Finished the Skip Beat anime yesterday~. It was lots of fun and had me giggling so much. I wondered how Skip Beat would translate into an anime. I don't like having too much SD faces in anime (like in Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, Magic Knight Rayearth...) but I guess Skip Beat wouldn't be Skip Beat without those faces. There was much more Sho in the beginning of the series than I remembered, which suits me just fine because Sho scenes always make me grin. Kyoko is very, very cool, but she does remind me a bit too much of the mangaka's previous heroine in Tokyo Crazy Paradise. The relationship between Kyoko and Ren (with Yashiro's cheering on the side) has a similar feel to Tsukasa and Ryuji's relationship with Kamo-san's attempts to get them together on the side.

Anyway, back to the anime. I definitely recommend it. Bo scenes were FANTASTIC. The squeaky chicken feet added to the humor. Kyoko's seiyuu made me realize how over the top Kyoko can be. The bouncing "love me" symbol throughout the show... XD;; Some scenes had me shivering with Kyoko's brilliance. ♥ Stick with it and you'll get pulled in wanting to see how Kyoko transforms.

And now, turning back to the manga...
