eater plot starts up fairly early but there's certainly a lot once you get to a certain point. There's some character intro in the beginning, but they're pretty smooth about it, they take so many episodes to introduce each character, there really aren't that many total fillers. If any... I think whatever you want to term filler is still character intro so...

My mom put it in a wall frame and put it in the hallway :D a long with a CSS picture of Sakura and Shaorin. Nyaaa I want to put up my nightime!KuroFai poster too, since Kurogane is the only one not in the hall, but it doesn't quite fit cause it's so dark and the others are bright and happy. ^__^; And it's my mother's hallway... but I'll probably still frame it :D maybe I'll put it in my new place. :3

The plaid does look really complicated! Wow, you had to die it and paint stripes on? Did you paint both the dark stripes and the lighter ones? It looks fabulous. Sounds pretty intimidating too though. Wah, I need to watch this more. I know who most of these characters are, but I don't remember what I thought of them. Utau's outfits look nice. Yaya would probably be all right, but genki and me don't mix. XD Perhaps Tadase would be better, but I see that you have actual guys as guys in your group. That's even better. =P

Those capes are perfect. *___* I don't think I'd be very good at making capes. D:

Haha yes, lots of character intro. I suppose that can't be called filler. I loved the character intros. They were so stylish, especially the first three episodes. ♥

The plaid was super painful ^^; but it's really accurate looking. :D I hope we can get the group together again, and with more people ~.~ probably AX will be the easiest.

I saw the Shugo Chara 2009 calendar today. It was so cute. <3

I hope you can get the group together again. <3 I want to see! And maybe join in. I need to watch more of the series. Plaid still looks hard though. =P Did you make the capes and skirts first and then paint them, or did you paint the entire cloth and then made stuff out of them? :O

I should bring it up next time I see someone from the group ~ they're all students at UCLA ^^;

First we dyed the fabric, then we cut out the pieces, then we painted the stripes using a LOT of tape ^^;, then we sewed everything together.

Is there are character you're interested in? :D

The calendar waaas cute. I was tempted to get it, but I ended up getting a Detective Conan one since it had Kaitou Kid in one. XD

What a process. @__@ I'd be afraid of making the cape or whatnot wrong after going through so much hard work dying it! :O

Hm, I think either Tadase or Yaya. I'd say Utau, but you already have someone thinking of doing that, right? Hm, does anyone have green eyes? Maybe I can use my colored contacts for two characters this time around. ^^; That'd be convenient...

XD ooo. I got to see the Shugo chara calender! but we were in a rush cause of metered parking so I didn't get to look through it really. ^__^;

XD; The cape is actually really easy. The only scary part is hemming since there's no going back if it's too short, and because we put the white double fold bias tape around it, it's a hassle to fix if it's too long. ^^; It's not that big of a deal though. The collar might be tricky... we modified it slightly. I'll try to work you through it...

YAY You'd be so cute as either Tadase or Yaya!! I should double check if my friend is serious about Utau, she just sort of mentioned it when Shugo Chara cosplay came up ^^; I don't know if she's planning on it or not... Mmm... I think all three of those characters have blue eyes but I don't remember. ^__^;; ... Kukai's the only one I can think of with green eyes. ^^;; ...

Waaah anyway let me know! We'll probably have to help you with the cape, just so it comes out the same as ours... let me know whether you want to do the guy or the girl and I'll let whitelilacs know and we'll see what we can work out XD

The collar does look tricky. The way Yaya ties her cape is pretty cute though. I'm only on episode 6th of the anime so far. Right now, I've been taking a lot of screencaps of Tadase. XD; I think I'm leaning more towards him. Yaya looks cute with her ribbons, but I like Tadase more as a character. I'd like to make his Shugo Chara too. So cute with that little crown. Tadase has red eyes! If I cosplay him, I'll definitely get red contacts, since I need them for a previous cosplay. I was debating not getting the contacts just for an old cosplay, but if I can use it for more than one cosplay, it'll be more worth it!

I'll definitely need help with the cape. :O And I don't really know how to make shorts either. =x I tried making shorts for my Rikkai cosplay, but that didn't turn out well, so in the end I just modified a pair of white shorts I had. But the Shugo Chara one will have to be made from scratch since it has to match the cape. What kind of cloth did you buy? I'm thinking of buying cloth soon, maybe this weekend. I only have a bit of time left before my semester starts. And when it does, I won't have time for much sewing. ): I should practice making shorts with my leftover cloth first. X3;;

Ok ok, I'll work it out with Colleen :D she's making Kairi too so basically we're making three sets of boy version (I'm thinking of making Nadehiko too) ~ C.c. and I will buy and dye the fabric and probably cut out the pieces for you and send them to you. I'll find out from C.c. what paint you need to buy for the stripes... we'll work you through it as best we can. ^__^;; I have to figure out the boy version too XD;; ...

Oooo, okay, so you're buying the cloth? (Yay, we'll match~) I'll wait for it then. *___* I'll start with the other parts of the costume, which should be much easier. I haven't been able to see under Tadase's cape though. He's always wearing it!! But it should be the same as Kukai's, I think? Just a different way of wearing it? =x

Nya I know what you mean =~.~= it's so much easier to work on uniform-type things together nya!

We're not certain but we're pretty sure that the boys where a white dress shirt (check the ends of the sleeves, you can see the way the white cuffs go), with a black suit jacket, and a blue tie. (Kukai doesn't wear his tie ^^;). We're going to try to find the ties and buy identical ones - I'll buy one for you too once we find them. :D

Are you going to make the little crown? =^.^=

I don't think I've even finished the first season of KKM. Another on my to watch list. XD; Wow, the Shugo Chara anime is so long! The manga doesn't even have that many chapters. I guess it diverges a lot?

Okay~ :D I'm going to start looking for a wig. Do you think it should be more like normal blond hair, or should it be more yellow? =x

:O ooo I ... don't know. ^^; I've never had a blond wig before (though I'll have to get one for KKM should it go through)~ his hair is pretty bright yellow. Maybe something through cosworxs? :3

Yellow might be too bright? =x But I guess I would fit in more with Amu with a wig that's more yellow than blond since Amu's hair is pretty bright pink. XD; The Wisp wig from Cosworx looks good.

Never mind, I'm getting a yellow/white blend. XD;; Hopefully it'll turn out all right. Not quite sure how the yellow/white part is distributed, but if it's in chunks, I'm going to color the white parts with a different sharpie to balance it out. Ah, me and wigs and sharpies. XD;; I've done it to two wigs so far. This Wisp from cosworx was on sale, so I think it was worth it for the price. :3

:D So C.c.'s gonna try to buy and dye the fabric next week and get it to you asap. The patterns we're using are:

Butterick B5221 (c pattern, need to shorten the length) -- shorts
Butterick B4419 (c pattern, with modified collar) -- cape

:3 Sometimes Joann's has $1 sales on patterns, or we can try to get the patterns for you if you're having trouble. I'm going to see if I can meet up with c.c. before she mails everything and cut out the modified collar, so you have the same shape that we do. Also, you have to extend the front corner edges of the cape, so that you can iron them back (to create the tiny little lapel flap thing).

For the fabric paint: The paint can be bought at a Blick's art store. The paint is pebeo Setacolor fabric paint http://www.dickblick.com/products/pebeo-setacolor/ ^^; C.c. forgot the color name but she has to go buy more - she can buy the paint for you too if that's easier.
