Didn't participate in
yuletide again this year. I'm still on the pinch hit list though, and the pinch hits are flooding in. XD; I've saved a few letters that interested me, but I'm still busy catching up on stuff. So, likely no writing on that front.
Got some new books last month. Finally some time to post pics~

Legend of Sun Knight new edition V6, GOD new edition V3 (the artist changed, so it came with covers for V1 and V2 as well), and Key of the Sunken Moon season 2 V1-V2. Finished rereading GOD V3. Saimi's character is changed a bit so that he's more responsible as a king, and there's a bit more on 剋星(bane).

New edition of LSK V6. Lesus is featured on the cover, with Grisia in the background.

The cover is see through, with the characters on the transparent cover. What I don't get is why the characters are printed on the cover too. In the previous volumes, the background is on the cover, while the characters are on the transparent outer slip cover. Characters and background were separate. Not so for V6. Is this an error? D: I feel it's a printing error.

I mean, look at that! With the characters on both the transparent outer cover and the cover itself, when they don't match up exactly, the result is blurry. Anyway, Stephen and Charlotte on the back cover. Interesting that this edition spread the four characters out more. I think the simplified version had them all squished on the front cover. Same for V5.

I suppose the version underneath is different in that there's no text on it. At least, the back cover one doesn't have text. The front cover still has text on it.

Pull out insert art. J.U. said that the publisher published the wrong version of the picture. Above was the picture she submitted for the poster. This was the version she wanted printed in the book.

V6 character art! Aivis Stone~. That is one huge sword. I like his ponytail.
Title: Stone Knight
Association: Church of the God of Light
Appearance: A gentle, good knight
Height: 188 cm
Quotes: "I'm not at all stubborn."
Fake personality: Stubborn. He will never change his mind after making his decision.
Unknown hobby: Easy to speak and get along with.

Charlotte.
Title: Shadowpriest
Association: Cathedral of the Shadow God
Appearance: A cute girl with short hair
Height: 165 cm
Quotes: "Where is the Sun Knight?"
Fake personality: A shy priestess
Unknown hobby: Madly in love with the Sun Knight
The two in V7 will probably be Laica and Vival. I hope we get Adair in V8. (It can happen, right??)

Grisia and Lesus on their stools with a bucket of water between them. :D

Of course J.U. would illustrate the one scene Neo shows up in. With Aldrizzt to the side. XD; I'm betting that we'll see Neo illustrated in V8 as well. Maybe even in V7 during that one scene where Grisia visits him. This is the scene when Neo tells Grisia that he's leaving to take care of the land of darkness, while Grisia is thinking to himself that he doesn't know what to do. Don't leave, Teacher!

Grisia meets Charlotte and Stephen at the water fountain.

Grisia encased in the crystal.

Awww, they were both really cute at that age.

Demon King Roland!

The book came with a free postcard.

Here's the limited edition poster that came with the purchase. Depicts "The Wrong Choice" chapter~

New version of GOD v3! On the cover is Dan and his uncle. I really never thought Dan would look so smug and confident. Not how I imagined him.

Saimi~~~.

Character art of Dan. Dan was my favorite character when I first read GOD. Upon rereading, and now with this character art, I get a Nan Gong Zui feeling from him. XD;;; Usually not my type of character.
Gender: Male
Race: Half demon
Profession: Swordmage
Age: 150
Personality: mature, steadfast guy
Favorite color: Purple
Favorite food: None
Least favorite food: None
Most scared of: Death
Weapon: long sword
Hopes: Protecting Bai Saya

Saiximili, nicknamed "Saimi." Saimi is pretty adorable. He kind of gives me a feeling of the Pope though. Since he's the character who explains a lot of the stuff, like what the Pope does in LSK.
Gender: Male
Race: Winged people (is there a fancier sounding version of this? XD;;)
Profession: Stargazer part-timing as the king
Age: 38
Personality: a seer who likes to pretend to be mysterious
Favorite color: white
Favorite food: fish
Least favorite food: chicken
Most scared of: snakes
Weapon: crystal orbs
Hopes: winning against the stargazer of Beginnings

The artist of the new edition changed, so V3 came with slip covers for V1 and V2 to make up for that. Don't know what happened. The new art is nice though. Oh, I think I never took a picture of V2... But here was the first new edition art of V1.

Slip cover for V2. It's so wrinkled... ): Bad packaging!
And now for some Sunken Moon.

Key of the Sunken Moon season 2 V1. Haven't read it yet, just the teasers Shui Quan had on her website. Season 2 seems to be about visiting a whole different world, the world that's connected to the other side of the tunnel where new residents show up from. It also seems to be related to another of Shui Quan's series?

Inside.

The artist for KSM is pretty amazing. Always drawing so much for these novels!

The other side.

New character (pictured on the right) seems cute.

There's even a comic at the end~

Back cover of V1.

Volume 2.

Pull out art.

Backside of the pull out art.

