Helen~! I feel like I haven't talked to you in ages, well, not very long conversations since our emails. I'll be awaiting your return card. ♥ I only wrote a little bit about substituting (have you substituted before? I think you wrote something about standing in for a teacher before?) but my first experience subbing at this one middle school was an absolute nightmare. *shudders* I think that school will forever gossip about me. My later experiences were all perfect compared to that one. ^^;;

Awww, yeah, I've only been following two series this season, One Outs and Vampire Knight Guilty (which ended today!!). I don't think there's a One Outs episode this week. ): When people ask me for recent recs, I can't really come up with anything. I've been following a lot of manga though!

Sou desu ne! I suppose the both of us have been quite busy. My first semester at the uni sort of broke my brain and now I'm waiting for my grades. *crosses fingers*

I haven't substituted in a "real school", only at my work place, which is a private after-school program thingy. And they're fourth graders, so it's not my target area of middle/high school. ^^

I think you'll be able to do fine though! The first time is always argh'y after all.

I'm just trying to catch up... but I haven't been downloading very much since it messes with my brother's WoW game. XD And I always forget to download when he's not at home.

Translating was one of the main reasons why I wanted to learn Japanese. I'm so happy that I'm able to translate what I want. \o/

I've been cleaning up my room... that is, moving things around so that they all fit somewhere. XD;; But I've been taking it easy a lot. I'm hoping to get a lot more fandom things accomplished, but we'll see!

I don't think we're doing anything special for New Year's either... but this weekend (?), we're celebrating my grandpa's birthday as well as my cousin's early. So I suspect that there'll be a lot of relatives. OTL I suppose we can consider that my New Year's plan. XDDD

Haha, this is so not spam. We have very meaty messages. ♥ I hope you get the grades you want! :O One of my professors said she won't have our grades until after Jan, so we'll have a "NOT REPORTED" for our grades. =/ It looks scary.

Oo, your target is middle school/high school? Wow! Is your subject English? I sort of thought I might want to teach English, but I didn't want to teach high school and middle school frightens me. I substituted for middle school language arts once though, and it was wonderful~. Fourth graders is around where I'll be. We need to swap. XD

WoW is everywhere. XD Downloading does take up a lot of bandwidth...I guess that's where manga comes in. That takes less bandwidth. :3

Three out of my five classes have a blank for my grades and "0.0" credit since the grades aren't there, so it's rather frightening...

It is! Teaching multi-subject sounds daunting so I rather just stick with English. XD;; I suppose the younger ones are easier to deal with, but working with higher level of thinking is fun. We should swap ne!

My brother is so addicted to WoW, it's not even funny. XD We don't see him come out of the room unless it's for a bathroom break or he's hungry.

...that's pretty frightening, to see 0.0 credit. I wonder if my system does that but I just never noticed. 0___0;;

I think teaching just one subject must be nice too, especially since you can go into depth with one thing and you can do so much more with older students. I'm not sure if I'd have been able to deal with 5 to 6 periods of different students though. I have trouble enough remembering names of the sixty six graders I had!

XD; I wonder what it is about WoW that makes people so addicted. I'm glad I never started, since I probably would get sucked right in too.

I think I can do a lot with English, since there is no one interpretation of a piece of literary work. I think being able to learn from the students and what they can pick up from a story will be interesting. ^_^ At least that's what I look forward to most.

Remembering names is going to be really difficult for me. OTL Especially the quiet ones! I wonder if I can do some questionnaire thingy at the beginning of the year, so I can remember little things about them. Then I might remember them easier?

I don't have a lot of time to devote to it like my brother does (since he barely does anything else). So lucky for me. XD

Waiting feels so terrible! I stopped checking since I know it'll be a while before that NR becomes an actual grade.

You can do a lot with English~. Oo, reading literary works together must feel quite different from the teacher's side. And learning from the students, definitely something we can all benefit from. :D

Mm, the troublemakers and the ones who always volunteer are very easy to remember. The quiet ones do slip by...I wish I were faster at sketching so I could sketch everyone to remember them! My brother drew his entire class anime-style for Christmas. It's the cutest class roster every. XD Questionnaires should be helpful.

Lately I have been pwned by fic exchanges. ^^;; I thought I'd have enough time after classes ended for them...but not really. XD;;

It feels strange to change back into English afterwards. XD; I had to resist buying new clothes since I knew I already had a bunch piled up at home!

I've never really been in a situation with a lot of extended family...I imagine it must be a little awkward sometimes. 0__0;; I hope you enjoy it though!

