Oh, that part. Of course his training was useless against Yamada's cuteness. I feel bad for him. He doesn't have very good luck! His sister (did his sister appear by volume 5?) is pretty annoying too. =/
I feel that the friend doesn't mind being engaged the sister because all the Yamadas look the same. She's like a small female version of Tarou.
