Yeah, I read a bit of Reborn when it first started, but it wasn't very interesting to me then... I picked the series back up after it got into the ring battles.
The Bakuman anime does a pretty good job (and it's especially cool seeing the in universe manga expanded on and even given fake openings!). So if you just left it at that, it's not a bad choice. :3
Ah, I liked the development in the manga! Not sure how it's done in the anime, since I never watched that far... Though I do remember feeling frustrated with Alibaba and how he'd distanced himself from Aladdin during the arc. I don't find Sinbad all that cool from the manga either, haha.
