I found it pretty amusing that my very old Hikaru no Go fics started getting some hits after I posted this story. XD

I'm racing against the clock with work, so of course I'm here to post a snippet. This is from a post-canon oneshot set after A Slice of Wedding Cake~. I expect it to be around 5k~7k of rambling with nothing much happening but these two showing us around different shops. XD I'm about 1/3 of the way there, I think.

"Business looks great!" Blaze exclaimed.

Right as we reached 38th Knight Street, welcomed by a fancy sign that Sun had us decorate together, the long line queuing before us was the first thing I noticed. I followed the meandering line of customers with my eyes. It led right to the doorsteps of Moon's flower shop, Moondrop, a collaboration between Moon and the parents of Judgment's student, Hungri.

Blaze was right. Moon's shop was doing well. I tried counting the number of people in line...

"Want to visit Moon first?" Blaze asked.

There were more than enough people in line to form an entire knight platoon. It would be a long wait. I nodded anyway, since we were already here, and I didn't mind waiting in line. Blaze would be with me, after all.

Blaze strode forward. I walked with him, listening to him chatter away. He really was full of vibrance, always brimming with energy, whereas I was just the opposite. At times, I thought I might fade away. Into the shadows. Into the air. Without anyone noticing. Just like a wisp of cloud. It was more comfortable that way, too, but...

"Blaze..." I called out. He still continued on, my voice too quiet for him to catch. I reached out, tugging on his sleeve. "Blaze!"

He turned. "Huh?"

I pointed at the line.

"That sure is a long line!" he said.

When I still didn't let go of his sleeve, he scratched his head. He looked at me. He looked at the door. He looked at the line. Then he looked back at me, confused. He had likely intended to head straight inside. Maybe even by kicking the door open.

I frowned. "We should line up, too."

"But we're not customers?" Blaze asked.

"We are." I touched the heavy money pouch in my pockets. "And customers should line up."

Goal is to finish 12.5k per month. I'm at 3.8k right now. Hm hm. If I finish this fic and another part of If I Could See You, that might hit the word count. :3; Less than 2 weeks left though!
