Houkago wa Gin no Shirabe
A dating game after my heart. XD; I had no idea what this game was, but the synopsis mentioned the protagonist (female) going undercover at an all boy's high school to slay demons. Then I saw that one of the characters is voiced by Taniyama Kishou. Genderbending in a dating sim + one of my favorite seiyuu (singing the opening no less)? That immediately made me buy the game, haha. XD
The game's not very complicated (you're not given that many choices...), but each path is fairly different. I only played through one so far (not Taniyama's character, who is a surprisingly energetic "buzz cut" character). I like that the protagonist is fairly strong, and she doesn't get discovered very easily, at least not in the path I chose. XD I hope it's not just because I chose the shortest guy, hahaha. I'm terrible with playing through more than one path, but the others intrigue me too~

Title screen~. The outside cover features the same art too. Everyone looks so serious. |D
SD version of the characters. The one with the sword is the female protagonist, Kagurazaka Kaname.
Hyoudou Tooma, the main male lead. Despite looking like this, he has a very cheerful personality and pulls the protagonist into all sorts of things.
I went after this guy, Izumi Yuuto, good friend of Tooma. He's brash, short, and very competitive. He competes with Kaname a lot because she's around his height.
Mishiro Takaya, student council president. He's cool and collected. I didn't run into him much in my playthrough.
Kuzunoha Ren. Rumored to be gay, he calls Kaname "Koneko-chan". I didn't run into him much either, but he seemed to suspect Kaname even with our few encounters.
Abe Tadayoshi, Kaname's homeroom teacher. Often throws chalk at his students. I think he probably has some connection with Kaname's past, but I guess I won't know unless I play his path. XD
But forget all of them!!! Kaname is the coolest! XD; This is Kagurazaka Kaname, female protagonist who goes undercover at this all boys school. I liked how strong she was. :D

Flashback to a few days prior. Kaname and Tooma's introduction scene where Touma comes and tries to rescue Kaname but Kaname can kick ass! \o/ She just doesn't like violence, but Tooma came and stirred things up even more, haha.
Back in the present, we get a shot of the teacher looking cool, pffft. I guess this was his introduction shot. Everyone gets one. XD
Second day, Kaname gets surrounded by some third years from the kendo club and ends up having to show off her prowess with the sword. This guy (who turns out to be Yuuto), witnesses it all. Yuuto's introduction shot! (Yuuto kind of reminded me of Oresama Teacher art a bit here... Natsuo??)
Before this, Kaname finds out that Yuuto has a "bad" stomach, but here Kaname realizes it's not that he has a bad stomach... it's just that he drinks waaaay too much milk. I was snickering through this all because I realized right away that he was drinking so much milk because he wants to grow taller. XD; (But that much milk is unhealthy!!) I decided after this that I'd play Yuuto's path first. XD
Meeting with Ren. He calls Kaname "Koneko-chan"... and smells her shampoo and is able to identify that she uses the same shampoo as Ayano-sensei. Creepy, haha. :'D
First meeting with Takaya is not so good. Kaname runs into him in the hallways while chasing after Tooma. With this, all the characters were finally introduced. I liked Yuuto best at this point. XD;
Kaname calls on her familiar on the rooftop. She uses her familiar to inspect different parts of the school while she's in class. It's no wonder she can't do well in classes with her attention so divided. XD
In one scene, Kaname witnesses Yuuto practicing at night in order to win against her (awww). She tactfully leaves.
Kaname and Yuuto get into a lot of fights. XD; This one is about test scores... Kaname scored 25 while he scored 27, pfft, but Kaname makes the excuse saying she just transferred in while he has no excuse. XD; Before this, Yuuto challenges Kaname to a bunch of physical contests during PE. Kaname wins them all. XDD Poor Yuuto!
Kendo practice. Some time before this, Kaname is forced to join the kendo club too. XD; Tooma thinks she practices kendo because her skills with the sword are awesome, but she's actually never done kendo before (she practices the sword because of her family business of slaying demons). She helps them not get disbanded and all that.
Computer lab. Kaname wonders if Yuuto is browsing porn, but when she uses her familiar to spy on him, she discovers he's browsing a site about cats. (Yuuto is a cat lover and even feeds a cat he calls "Nyaa"). Kaname shouts out "Neko!" and scares Yuuto out of his wits. XD; He wonders how the heck she was able to see so far. She makes the excuse that she has really good eyesight since she's from the countryside. I laughed so hard here... really, good eyesight. THAT far? XD;
I really like those buttons on his shirt... reminds me of Ema Skye. XD
Here, Kaname finds out that Takaya used to practice kendo too but quit for some reason. I guess I'd have to play Takaya's path to find out why.
By this point, the story went into "Yuuto" path. There were no more choices to make, haha. XD; All I did was keep pressing my circle button... here, they went on a "date" at the donuts store. Yuuto kept denying that he liked donuts. Kaname says it doesn't matter what he likes. He can't help what he likes after all. Yuuto mistakenly things Kaname is talking about him liking her instead of the donuts (he still doesn't know she's a girl here).

Possessed!Tooma. I wonder if someone else gets possessed in the other paths, or if Tooma is always the one getting possessed. XD;
Confession scene, kyaaaa. <3 I'm glad I chose Yuuto's path since this meant I got to see Kaname being assertive. XD; She's the one who confessed first! Without any hesitancy! And Yuuto never discovered her gender until she tells him... in this way. XD
Some time after the above, Yuuto rushes in to protect Kaname so that she can recite her spells without any distraction. (since Ayano-sensei is hurt and can't help)
End sequence with the "romantic" ending. I wonder if there's a CG for the friend ending? XD; Yuuto is still too shy about saying he likes her in front of people, but Kaname forgives him this time even though Yuuto even dragged Tooma along on their date because of his nerves. (Who drags their friend along on a date??) Kaname is so cute, wearing Yuuto's pin like that. XD

I bought mine cheap ($19, used), but I don't know how much it sells for usually. |D There's also a PC version. Maybe that would be cheaper or easier to find!
I thought Tooma just had a buzz cut... but he even has this pattern shaved on his head. :O He also asked Kaname if she wanted to get the same haircut as him... hahaha. NO WAAAAY.
