I'm more interested in writing long stories, but I also write very slow so oneshots are more ideal. XD;
Ahhh, so much you have to write with just setting up! I'd probably skip a few steps along the way, haha. Sounds like a lot of groundwork to lay.
Ah, nice that the kids were well behaved so you could write while they did their work. :) I find that even when the kids are doing silent work (like silent reading), I expect myself to keep an eye on them the entire time, so thirty minutes of reading for them turns into an eternity for me (where I just think to myself, I wish I could be reading just like you guys!). What do you mean by 1st - 4th? You substituted for those periods...for different teachers? Oh, how neat to substitute for your old MS band director! Were the other teachers expecting substitutes to lead the students? I wonder how much teachers expect substitutes to teach with these more specialized subjects.
Ahhh, hm, the third books a good place to start with HP though, in my opinion. (since I really liked that book) Haha, with your order, you had teenagers who progressively got younger! They feel so young in book 1 now. I read them all in order. I wouldn't be able to read them out of order. =P Though I think HP lends to reading out of order better than most series since it's very formulaic with the school year.
I find I spend more time on a series than I would've if I just started with it from the beginning. XD; Since if I get back to an episode or a part I've already read or watched... I'd watch it again. XD;