Fan Tong, what are you doing to your kouhai!

I kind of wish I'd gotten the poster of this image. Back cover of V2. It was also available as a limited edition poster.

I did get one poster though~.
By the way, Shui Quan's new doujin novel to be sold in February's CWT. A bodyswap story between Ie and Naerxi. I still can't get over the fact that Shui Quan writes doujinshi of her own stuff, and the official artist (who is a guy) is even drawing the art for it. And the stuff he's being asked to draw, lol. Those last two drawings on that page...

Thank you for all this wonderful pics! The "wrong choice" poster is really...something ^^
I've always wanted to ask...about GOD is there any translation? I'm really courious about this novel . I also have some question about "key of the sunken moon" but i'll ask later because maybe reading the first two volumes might ask most of them.
no subject
I started translating GOD! It's going very slowly though, because there are a lot of other translations that have priority. Hoping to start posting sometime next year.
What sort of questions for KSM? Better ask when I still remember season 1. XD (I'm already starting to forget some details)

It's a guy. XD (So many bishounen in the series, and he's asked to draw such suggestive artwork too)

Man the art is so pretty.

The art is really gorgeous. I love that each volume comes with so much art. :)

(Anonymous) 2015-12-21 08:30 am (UTC)(link)And I wanted to ask about any translation of GOD but since the first person was already asking it and you have answered, I can only wish you not to overwork yourself! x3

Translations on GOD are coming along. Slowly, but happening. XD;

