The story is set in Taiwan and deals with the supernatural. Humans have the ability to wish dolls to life. The main character is a college student called Jiang Ziya who has the ability to see ghosts and spirits with one of his eyes, but he is fairly clueless about the supernatural world.
How Sun is involved is that there is one character, a female author called Yu Shu, who wishes to life two characters from her novels. One of the characters is Sun. So I guess you could call it a cameo? He isn't the Sun we know from LSK, but is kind of like one from an alternate universe.