I have a stash of food-stuffs around, just in case I get hungry, but they're not healthy really... so... XD;; Now that I don't have school or work, I always get randomly hungry! OTL

While tutoring for AVID, some of the other tutors don't understand what you can do with English... that is what questions can arise from it. Math, they understand, because there are logical steps in solving a problem. But for English, there is logic, but it's applied differently... I suppose. ^_^ Working with Math is fun, but I do like English more~

Having a teacher to draw them anime-style is SO AWESOME. OTL I bow down to your brother. I hope that I'll be able to remember all my future students. OTL

I don't think I have too much flexibility to do any fic exchanges and all, so I usually pass on them. ^_^;; Time always seem to elude us!

でも、ルカさんがその試験を取った事は本当にすごいですよ。何時か、私も取りたい。じゃ、もし来年私はJLPTを取れば、そして２０１０年に試験が変われば（四つのレベルから五つのレベル）、how would that affect the past test scores/passes? (*is at limit of Japanese*) XDDD

I think, I messed up a whole lot but uh. Yeah.

I have some cousins who are around my age (college-age) but they're older, so it's like.. I have to talk about school stuff with them or something. XD;; I wish we had more in common! OTL Anime! It's fun! X33;;

There's so much you can do with English. I think I like substituting for English better. I can think of things on the spot for the kids to do. Not so with math. =/

It is!! I wish I had a teacher who'd draw us in anime style. I think...it might be a little easier to remember my students when I'm their actual teacher, since I'll be responsible for everything then! And I'll be seeing them for 6 hours a day. I hope you'll be able to remember all your students.

I have...two down, two more to go for fic exchanges. I entirely miscalculated how much free time I'd have. ORZ.

*flails* Not sure how to explain this in Japanese. 今のプログラムは　multi-subject credential + masters...朝は小学校（先学期は毎週２日にいた）、そして４時から１０時に大学のクラスがあった。来学期はもっと厳しい。毎日小学校に行くべきだ、そして夜のクラスもある。Field work、４０時間は厳しいね！

日本語３０６は第三年の日本語のクラスか？

JLPTはいい経験だ！LAとSFで試験を取ることができる。遠い所から来た人もいた。荷物を運んできた。０＿＿０　まあ、もしレベル１の試験を取るつもりなら、大体変わらないと思う。レベル２とレベル３の方が分からない。新しいレベルはレベル２とレベル３の間だと聞いた。

I messed up a lot too. XD But this is good practice! I haven't thought in Japanese for a long, long time.

Aw, always talking about school is boring. Talking about anime is much funner. XD; Though that's hard too when there's so many different series out there.

Apparently I get hungry when I'm bored... which is probably not a good thing since I'm not doing anything physical to get rid of all the calories and such. XD;;

I suppose going over some problems in math for review might help fill in the time? Or word problems! Or doing problems on the board. ^_^

Let's both do our best! I'm so horrible at remembering names... I think I'm more afraid of forgetting students' names after a year when they're not in my class anymore (and then they come visit me! OTL)

...I have so much junk food now. Chips, cake, cheese cake, chocolate...I don't know what to do with it!! My mom stocked up when she thought my friends were coming over. Mm, I'm not doing anything physical either. Winter just makes me want to huddle underneath my blankets.

I think I've already forgotten most of the names of the students I had last year. ORZ.

Surprisingly, my family and I finished a lot of the food already. 0__0;; The strawberries though...went bad pretty fast. Mold. Ew. I finally finished my pumpkin pocky from Halloween.

Fic writing? I just have one exchange left. :3 Though that one is the BIG one, since I need to write 31 different pieces...still deciding if I'm going the drabble route or not.

Oh yeah, sometimes when I watch anime of manga I've already read, I don't quite know if I watched it already or not. Especially for Detective Conan!

Oo, that sounds like it'd taste good. I always order Orange-a-Peel at Jamba Juice, and that's oranges, strawberries, and bananas. When it gets warmer, I'll definitely start craving smoothies again. XD

Pumpkin pocky that I bought during Halloween! The container it came in had a jack-o-lantern on it. XD I thought it was really cool so I bought it...but after I bought it, I thought that pumpkin pocky would taste absolutely weird, so I didn't eat it until last month. XD After eating one pack, I discovered that it really doesn't taste all that different from strawberry pocky. And then I finished the rest so quickly.

Seiyuu are love, most definitely. ♥

I've never tried anything from Jamba Juice before... I will definitely try this summer! X333 Though my mom will probably get angry because we're spending so much on something we can make at home. XDDD