Hiiiii
Its so maddening to know one of your favourite novel is only being translated one volume a year(or maybe not even 1 volume...) Im dying with curiosty o<-< please...
Re: Hiiiii
Re: Hiiiii
Re: Hiiiii
If you really want to know...!
Yue Tui's identity (you won't find out until... I think, v5 or v6. I don't quite remember the exact volume)
He used to be a resident native to this world until he was killed and brought back to this same world by Sunken Moon. He's actually the emperor of the western city who has always had his eyes blindfolded, the very person that's written about in textbooks and is said to have killed tons of people in that battle several years ago.
Fan Tong
Fan Tong isn't actually dead. Sunken Moon has been acting up and attracting people that aren't dead to this world. When Fan Tong first arrived in the tunnel, he met Hui Shi, who was on the verge of dying. Hui Shi quickly entrusts his memories to Fan Tong, so his consciousness lives inside Fan Tong. It turns out that his soul is actually in Fan Tong as well and not just his memories. Fan Tong doesn't have his memories of how he died because he never died, and the rest of his memories were sealed by Ling Shi, who seals the memories of all newcomers. He unlocks the memories when people rise in ranks with their tassels. Fan Tong becomes a little more powerful as the series progresses, with the help of Puhahaha. By the end of season 1, he's able to hold his own against Luo Shi.
Re: Hiiiii
KJASHDASDAJSA OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY I AM FOR THESE SPOILERS!! I knew it... but how did he ends up in East City...Did they replaced him?? Because he's actually a nice cotton adorable ball? ; w ;
And Fan Tong...I cant believe Puhahaha(I still laugh at this name) help him? From what I have read from your posts. it seems the hot white long haired guy that tied his hair on top of his head is Puhahaha??? He can turn into human??? And he's related to Sunken Moon?? Also, I saw from some of the pics that Fan Tong gains black/grey tassel in the end, is it true? Will Hui Shi memories help him during the story??
WELP IM SO EXCITED RIGHT NOW
Re: Hiiiii
About Yue Tui~
No one has seen Yue Tui without a blindfold when he was the emperor. There's always been a "stand-in" emperor who appears in public scenes for him. The stand-in is his attendant. He is also Yue Tui's only friend. The stand-in is the previous emperor's actual son, but they choose the next person based on strength. He and Yue Tui are relatives and look quite a lot like each other. Yue Tui has always thought of him as his friend and confidant, but the other person doesn't think the same. One day, after Yue Tui uses royal blood to heal the other person's injuries, Yue Tui is weakened. The stand-in kills him at that time. Neither of them thought Yue Tui would be reborn. Sunken Moon pulls Yue Tui's soul back. I suspect that she doesn't want the royal blood to die out without getting passed on.
About Puhahaha~
Yes, that long, white-haired guy is Puhahaha. He is from a family of really strong weapons and armor. He's pretty much a legendary weapon. Sunken Moon is his younger sister.
More about Fan Tong.
Yes, Fan Tong gets a pretty good tassel by the end. XD; When he holds Puhahaha and uses his charms, the effect is amplified. He mostly fights that way. As for Hui Shi, his memories help Fan Tong know how to use a sword, and it also lets him speak the language of the West City.
Re: Hiiiii
Re: Hiiiii
About Yue Tui's memory and Bi Rou.
Yue Tui has all of his memories. He didn't have any of his memories sealed by Ling Shi because he didn't go through official means. He was reborn directly from East City's lake and escaped into the city, hiding his identity. He clearly remembers how he died and everything that came before that. Bi Rou is not actually a new resident. She's someone from the West City and knows the emperor's real identity.
About Puhahaha's family.
We only meet Puhahaha and Sunken Moon in KSM season 1. The other siblings are only hinted at. In season 2 of KSM (the sequel), we meet one of the younger brothers. Their other younger brother is a prominent character in Shui Quan's other series, 異願洛恩斯. I've only just read it recently. :3 Their older sister does not make an official appearance in the present in either series. She shows up briefly in a side story in 異願洛恩斯.
About Fan Tong's curse.
As of the sequel, Fan Tong's curse still isn't cured. He can speak normally with Puhahaha via their heart-to-heart thing, and Hui Shi is super good at deciphering what he's trying to say. In the three volume side story, Luo Shi and a bunch of others form a group to help Fan Tong cure his curse. They don't succeed but do manage to lift the curse for a few days. It costs too much to keep making the temporary cure though. Fan Tong learns how to get around his curse to use the charms, such as infusing two charms at once, or using them silently.
About Fan Tong and swordsmanship.
You'll see the first hints of Fan Tong's swordsmanship in the volume where we're introduced to the West City's officials. I think it's v3 where they come to get feathers to make a pillow? Hui Shi was a light gray tassel, or something along those lines, so Fan Tong's swordsmanship isn't half bad. He just doesn't have access to Hui Shi's memories from the start. They were sealed away by Ling Shi.
About Hui Shi
Hui Shi was an undercover spy sent from the West City. He was sent to the East City at a young age and became one of the officials. He was originally from the West City's royal family, and is the brother of the current stand-in emperor. The three of them, Hui Shi, the stand-in emperor, and Yue Tui are all relatives, which is why they look so similar.
Re: Hiiiii
Ahhhh so thats the reason why I keep on seeing the illustration of Yue Tui with Hui Shi and the West emperor... Bi Rou must have a high position since she knows about the emperor's identity...SHe's not bad right? I really like her with idiotic Yin Shi XDD
In the end, will the 2 cities get along like the illustrations? Or just the officials--
Ahh thank you so much for these spoilers~ Theyre like lights of hope shining on me ; w ;
Re: Hiiiii
Puhahaha's transformation is normal. He's been able to do it, but he likes his usual form the best. And he really likes to sleep. BTW, the white haired guy in the center of Season's 2 V2 cover is one of Puhahaha's younger brothers~.
Fan Tong is pretty high ranking in Season 2. XD
Yin Shi was ordered to kill Hui Shi since he was found out. Really sad. They were such good friends. D: This happens right before Fan Tong comes to this world. Hui Shi escapes to the tunnel that Fan Tong comes from and meets him there.
The two cities get along fairly well by the end. (largely thanks to Fan Tong, Luo Shi, and Yue Tui's friendship.)
Re: Hiiiii
Re: Hiiiii
Yes, that's Hui Shi in the purple. Yue Tui is in the white, and the stand-in is in the black. His name is Naerxi, though I don't know how it'll be translated yet. Yue Tui is fairly conflicted about being the emperor, but he eventually decides to take his position back.
Re: Hiiiii
From this image
who is that girl sitting next to Yue Tui?(Ship them instantly) And the one sitting between Ling Shi and Puhahaha? Is that Bi Rou sitting next to Yin Shi? They all look happy here ; w ;
Re: Hiiiii
The girl next to Yue Tui is Tian Luo Yan. (I'll let you make the connections XDDDD) The one sitting between Ling Shi and Puhahaha is Yiye. I believe he's introduced in V3. And yeah, that's Bi Rou to the left of Yin Shi.
Re: Hiiiii
From the pic of that poster you post, is that Naerxi with an owl? So hot *A*
Re: Hiiiii
Tian Luo Yan is mentioned in V1C2. Haha, yeah, that's a bird with Naerxi. The cutest pet~
Luo Shi's parentage.
We're never exactly told who Luo Shi's dad is. It should be someone from the West City, but I don't quite remember. There was more emphasis on how the queen isn't actually Luo Shi's mother. His mother was actually one of the maids. But since Luo Shi's parentage is half/half, he is able to infuse his charms with western magic. The queen had him seal that away, but later in the series, he breaks the seal and thus becomes much stronger.
Re: Hiiiii
I completely forgot about that XDDDD Istillshipthemhahahaha
Wowowow Naerxi looks really how...so much fanservice...I saw the calendar... huehehehe /nosebleeds
Huaa...now I see...wait...so fan Tong is on par with him at the end of the S1? Woah...Fan Tong has grown very strong...
I reread the chapter and its said Zu SHa can change into a girl? Wut
Re: Hiiiii
Yes, Zhu Sha can change into a girl. In his world, everyone has two genders.
Re: Hiiiii
Ah I see...Thank you very much!! You have enlighten me a lot and now I can rest in peace knowing what happened but I'll still read the novel of course...just...hoping...I wont die while waiting....
